Imogene
(Henson) Tegge, 94, of Beeville, Texas, was called
to her eternal resting place on Friday, April 30,
2021.
Imogene was born April 6, 1927 in Rosebud, Texas to
Nollie Lawrence Henson and Pauline (White) Henson.
She married Fred Stanley Tegge in Rosebud on July
20, 1947.
She was a hair stylist and bookkeeper and faithful
member of First United Methodist Church and the
Beeville Art Guild. Mrs. Tegge cherished her family
and large family gatherings, picnics and days at the
beach or the lake. She immersed herself in the life
of her church, taught Sunday School, led youth
groups, was active in United Methodist Women groups,
organized meals for bereaved families and devoted
her needlework talents to the prayer shawl ministry. |
She was preceded in death by her
parents, Nollie and Pauline Henson; husband, Stanley Tegge
on February 23, 2015; daughter, Lillian Carol Carreon;
granddaughter, Kirby Michelle Carreon; great-grandson,
Westley Thomas Roach; and sisters, Yvonne Henson and Nelda
Fae Jones.
Left behind to cherish fond memories include her daughter,
Beverly Selby; son, Wallace Tegge; brother, Charles Wayne
Henson; four grandchildren, Kyle Roach, Kendra House, Amber
Blair and Chris Carreon; 12 great-grandchildren; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, May 7, at
First United Methodist Church in Beeville followed by the
funeral service at 10 o’clock with Rev. Dean Fleming
officiating.
Mrs. Tegge will be laid to rest beside her husband at 4
o’clock that afternoon at Bartlett City Cemetery in
Bartlett, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Chance House, Kendall Duncan, Dalton
House, Hayden Roach, William Selby and Dale House.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Jones, David Jones and
Joshua Duncan. |

Lillian
“Lil” Carol Carreon, 61, passed away on November
20th, 2018.
She was born February 20th, 1957, in Austin, TX. She
was baptized at University Methodist Church in
Austin, on May 26, 1957.
She spent her younger days in Palacios, TX, but
graduated from AC Jones High School (Beeville, TX)
in 1975. She attended cosmetology school at Bee
County College from 1975-1976.
She moved to the Houston area in 1976 where she
married Terry Carreon. They wed on September 2nd,
1977. Lil worked at Sisters of Charity of the
Incarnate Word in administration from 1982-1995.

She and Terry shared 3 children
together; Amber, Chris and Kirby. They moved to Sioux Falls,
South Dakota, in 1995, where she lived for 5 years before
moving to Des Moines, Iowa.
As a child, Lil was a tomboy. She loved hiding at the top of
trees and chasing her siblings with frogs. She was always
very mischievous and stubborn, and she kept everyone on
their toes. She was always caring for others and willing to
help with whatever was needed. She enjoyed playing the
piano, coloring and painting. A few of her favorite things
were elephants and all things purple. She was also very
devoted to her family and friends, especially her
grandchildren.
Lil was diagnosed with breast cancer in October of 2009. She
went into remission in 2010 and the cancer returned in
August of 2014.
She is survived by her mother, Imogene Tegge; children,
Amber Blair (Luke Deters) and Chris Carreon (Melonie Olin);
siblings, Beverly (Dick) Selby and Wallace Tegge; nephew,
Kyle (Cristina) Roach; niece, Kendra (Dale) House; and 7
grand-children, Tyler, Zoey, Ashley, Zachary, Colton, Lily
and Becksley.
She was preceded in death by her father Fred (Stanley) Tegge,
daughter Kirby, daughter-in-law Dana, and grandbabies Zaylee
and Zayna.
A visitation service will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on
December 1st, 2018 at the United Methodist Church, 650
Ashworth Drive, Waukee, IA 50263. A second visitation
service will be held in Sioux Falls, SD, in February 2019.”
Date and time are to be determined. A graveside ceremony
will be held at South Park Cemetery in Pearland, TX, in the
summer of 2019, where Lil will be placed with her daughter
Kirby.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family for
funeral expenses. |

Nelda
Henson Jones, age 86 from Rosebud, Texas went home
to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 4,
2021 in Temple, Texas. Services will be held at
11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the First
Baptist Church of Rosebud. Jimmy Jones (son of
Nelda) and Rev. Jody Hickman will be officiating.
Burial will follow in Little River Cemetery in Jones
Prairie. Viewing will be Friday, January 8, 2021
from 10a-4pm at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson
Funeral Home in Rosebud, Texas.
Nelda was born in Briary, just outside of Rosebud,
Texas on March 24, 1934 to Nollie and Pauline White
Henson. She grew up in Rosebud and graduated from
Rosebud High School and Baylor University with a
B.A. and Master of Science of Education.
She married Richard J Jones on August 14, 1954.

Nelda taught school in San
Antonio, Beaumont, Waxahachie and then for the Rosebud-Lott
ISD as a teacher and principal for the Rosebud Primary
School until she retired in 1988. Nelda accepted Christ at
age 10 and was an active church member at First Baptist
Church as a choir member, Sunday School teacher, and on
numerous committees.
Nelda was a member of the Junior Service League, American
Association of University Women, Shakespeare Club,
Elementary Principals Association, Delta Kappa Gamma Society
and the Texas Retired Teachers Association. She will always
be remembered for her love of music, piano, vacationing in
the Rocky Mountains of Colorado with family and friends, and
her love for teaching school.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Richard
J Jones. She is survived by son David Jones of Rosebud,
Texas, daughter Paula Jones of Rosebud, Texas, and son Jimmy
Jones of Dallas, Texas, seven grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren, a sister Imogene Tegge of Beeville and
brother Charles Henson of Cedar Springs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Operation
Christmas Child through the First Baptist Church of Rosebud,
P.O. Box 631, Rosebud, Texas 76570 or the charity of your
choice. |
