Helen Grey Hinchman Workman, age 82 years, a native of Randolph County, passed away Friday evening, October 15, 2010 in the Hospice Care Regional Inpatient Center.

She was born January 9, 1928 in Elkins, a daughter of the late Cecil S. and Ruby Wolfe Hinchman. She was formerly married to the late Miles E. Workman.

Surviving are one son, Myles E. Workman, Lincolnton, NC, four daughters, Joyce A. Workman, Elkins, Deborah H. Schuchart, McSherrystown, PA, Pamela A. Daniels, Elkins and Kathryn J. Workman, Lake Clarke Shore, FL. Sixteen grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive.

Also preceding her in death was one son, Miles E. Workman, two daughters, Jennifer E. Hedrick and Beverly D. Rowan, four brothers, William, Cecil, Ernest and Bud Hinchman and one sister, Wynonna Hinchman.

Helen attended the schools of Randolph County and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was loved by all who know her and she will be greatly missed.

Friends may call from 10:00 AM until 10:50 AM Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the Tomblyn Funeral home in Elkins. Helen will then be moved to the Elkins Memorial Gardens on the Airport Road where a graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM. Rev. Dr. Basil A. Hensley will officiate and interment will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Corporation, P.O. Box 760, Arthurdale, WV 26520. Joyce Ann Workman age 75 of Riverton, Wyoming passed away peacefully on December 31, 2021 at Help for Health Hospice Care.

Joyce was born in Elkins, West Virginia on May 10, 1946 and was the eldest daughter of the late Miles Workman and Helen (Hinchman) Workman.

Joyce served in the Army after high school and then went on to work for the Social Security Administration for 35 years until her retirement in the year 2000.

Joyce was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Over the years she held many callings within the church. She truly loved going to church and serving her Lord and Savior.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Kelly Creek and husband, Scott Creek of Worland, Wyoming; her son, Forrest Dale White and wife Christina of New Castle, Virginia; and son Chris Jensen of Virginia; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Pamela Balten and Kathryn Workman.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Miles Workman and Myles Workman; and sisters, Deborah Schchart, Jennifer Hederick, and Beverly Rowan.

Per Joy�s wishes, she has requested no funeral services.

Deborah H. (Workman) Schuchart, age 72, of McSherrystown, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Pappus House in York. She was the loving wife of the late David A. Schuchart, who passed away on April 5, 2020.

Deborah was born in Elkins WV on December 11, 1948 and was the daughter of the late Miles Workman and Helen (Hinchman) Workman. She worked as a cabinetmaker for Masterbrand Cabinets Inc. in Littlestown for many years prior to retiring.

She is survived by her daughter Kimberley Schuchart of New Oxford and her son S. David Schuchart and his wife Maria Rogalla of Philadelphia; her grandchildren Britnee, Madison, Mykala, Sasha and Freya and her great granddaughter Payton. She is also survived by her sisters Joyce Workman, Pamela Battan and Kathryn Workman.

She was predeceased by her daughter Tonya Thornton, her brothers Miles Workman and Myles Workman and her sisters Jennifer Hederick and Beverly Rowan.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Kimberley Schuchart of New Oxford and S. David Schuchart and wife Maria Rogalla of Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Britnee Reese and her husband Tyler, Madison Thornton, Sasha Schuchart and Mykala Thornton; a great-granddaughter, Payton Reese;

Tonya Elaine (Schuchart) Thornton, 34, of Leland, N.C., entered into God's eternal care Monday, March 28, 2005, at her home after a strong battle with brain cancer.

She was the loving wife and mother to Michael E. Thornton Jr. and Madison of Leland, N.C.

Born Sept. 1, 1970, she was the daughter of David A. and Deborah H. Schuchart of McSherrystown.

She is survived by her siblings, Kimberly Voycheske of New Oxford and S. Dave of State College; and a niece, Britnee Voycheske.

Tonya was a 1988 graduate of New Oxford High School and a 2000 graduate of Cape Fear Community College in North Carolina, where she earned a bachelor's degree in psychology. She was employed by CZR of Wilmington.

A memorial service will be held at the Meeting House of The Brethren Home, Carlisle Pike, New Oxford, on Sunday, April 10, at 1:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at the meeting house from 12:45 to 1:30 p.m. before the service Sunday. MILES ELLIS "JUNIE" WORKMAN, age 57 years, a native of Randolph County, WV and more recently a resident of Roanoke, VA departed this life Sunday evening, December 28, 2008 at the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

He was born Saturday, August 25, 1951 at Elkins, WV a son of the late Miles Ellis Smiley Workman and Helen G. (Hinchman) Workman, who survives at the Elkins Regional Convalescent Center. He was the grandson of the late Cecil S. and Ruby (Wolfe) Hinchman and Miles E. and Minnie A. (Ailstock) Workman.

