Elizabeth Patricia “Pat”
Taylor Malcolm, formerly of Greer, SC, passed away on
August 2, 2018 after a lengthy illness.
She is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 58
years, David Clinton Malcolm, and her two devoted
daughters, Elizabeth Malcolm Ours (Alan) of Brunswick,
Georgia and Rebecca Malcolm Sherrick (Burlin) of Lima,
Ohio. She was the loving grandmother of fifteen: Tiffany
Ours, Ashlyn Ours, Taylor Ours, Joshua Ours (Kristi),
Joseph Ours (Abby), Christopher Ours (Angel), Hannah
Ours, Luke Ours, Matthew Ours, and Bethany Ours; and
Amber Sherrick, Anna Sherrick Bridgers (Matthew),
Abigail Sherrick, Benjamin Sherrick, and Audrey Sherrick.
In addition, she was the great grandmother of five great
granddaughters: Sarah Ours, Savannah Ours, and Madelynn
Ours; in addition to, Lexi Bridgers and Addison Bridgers.
|
She is also survived by a sister,
Helena Jean Strother (Bill), of New Martinsville, West Virginia,
and a brother, Kenneth Glenn Taylor (Mary), of St. Mary’s, West
Virginia, and proceeded in death by her parents, Robert Glenn
Taylor and Eva Irene Newlon Taylor of West Virginia, and by twin
brothers, Harley Edward and Harold Edmond Taylor, also of West
Virginia.
Pat’s life was characterized by a passion for studying and
teaching God’s Word and ministering to women in their roles of
wives and mothers. She faithfully attended Community Baptist
Church of Greer, until prevented by illness, where she taught a
ladies’ Bible study class. She will most be remembered for her
love of Jesus and His Word, for the hours she spent in prayer,
and for her sacrificial love of her family, friends, and anyone
in need.
A time of visitation with family and friends will be held on
Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.,
followed by a Celebration of Pat’s life starting at noon at
Community Baptist Church on 643 South Suber Road in Greer, SC.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to one
of the following hospices that helped lovingly care for Pat in
her final days: Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund, 664 Scranton
Road #103, Brunswick, GA 31520, or Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W.
Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680. |

Elenore Taylor Creak, 79, of Bridgeport, went to her Heavenly
reward that she has lived her whole life for on Monday, May 31,
2010.
She was born on Stout’s Run on August 1, 1930, a daughter of the
late Harley R. and Lillie Maze Taylor.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Maurice, whom
she married September 20, 1952. Also surviving are 5 children,
Pam Sigley and her husband Loyd, Bridgeport; Katrina Wilfong and
her husband Gary, Bridgeport; Terry Creak and his wife
Esperanza, Clarksburg; Scott Creak and his wife Glenna Clutter,
Buckhannon; and Shawndell Johnson and her husband Rob,
Bridgeport; 8 grandchildren, Reta Mays and her husband Gordon,
Reynoldsville; Sgt Luke Sigley and his wife Amy, Lawton, OK; Sgt
Gerald Wilfong and his wife Loreen, Junction City, KS;
Christopher Wilfong, Bridgeport; Terra Creak, Clarksburg; Jerren
Creak, Clarksburg; Nathanial Allen, Bridgeport; and Harley
Johnson, Bridgeport; 9 great-grandchildren; and a brother Don
Taylor, Stage Coach, NV; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her
brother, Harley R. Taylor, Jr. She was a 50 year member of the
South Hills CEOS, where she was a County Bell and also served in
several offices. She was a member of Monroe Chapel United
Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and sang in the
choir. She also volunteered at local food pantries, and enjoyed
her family, children, grandchildren, cooking, camping and
laughing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great
grandmother and friend to all. You will be missed by all who
knew you and remembered always.
At the request of Elenore, in lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions can be made to Monroe Chapel Building Fund, Rt. 2,
Box 159-A, Lost Creek, WV 26385 Friends will be received at
Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on
Sunday from 2 – 8 pm, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m.
on Monday, June 7, 2010, with Reverend George Bramble and
Reverend Bob King presiding. Interment will follow in WV
National Cemetery. Burnside Funeral Home, Bridgeport

Christopher Gene Wilfong, 35, of Bridgeport, went to his
Heavenly reward on Monday afternoon, June 8, 2015, at his
residence. He was born in Clarksburg, son of Gary Wilfong and
Katrina Creak Wilfong, who survive in Bridgeport.
Also surviving is his girlfriend of the last five years, Chelsie
Watson.
He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Geneva Wilfong,
one brother, Sgt. Gerald Edward Wilfong and his wife Loreen of
Fort Lee, VA; three nieces, Alyssa, Michelle and Trinity
Wilfong; one nephew Ryan Wilfong and one on the way; and also
his aunts and uncles and a host of cousins. He also leaves
behind many close friends especially Ryan Dieringer, Frank
Annese and Chris Eneix.
Chris was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents,
Elenore and Maurice Creak and his paternal grandfather, Raymond
Gerald Wilfong.
He was a 1998 graduate of Bridgeport High School and received
his Associates Degree in Aviation Maintenance from Fairmont
State University. He was employed by Pratt and Whitney for ten
years as an airplane mechanic. He was an avid outdoorsman and
loved racing four wheelers and riding his RZR side by side. He
enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family
and friends. He will be remembered as a man who was always
willing to help other people and had a smile on his face.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Chris’s
memory to the Monroe Chapel United Methodist Church CGW Fund,
