4 Persons Killed In Maneuver Crash OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Sept 10--A civilian plane engaged in a civil air patrol maneuver crashed and burned yesterday near McCleary 20 miles west of here, killing its four occupants.

The craft, was wrecked a few minutes after leaving Moon Island Airport in the Grays Harbor area on the Pacific Coast.

The dead were identified as Chris Rothrock, 40. of Cosmopolis, the pilot; Robert McNeil, Junction City. Ray Vermillion of Aberdeen or Hoquiam, and Tony DcDattur. of Hoquiam, all In the Grays Harbor area.

Mrs. Rothrock said her husband and the other three men took off from Moon Island at about 8 a.m., en route to Yakima. 200 miles inland, on a civil air patrol problem. The plan crashed a few minutes later, approximately 20 miles from the takeoff point.

It was at first feared that five persons had perished in the crash but what had been thought was a fifth body, was baggage in the rear of the plane.
