BELINGTON -- Harvey Beryl Findley Sr., 90, a resident of Belington many years ago and for the past three years a resident of The Cuppett and Weaks Nursing Home, Oakland, Md., died at 2:35 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2000, at the nursing home. He had been in failing health for the past several years.

He was born Aug. 8, 1909, in Lumber, a son of the late Roy and Flora Coberly Findley.

On Oct. 22, 1938, he was united in marriage to the former Ann Homes, who preceded him in death on Oct. 16, 1970.

Surviving are one son, James Franklin Findley, Durbin; five grandchildren, Harvey Lake Findley, Mabie, James Edward Findley, Durbin, Cody and Collin Findley, both of Coalton, and Debra Findley, Elkins; and four great-grandchildren.

He was the last surviving member of his immediate family, having also been preceded in death by one son, Harvey Beryl Findley Jr. and two brothers, Walter and Francis Findley.

Mr. Findley was retired from the Western Maryland Railroad and was Protestant.

FINDLEY, ROY THOMAS, age 76, of Mt. Pleasant passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at McLaren Central Michigan.

A Memorial Luncheon for Roy will be held at the Weidman Eagles Hall #4540, 6275 W. Weidman Rd., Weidman, MI, on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 12 noon until 3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the hall.

Roy was born on September 1, 1938 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Walter and Frances (Dennis) Findley. He married Eva Earnerst on June 27, 1959. Roy was a true family man, everything in his life revolved around family. He loved to hunt, fish, camp, traveling to the UP, and was always joking.

Roy is survived by his wife, Eva; children, Cathy (Dannie) Loomis, Linda (Boyd) Lewis, Roy Thomas (Mickie) Findley, Wayne Lewis, and Dennis Cotter; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 6 siblings; and many nieces and nephews.

Roy was preceded in death by his daughters, Peggy Cotter and Janet Lewis; great-grandson, Benjamine Strand II; parents; and 2 siblings.

FINDLEY, EVA JOANN, age 78, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020, at her home, with her family by her side.

Cremation will take place. There are no services planned at this time.

Eva was born August 4, 1941, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Daniel and Margaret (Moore) Earnest. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School with the class of 1958. After graduation, Eva married Roy Thomas Findley on June 27, 1958. Roy preceded her in death on October 14, 2014. Eva worked for many years as an LPN at Laurels of Mt. Pleasant. She enjoyed reading, fishing, and hunting.

Eva is survived by her children Cathy (Dannie) Loomis of Weidman, Linda (Boyd) Lewis of Mt. Pleasant, Roy Thomas (Mickie) Findley, III of Weidman; grandchildren Liam (Ale) Santofimio, Heather (Shaun) Schafer, Daniel Loomis, Tisha (Mike) Peterson, Stacy (Ricky) Cashen, Dana (Kaid) Davy, Brian Webb, Melissa (Drew) Zimmerman, Felicia (Ben) Strand, and Kaytlynn Brad; 12 great-grandchildren; sister Peggy Wixom of Lake; son-in-laws Dennis Cotter of Rosebush and Sonny Lewis of Mt. Pleasant.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents; husband Roy; daughters Peggy Cotter and Janet Lewis; sisters Bonnie Blackmer and Sue Langlois; and great grandson Benjamin Strand II.