On September 22, 1979, he married the former Debra Elaine Bowles, who survives at their home at Vinton, VA along with his faithful companion, Gabby. Also surviving are two brothers, Myles E. Workman, Lincolnton, NC and Miles E. Workman, Fairfax, VA, five sisters, Joyce A. Workman, Elkins, Deborah H. Schuchart, McSherrystown, PA, Pamela K. Daniels, Norton, Kathryn J. Workman, Lake Clarke Shore, FL, and Julie A. Workman, Morgantown, his step-mother, Brenda (Cadle) Blankenship, Sullivans Crossing, and thirty-seven nieces and nephews that dearly loved him and that he dearly loved.

Preceding him in death besides his father were two sisters, Beverly D. Rowan and Jennifer D. Hedrick.

Junie was a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 1969, had served in the U.S. Navy, and had retired after twenty years of service from Hooker Furniture, Inc. where he had worked as a Boiler Technician. He had traveled across the United States and had visited many different countries, but loved his WV Mountains and was proud to be known as a WV Mountaineer. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, family, and friends. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was baptized in 1962. Loved by all who knew him, Junie will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 6 until 8 PM, Friday. Final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel on Saturday, January 3, 2008 at 11 AM. Serving as Pallbearers will be Steven Cayner, J.R. Miller, Jake Workman, Forrest Dale White, Scott Creek, and Tom Corbin. Bishop Lynn Muhlestein and Bishop David Huffman will officiate and interment will follow at the American Legions Little Arlington Cemetery, where the H. W. Daniels Post # 29, American Legion and the Tygarts Valley Post # 3647, Veterans of Foreign Wars will conduct full military rites.

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions on behalf of the Workman family's long fight against cancer to the American Cancer Society, c/o Jennifer Bennett, 47 Turkey Run Road, Buckhannon, WV 26201. Myles Edgar �Pork� Workman, Sr., age 65, of 1775 Amy Drive in Lincolnton died on Thursday, September 20, 2018.

His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Cornerstone Independent Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Rudisill officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Workman was born June 16, 1953, in Randolph County, West Virginia, to the late Miles Ellis Workman, Sr. and Helen Hinchman Workman. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Samantha Workman; one brother; and two sisters. He served in the United States Army and then later worked in textiles.

He is survived by his wife, Shelia Wilfong Workman of the home; three children, Myles E. Workman, Jr., Stephanie Vintin, and Thomas Workman; four sisters, nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Samantha May Workman, 30, of 421 Saluda Dam Road, died Friday June 12, 2009 at McCall Hospice House.

Miss Workman was born in Elkins, West Virginia, the daughter of Judy Herron Chiles Mulhern of Greenville and Myles Edgar Workman, Sr., of Lincolnton, NC. She was a manager with Tar Hill Enterprises (Wendy's) and was a member of Mill Creek Memorial Mission Church in West Virginia.

Surviving in addition to her mother is a brother, Eddie Myles Workman, Jr. and his wife, Dawn, of Powdersville ; a step-brother, Christopher Mulhern, Jr. of Greenville; her grandfather, James Herron of Greenville ; step-fathers, Christopher Mulhern and Dale Chiles, both of Greenville; her step-mother, Sheila Workman, a half brother, Thomas Workman and a half sister, Stephanie Workman all of Lincolnton, NC ; a grandmother, Helen Workman, of Elkins, West Virginia ; neices and nephews, Michael, Jeremy, Alexus, Myles, III and Mary ; and several aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by grandmother, Mary Herron and grandfather, Myles Workman; great-grandparents, Hazel May Tackett, Charlie Tackett, Stark and Mattie Herron, and a special friends, Ralph Smith and Matt Orr.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Wednesday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, Easley. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.

Jennifer Elaine Workman Hedrick, 45, of Lincolnton, N.C., died Wednesday, May 12, 2004. Death was attributed to cancer.

She was born and raised in Elkins and graduated from Elkins High School in 1977.

Survivors include her husband, Stanley Hedrick, and her daughter, Karen Ashe, both of North Carolina; her mother, Helen Workman of Elkins; four sisters, Joyce Workman of Elkins, Deborah Schuchart of McSherrytown, Pa., Pamela Daniels of Elkins and Kathryn Workman of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Miles Workman of Roanoke, Va., and Myles Workman of Lincolnton, N.C.; and one half brother, Miles Workman of Elkins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Miles Workman; and one sister, Beverly Workman.
Jennifer will be cremated. From 18 and 19 May 2004.

Brenda Kay Carr, age 65 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away Sunday morning, December 13, 2015 in Davis Medical Center.

She was born May 3, 1950 at Elkins, a daughter of the late William J. Hinchman and Mary Wiseman Scott who survives.

