  The middle name for Lester appears in various forms in the historical documents.  Jett, Jet, and his death certificate has Jeff.

The ONLY document that has Jeff, is his death certificate.  All other documents and the death certificates of his children have the middle name as Jet, for the most part.  Some have Jett.

Obituary for Nettie Boyd White
Funeral services for Mrs. Lester (Nettie Boyd) White of the Briary community were held Sunday afternoon, February 27, at the Rosebud First Baptist church. Rev. Charlie White of Waco officiated, assisted by Rev. T. A. Binford of Rosebud. Burial was as Union Cemetery near Durango.

Mrs. White was born at Durango on July 31, 1888, and died at Rosebud Friday, February 25.

Survivors are her husband, Lester White of Briary; four sons, W. B. White of Bostonia, Calif, Harold White of San Diego, Calif, Sandy White of Clute, and Boyd Lee White of Brazoria; seven daughters, Mrs. C. B. Franklin of Austin, Mrs. Nellie Henson of Rosebud, Mrs. R. W. Culpepper of Hobbs, NM; Mrs. C. M. Coston of Texarkanna, Mrs. Cleo Hyde of Daingerfield, Mrs. Maywood Morris of Temple, Mrs. Fred Ragsdale of San Antonio, three brothers, Hardy Boyd of Lott, Jack Boyd of Chilton and Tilman Boyd of Arlington; three sisters, Mrs. John Douglas of Weep, Mrs. Hiley Boyd of Carlsbad, New Mexico; and Mrs. Bob Davis of Waco; 30 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

  The first name of Lesley does not appear in the historical documents until 1940.  The 1940 Census has her name as Leslie A.  The Texas Death Index and SSDI both have her name listed as Lesley A or Lesley Franklin.  Her grave marker has Aline White Franklin.

  About William B White's name--

There are many family trees on Ancestry.com that have William's middle name as Boyd.  There are also family trees that add Jr to the end of his name; William Boyd White, Jr.

For the middle name of Boyd, this might be a valid possibility.  His mother's maiden name was Boyd after all.  However, there are no historical documents that have the middle name of William as Boyd.  The only place that has Boyd as the middle name are in the family trees, where someone put Boyd and....... everyone has copied it.

As for the "Jr" tag on the end of his name.  It IS seen in three documents I have found.  In the 1930 Census, marriage license with Estelle Campbell, and on the birth certificate for his daughter Olive ( see below ).  I believe, and I could be wrong, that William was named after his paternal grandfather William B White.  The "Jr" was probably added on to his name to differentiate between the two men.

Della May White, 70, of San Diego, sister of Robert Young of Chula Vista and a Mississippi native who lived in the area 40 years, died Sunday in a hospital.

Mrs. White was an aircraft worker during World War II.

A son, Jack White of Lakeside; another brother; a sister, Dottie Woody of San Diego, and two grandchildren also survive.

Services were Wednesday in San Diego. Burial was in La Vista Memorial Park.

Services for Cleo Hyde, 86, of Ore City will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at Reeder-Davis Funeral 2 Home Chapel with Norman Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Ore City Cemetery. Mr.

Hyde died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at a Linden hospital. He was born July 18, 1915, in Conroe. He was a member of the Church of Christ and had retired from Lone Star Steel.

Mr. Hyde was preceded in death by one grandson, David Hyde.

He is survived by his wife, Julia Mae Hyde of Ore City; two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and JoAnne Hyde of Daingerfield and Authur and Eunnie Hyde of Avinger; one brother, Ocellus Hyde of Rosebud; five granddaughters and their husbands, Julie and Clint Combest, Kathy and Bobby Kirkpatrick, Elisa and Hank Baird, all of Hughes Springs, Mary and Clifton Crawford of Richland Hills and Christal and Todd Skinner of Avinger; one grandson, Kevin Hyde of Avinger; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Julia Mae Hyde, 88, of Hughes Springs will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at Reeder-Davis Chapel with Rev. Dale Carter officiating. Burial will be in Ore City Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc.

Mrs. Hyde will lie in state Monday at 10:00 A.M. and the family will receive friends at the funeral home after 6:00 P.M. Monday.

Mrs. Hyde was born November 16, 1918 in Milam County, Texas. She died Sunday, December 10, 2006 at a Hughes Springs nursing home. She was a member of Graceton Church of Christ.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and JoAnne Hyde of Daingerfield and Arthur and Eunnie Hyde of Avinger; one sister, Laura Jo Thompson of Temple, TX. She is also survived by six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Mrs. Hyde was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Jet White and Nettie Boyd White, and her husband, Cleo Hyde, and one grandson David Alan Hyde.

Hyde was born Nov. 7, 1966, in San Francisco, Calif, and died Monday at a Houston hospital. He was a member of Lamb's Fold Church in Mount Pleasant.

Survivors include wife, Elida Hyde; parents, Billy D. Hyde of Daingerfield and JoAnne Hyde of Daingerfield; sisters, Julie Wilson of Hughes Springs, Kathy Kirkpatrick of Hughes Springs and Mary Crawford of Avinger; paternal grandparents, Geo and Julia Hyde of Ore City; five nieces and four nephews.

Etoile W. Morris, 72, of Little River-Academy will be at First Baptist Church of Academy with the Rev. Karry Gross and the Rev. Wayne Wester officiating and Martie Morris giving the eulogy. Burial will be in Wilson Valley Cemetery. She died Monday, Sept. 6, 1993 in a Temple hospital.

Mrs. Morris was born in Milam County to Lester White & Nettie Boyd White. She was reared in the Rosebud area and moved to Little River 32 years ago. She taught school in Rosebud and worked for the accounting department at Wilson Art in Temple. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Academy and of the Order of the Eastern Star, and assisted with senior citizen activities at harvest House in Temple and at Bless Hall in Little River-Academy.

