Obituary for

Accessed December 30, 2022 |
 |
Dedicated family man, fervent sports fan, devout
Christian, Chris Gould was called home by his
Heavenly Father on April 8, 2015 at the young age of
34 years.
He was born October 16, 1980. Graduated from Niles
McKinley High School in 1999 and Youngstown State
University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in
Political Science. Then he stepped up to the biggest
responsibility of his life when he married Kelli
Nicole (Barker) Gould on November 16, 2012,
|
making a home for them in
Vienna, Ohio while working diligently at RTI Metals melt
shop in Niles.
Early on, he and his brother Anthony cultivated a vibrant
entrepreneurial spirit that would shape his character and
drive various pursuits - from his proficiency in precious
metals and gems, to his fascination with historic coins,
World War II firearms and artifacts.
Whatever interested him soon became a fiery passion. Whether
it was quarterbacking the Niles McKinley Red Dragons, which
helped cultivate a supreme devotion to our National
Champions, The Ohio State University Buckeyes. Chris truly
bled Scarlett and Gray. Occasionally, exhorting the defeat
of his father-in-law's cherished Yankees at the hands of
Chris' hometown Indians, to transforming a diamond acquired
in his youth into a beloved keepsake for his wife, to mark
the birth of their daughter. He was of the Catholic faith
and a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Niles.
That was Chris. Fierce yet gentle. Urgent yet patient.
Earnest yet wry. An inspiration.
He leaves his loving wife, his precious daughter, Teagan
Lynlee Gould, his devoted parents James A. and Deborah L.
(Moran) Gould of Niles as well as his loyal brother Anthony
J. Gould of Niles and his Best Man, lifelong friend, and
brother-of-choice, Michael Billock of Austintown. He is
survived by his in-laws Fawnda (Bailey) and Ronald Barker of
Niles, brother-in-law Kyle M. Barker and nephew, Preston
Barker; grandmothers Carmella (Lucarelli) Gould and Margie
(Moran) Moy both of Warren. Chris also leaves cherished
aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will carry his memory
forever.
Preceding him in death were his grandfathers, James D.
Gould, Forest L. Moran and Calvin Moy.
Calling hours will be Sunday, April 12, 2015 from 5 to 8
p.m. at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home, Niles. A Byzantine
Wake Service will take place at 5 p.m. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be Monday, April 13, 2015 at 11:00 am at St.
Anne Ukrainian Byzantine Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road,
Austintown, Ohio 44515. Rev. Lubomyr Zhybak will officiate.
Everyone please meet at church for the Mass. |

About Willmer's first name
His first name is Willmer, with two "L's". Look
closely at the delayed birth certificate, marriage license,
and WWII Registration. All three documents were
completed in front of Willmer and signed by him with two
"L's".
Looks like his children went through the stage of..... "that
can't be right.....let's spell it with just one L" gnoring the history of how he spelled his own name.
Thus, the newer grave marker, that was probably purchased
when Zelda passed away. |

Obituary for
Wilmer “Tim” Gordon George

Accessed January 11, 2023 |

Wilmer “Tim” Gordon George went
home early Friday, December 20, 2019 in the Elkins
Rehabilitation and Care Center at Elkins, WV.
He was born on
November 15, 1939 at Mabie, WV, a son of the late William
“Bill” and Zelda Zirkle George. On June 21, 1958 he was
united in marriage to the former Mary Frances Harris, who
preceded him in death on September 26, 2010.
Tim recently celebrated his 80th birthday with friends and
family at his side. A product of a bygone generation, Tim
was a kind and loving jack-of-all-trades who could put a
mean coat of paint on anything with four wheels. He did
everything with a smile. |
Tim is survived by one daughter, Beverly R. White, of
Belington; grandson, Brian D. George, of Takoma Park, MD;
five additional grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren,
one brother; Richard Lee George and wife Mary of Norton, WV.
Tim is preceded in death by his wife, Mary F. George (nee
Harris), and his son, Wilmer “Timmy” Gordon George, Jr. and
two sisters.
Raised in Randolph County, Tim spent the better part of 60
years on Locust Avenue in Belington, where he raised his
family and could always be found (after work) on the front
porch swing. During the days, Tim worked as an auto body
repair man at various body shops and garages in Elkins from
the late 1950’s through the early 2000’s. During the
evenings, Tim could be found in his home garage working on
cars. On the weekends, Tim could be found in the garden,
cutting firewood, fishing, hunting, or snoozing in his
favorite recliner. On Sundays, Tim would be at church; he
was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church in
Junior, WV. Known by his grandchildren as “Papaw,” he will
be missed. Today, Papaw is back on the front porch, in his
favorite swing, with Grandma and Timmy by his side.
Tim’s request for Cremation will be honored. The family will
receive Friends at the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N Brandenburg
Street in Belington on Saturday December 28, 2019 from 3
-4pm. At which time a memorial service will be conducted
from the funeral home chapel. Interment of his cremains will
be at a later date. Condolences can be made to the family at
www.talbottfuneralhome.com. The Talbott Funeral Home of
Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Wilmer “Tim”
Gordon George. |
