Ford C. Taylor, 88, of Rostraver Township, died Sunday, May 29,
2005, in Frick Community Hospital, Mt. Pleasant.
Born in Perryopolis, Jan. 31, 1917, he was a son of the late
Oafa [sic] and Pearl McWilliams
Taylor.
Ford was a retired steel roller from the Clairton Works of USX.
He was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church in Rostraver
Township and had also served as a trustee of the church. He was
a member of the Rostraver AARP and worked with the Rostraver
Food Bank. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and
the Korean conflict.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald L. and
Joye Taylor, and Roy P. and Alma Taylor, all of Rostraver
Township; five grandchildren, Mark, Ronald and Lee Taylor,
Timothy Taylor, and Laurie Pokol; three step grandchildren, Deana
Sobek, Cynthia Granato and Jodi Evans; 22 great-grandchildren; a
great-great-grandson; and a brother, Robert Taylor, of Star
Junction.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his
wife, Sarah E. Porter Taylor, Dec. 27, 1997; and a sister, Betty
Warman. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in
the JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC., 580 Circle Drive, Sweeney
Plan/Rostraver Township, 724-929-7934, where a funeral service
will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Norman Melser
officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in
West Newton Cemetery. |

Betty L. Warman, 82, of Perryopolis, died Monday, Sept. 22,
2003, at 7:52 a.m. in Uniontown Hospital.
She was born March 9, 1921, in Perryopolis, daughter of the late
Ofa Q. and Pearl C. McWilliams Taylor.
Betty was a member of the Perryopolis United Methodist Church
and the Asbury United Methodist Church of Uniontown. A graduate
of Perryopolis High School and a graduate of Uniontown Hospital
School of Nursing.
She is survived by a daughter and two sons, Beth Warman Hess of
Perryopolis, John Robert Warman Jr. and wife Lorna of Uniontown
and James T. Warman and wife Kathleen of Scottdale; six
grandchildren, Erin Marie Graham and husband Jim, Taryn Brooke
Hess, Ashley Bryn Hess, Brett Warman, Lee Warman and Sean
Michael Warman; and two brothers, Ford Taylor of Belle Vernon
and Robert Taylor and wife Garnet of Star Junction.
Viewing and services are all private. Arrangements under the
direction of the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME INC., 106 E.
Independence St., Perryopolis. Memorial contributions may be

James T. Warman, 73, of Scottdale, passed away Sunday, July 2,
2017, at Mountainview Specialty Care Center, Unity Township.
Jim was born Feb. 18, 1944, in Uniontown, a son of the late John R. and
Betty L. (Taylor) Warman. He married the former Kathleen J.
Coffman on Aug. 12, 1971. Jim was a devoted husband, father, and
brother. He was employed as a boilermaker at USX, Clairton
Works, for over 30 years, retiring in May 2001. He graduated
from Uniontown High School, Class of 1962, and attended the
University of Virginia and West Virginia University.
Jim served as a master sergeant in the Air Force in Homestead,
Fla., from 1965-1969 during the Vietnam War. He was a faithful
member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Scottdale, a life
member of the Scottdale BPO Elks Lodge 777, and a member of the
Polish American Club (PAK) in Everson. Jim enjoyed fishing,
gardening, and going each summer to Ocean City, Md., with his
family. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan!
Jim will be sadly missed by his loving family, his wife of 45
years, Kathleen J. (Coffman) Warman; his son, Sean Michael
Warman, and his girlfriend, Lynn Legge, of Scottdale; his
brother, John R. Warman Jr., and his wife, Lorna, of Uniontown;
his sister, Beth Hess, of Perryopolis; his sisters-in-law, Eva
Reed, of Mt. Pleasant, Phyllis Coffman, of Scottdale, and Janice
Albright, and her husband, William, of Ruffsdale; and numerous
nieces and nephews.
Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision
of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St.,
Scottdale. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6
to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral
home chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Thursday,
with the Rev. Harry Speakman officiating. Graveside committal
service and interment will be in Keslar Cemetery. The Scottdale
BPO Elks Lodge 777 will conduct a memorial service at 7:45 p.m.
Wednesday.
The family wishes to extend their appreciation to caregivers at
Westmoreland Hospital ICU, doctors, the Mountainview Specialty
Care Center, and Interim Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be made to: Trinity United Methodist Church, 600 Hickory
St., Scottdale, PA 15683 or the Elks National Veterans Service
Commission, P.O. Box 373, Scottdale, PA 15683. Love Lasts