On December 20, 1965 at Elkins, she was married to Jack Carr who preceded her in death January 10, 2015. They had been happily and blessed for forty nine years of marriage.

She is survived by one son, Jack Kevin Carr and wife Anita of Norton, one daughter, Jacqueline Williams and husband Kevin of Morgantown. Four brothers, Dale Hinchman and wife Lynette of Norton, Lawrence Hinchman and wife Kim of Elkins, Greg Hinchman and wife Marie of Elkins and Jack Hinchman of Harrisonburg, VA and two sisters, Susan White of Elkins and Marion Dennis of Charleston, WV. Seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and her beloved dog Baby also survive.

Also preceding her in death were two brothers-in-law, Stephen White and Willie Dennis.

Brenda graduated with an Associate and Bachelor Degrees in Psychology from Davis and Elkins College and a Masters degree in Agency Counseling from Marshall Graduate School. She was retired from the West Virginia Children's Home where she had worked as a counselor and was a member of the local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

The family would like to thank Marie Larick who was her caretaker for the past few months and to Kim Rugemer and Shelba Lowe for their care. Brenda's request for cremation was honored. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm Sunday, December 20, 2015 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday from the funeral home chapel with Brother Bill Cain officiating. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Brenda Kay Carr. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.tomblynfuneralhome.com.

Tina Hinchman, age 47 and a resident of Pass Christian, died Thursday, July 8, 2004, in Pass Christian.

Ms. Hinchman, a native of Biloxi, was retired from the U. S. Army and was a resident of the Coast since 1990. She was a graduate of MS Gulf Coast Community College, and received her bachelor's degree from the University of South Alabama.

Ms. Hinchman was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Hinchman. Survivors include a son, Will Jerde, of Pass Christian; two daughters, Elizabeth Jerde, of El Paso, Texas; and Angel Acosta, of Ocean Springs; her mother and stepfather, Peggy and Fred Frederick, of Biloxi; a brother, Ernest Hinchman, of Woolmarket; three sisters, Dianna Harrell, of Greenville; Donna Adams, and Angela Morgan, both of Biloxi; three grandchildren, Tatyana Jerde, Gabby Acosta, and Alexis Acosta; and eight nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2004, in the National Cemetery in Biloxi.

Riemann Funeral Home, 25th Avenue in Gulfport, was in charge of arrangements.

The only thing that makes sense, after reading all of the obituaries, is that F D Frederick, Ruby's step-father, is the father of her daughter Angel Marie Frederick. In F D Frederick's obituary, he is the father of Angel. In the obituaries of Ruby (aka Tina), Angel is her daughter. In the obituaries of Dianna and Ernest Dean Jr, Angel is their sister. ----- To add to the confusion, F D Frederick also had a daughter Angela L Moran born in 1964 from mother Fern Moran. This other Angela married Franklin Delano Morgan, Jr. This other Angela is also mentioned in this family's obituaries.

Dianna May Harrell, aged 61, of Jackson, Mississippi passed Wednesday, August 4, 2021.

She was born on February 1, 1960 in Hanover, Pennsylvania to her parents, Ernest and Peggy Hinchman.

Dianna was a former resident of Biloxi. She graduated from Biloxi High School, Class of 1978. She worked as a Manager in the Food Service Industry. She retired from Rankin County School System.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ernest Hinchman, Sr.; her brother, Ernest Dale Hinchman, Jr.; her sister, Ruby Ernestine Hinchman; her husbands, James Harrell and first husband, Roland Lyons; her father, F.D Frederick; and her grandchild, Trayshawn Perry.

Dianna is survived by her daughters, Tamara (Antonio) Jacob and Rose Fair; her son, Shawn (Nita) Lyons; her mother, Peggy Johnson Frederick; and her sisters, Donna (Tim) Sullivan and Angel (Waldemar) Cordero; thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A 11:00 AM graveside service will be held at D�Iberville Memorial Park Cemetery on Monday 16,2021. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue in Biloxi, is honored to serve the Harrell family.

Mr. Ernest Dale Hinchman, Jr., 47, of Biloxi, MS, died Saturday, March 13, 2010, in Biloxi.

Mr. Hinchman was born in Elkins, West Virginia and had been a lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast. He was a diesel mechanic.

Mr. Hinchman was preceded in death by his father, F. D. Frederick, and sister, Ruby E. Hinchman.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Hinchman; daughter, Rachel Clark; step-daughter, Amber Battise; step-son, Jerry Battise, III; mother, Peggy Frederick; four sisters, Dianna (James) Harrell, Donna (Tim) Sullivan, Angel (Waldy) Acosta, and Angie (Frank) Morgan; and one grandchild.

Memorial services are Thursday, March 18, 2010, at 12 noon at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue, in Biloxi where friends may visit one hour before service time.