Survivors include two sons, Daryl Morris of Rogers & Jerry Don Morris of Whittier, Calif.; two brothers Boyd Lee White of Lorena & Harold White of Lake Havasu, AZ; two sisters, Julia Hyde of Archer City and Laura Jo Thompson of San Antonio, and six grandchildren.

Memorial services for Martha Mae Morris, 61, of Morgan's Point Resort will be held at Little River United Methodist Church at 12 Noon Saturday March 10, 2007 with Rev. Brent Boatwright officiating.

Mrs. Morris died Wednesday March 7, 2007 in a Temple hospital.

Mrs. Morris was born in Little River to Alton Honeycutt and Charlie Mae Cain Honeycutt. She graduated from Academy School and she married Jerry Morris August 16, 1966. She lived in California for thirty five years before moving back to Little River five years ago. She was a Medical Assistant for several Doctors in California. She worked as City Secretary for the City of Little River Academy. She formed the "For The Love Of Our Children" organization.

She was preceded in death by one son Charlie Morris Feb. 23, 2000.

Survivors include her husband Jerry Morris of Morgan's Point Resort, two daughters Suzanne Garcia of Little River-Academy and Tammy O'Flaherty of Little River-Academy; one sister Pat Reeves of Little River-Academy and four grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Academy Schools Athletic Department. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. Friday at Scanio Harper Funeral Home.

Services for Charles Alton Morris, 28, of Little River will be on Tuesday in Wilson Valley Cemetery in Little River with the Rev. Brad Wheeler and Martie Morris officiating.

Mr. Morris died Wednesday Feb. 23, 2000, at his home.

He was born in Whittier, Calif. to Jerry and Martie Honeycutt Morris. He was raised in Whittier and resided in Little River for two years. He graduated from La Habra high school in La Habra, Calif.

Survivors are his parents, Jerry Don & Martha Mae Honeycutt "Martie" Morris of Whittier, Calif.; and two sisters, Suzanne Nicole Garcia and Tamara Ann Morris, both of Whittier.

LA MARQUE-Arthur "Sandy" White, 58, died Thursday morning at his home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of James Crowder Funeral Home, the Rev. Danny O. Chappell officiating.  Graveside services will be conducted by Richard Kirsten VFW Post 8248 in Grace Memorial Park, Alta Loma.

Born July 16, 1922 in Milam County, Texas, Mr. White was an operating engineer for Pruitt Construction Co. He was a 12- year resident of La Marque-Texas City and a prior resident of Angleton. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Operating Engineers Local 450, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Richard Kirsten Post 8248 of La Marque, and the Angleton Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Helen M. White of La Marque; two daughters, Carolyn McBeth and Kathie Kingsbury, both of Angleton; two stepdaughters, Mary Helen Casteel of Texas City and Diane Tulous of Chicago, two stepsons, Don Gardner of California and Jimmy Gardner of Bacliff; six sisters, Pauline Henson of Rosebud, Texas, Etoile Morris of Temple, Texas, Aline Franklin and Helen Coston, both of Waco, Laura Jo Thompson of San Antonio and Julia Mae Hyde of Ore City, Texas; two brothers, Boyd Lee White of Lexington, Texas and Harold White of Lake Havasu City, six grandchildren; plus many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be members of Richard Kirsten VFW Post 8248. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Don McBeth, Jim Kingsbury, James Pantalion and Donald Gardner. Visitors may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m.

Funeral service for Mildred Chlistia White of Lorena will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, 2007, at Waco Memorial Funeral Home, with the Rev. Stan Wilson and the Rev. Danny Niedecken officiating. Burial will follow at Lorena Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 15, at the funeral home.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, friend, neighbor, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family loved her (Granny White, Aunt Bill and Aunt Millie) for her feisty spirit, her kind and giving heart and quick wit. She will be remembered for her selfless devotion to her family and eagerness to help whenever her loved ones needed her. She passed along her virtues of humility, hospitality, hard work, dedication to family and unwavering faith in God's love.

Mildred was born June 4, 1929, to William and Gladys (Yates) Brantley among 12 other siblings in Milam County. In 1947, she met and married Boyd Lee "Fuller" White and began life in her calling as a devoted wife and mother.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Boyd Lee "Fuller" White; sisters, Betty Phipps and Lucille McClaren; and brothers, Leroy Brantley, Carl Brantley, Johnny Brantley, Jeff Brantley, Ed Brantley, Bob Brantley and Gene Brantley.

She is survived by her children, Karen Osbourne, Jolene Hollas and husband, Harold and Craig White and wife, Nancy; grandchildren, Heidi, Jeremy, Tyson, Joey, Tim, Elliott and Ethan; six great-grandchildren, Ashley, Austin, Makenzee, Maccayla, Milady and Jake; brother, Jody Brantley; sister, Sharon Davis; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Karen Sue "Pud" (White) Osborne of Copperas Cove, 65, died Jan. 5, 2014.

Ms. Osborne was born Sept. 21, 1948 in Angleton, TX to Boyd L. and Mildred C. (Brantley) White.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Shawnna Osborne of Copperas Cove, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Heidi and Kerry Culp of Temple, TX; grandchildren, Connor Osborne of Copperas Cove, Ashley and Austin Talasek of Troy, and MacKenzee and MacCayla Gribble of Temple, TX; sister, Jolene Hollas of Lorena, TX; brother Lowell White of Seguin, TX; and many other family and friends.
Ms. Osborne was preceded in death by her parents Boyd L. and Mildred C. White.

Karen was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing and spending time with her. We love you!

Her burial will be at the Lorena Cemetery in Lorena, TX
