WWII Registration for Leo Jay Hart --- Leo's middle name is Jacob, not Jay.  Sometime around the 1940's his middle name became Jay.  Which....might just be a case of him giving the middle initial of "J" which is pronounced Jay.

Service Slated For Leo J; Hart --  Memorial service will be held Wednesday at the Christ Episcopal Church, Xenia, for Leo J. Hart. 82. who died Monday at Heather Greene II Nursing Home in Jamestown, Ohio, after a lengthy illness.

He was born Sept 8, 1893 in Kerns, W. Va., and lived most of his life in Columbus.

Survivors include his wife, Julia of Windsor Manor, son the Rev. James C. Hart, Xenia, daughters, Mrs. D B. Rockney, Westervifle, and Mrs. William G. Harte, Marysville, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one sister, Marguerite Gregory, Barbersville, W. Va. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus.

JACQUELINE L. "JACKIE" DAVIS, 80, of Charleston died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, in Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

She was a retired buyer for the Diamond Department Store, Charleston, and then managed Polan's Women's Store for eight years. She was a member of Christ Church United Methodist, Charleston. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., grew up in Huntington, W.Va., graduated from Huntington High, attended Marshall College and graduated from the University of Cincinnati. She was also a member of Tri-Sigma Sorority.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis J. LeSage and Kathleen Hart LeSage and a son, Gregory Alan Davis. She is survived by her husband, William O. "Bill" Davis Jr.; daughters, Suzanne H. "Suzi" Davis, Carole "CC" Davis Cline and her husband, Michael R. and Laura Davis Ellis, all of Charleston; son, William O. Davis III and his wife, Mary Johnson Davis of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Whitney Campbell Ellis Tharp and husband, Brian K. and Andrew "Drew" LeSage Ellis, all of Charleston.

Special thanks to Hospice, the staff of Hubbard Hospice House, Yvonna Graves and her family and family friends. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2004, at Christ Church United Methodist Chapel with Dr. Keith Clarke and the Rev. Reggie Rowell officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Charleston. Friends may call one hour before the service Tuesday at the church and from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2004, at Barlow-Bonsall Funeral Home, Charleston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kanawha Hospice Care, 1143 Dunbar Ave., Dunbar, WV 25064. Barlow-Bonsall Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
