Covington, LA -- James B. Kelly passed away on April
2, 2013 at the age of 85.
Beloved husband of 51 years to Linda Horn Kelly.
Loving father of Don Kelly and wife Donna and
Melissa Kelly Lusco and husband Sal. Proud
grandfather of Brooke and James Kelly and Madison
and Mason Lusco. Son of the late Lucille Dumas Kelly
and Rev. Henry D. Kelly. Brother of Ann Quick, Bobby
Kelly and the late Edna "Sissy" Arnold, Grace Wooten
and Jimmy Don Kelly. |
Mr. Kelly was a native of Walnut
Grove, MS and a resident of Covington, LA. He served in WW
II in the U.S. Army and was a graduate of the University of
Southern Mississippi. He retired from M.W. Kellogg. During
his career as an accountant and office manager he worked in
several states, Canada and Trinidad.
Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. |

Jimmy
Don Kelly, Sr. passed away on Sunday, December 9,
2012. He was 75 years old.
Jim was born in Walnut Grove, MS on December 7,
1937, and has been a resident of Metairie for the
past 36 years. Beloved husband of 45 years to
Marjorie Faye Neal Kelly. Father of J. Don Kelly,
Jr. of New Orleans and Melanie Faye Kelly Capitano (Boh)
of Kenner. Beloved Paw Paw of Cole Capitano, Clay
Capitano, Olivia Kelly, Madeleine Kelly and J.D.
Kelly III. Special Grandfather to Patrick Shine and
Matthew Shine of Metairie. Brother of James B. Kelly
(Linda) of Covington, Bobby R. Kelly of Bolton, MS
and Ann Quick (Jerry) of Pearl, MS. Preceded in
death by two sisters, Grace Wooten of Carthage, MS
and Edna Arnold of Jackson, MS. He also survived by
numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends. |
He was educated at Walnut Grove
High School, East Central Junior College, University of
Southern Mississippi and Jackson School of Law, where he
received his Juris Doctor. Jim was a tireless employee of
State Farm Insurance Company for over 33 years. He was a
member of Parkview Baptist Church.
Jim was a lover of all things New Orleans, from Mardi Gras
to the Saints, LSU and his alma mater Southern Mississippi.
He had a passion for life and lived every minute to the
fullest. Jim loved his grandchildren who brought sunshine
and joy to his life. He was a spiritual man who was ready to
meet his Lord. Interment in the Garden of

D.B. (Big Boy) Weaver, 80, died
Wednesday, September 26, 2007, at Scott Regional Hospital in
Morton. Burial in Cash Cemetery.
Mr. Weaver was a member of Cash Baptist Church. He was a
veteran of the U.S. Navy. He loved to farm, especially
training horses and he enjoyed gardening, he loved see what
all he could grow.
Mr. Weaver retired from BIC as a warehouse supervisor after
34 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Flora Nell Weaver of Morton;
daughters, Arrie Ward of Morton and Debbie Dunkin of
Pelahatchie; son, Jerry Weaver and wife, Trish; four
brothers, Buddy Weaver and wife, Claudia, Robert James
Weaver and wife, Rachel, George Weaver and wife, Peggy, and
Cavanaugh Weaver; 6 grandchildren, Wesley Weaver, Julie
Kimbrough and Jeremy, Chase Weaver, Shane Forrest, Jason
Ward, and Stephanie Fields and Cullen; and 13 great
grandchildren. |

Mr.
Clarence “Buddy” Weaver, age 86, a resident of Lena,
MS passed away on Friday May 29, 2015 at his home.
Burial in the Cash Baptist Cemetery.
Mr. Weaver was a lifelong resident of the Cash
Community in Scott County, MS. He was a member and
active deacon of the Cash Baptist Church in Lena, MS
until his health prevented him from attending
church. He was a graduate of Lena High School. He
loved gardening and working around the farm. He
retired from the Carthage Corporation in 1990 after
34 years of service.
Mr. Weaver was preceded in death by his parents,
Clinton and Maude Weaver; |
four brothers, Dale,
George, Robert and K.P. Weaver.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Claudia Babb Weaver
of Lena, MS; one son, Danny Weaver and wife Betty of Lena,
MS; two grandchildren, Dawn McKee and husband Kevin, Joey
Weaver; six great grandchildren, Bailey McKee, Drew McKee,
Clay McKee, Addie Grace Weaver, Dannon Weaver and Kristopher
Alford; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers were Frank Lewis, Randy Pope, Edwin Pope, Larry
Moore, Joey Weaver, Kevin McKee and Tommy Gunn. |

Allison Chesnut; parents, Clinton and Maude Pope Weaver; and
his brothers: Dale, George, and Robert.
He is survived by his daughter, Carman Weaver, and grandson,

Wyvonne Bailey, 86, a resident
of Pearl passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Crossgates

Mrs. Bailey had lived in Pearl, MS since 1987, moving from
Jackson, MS and she was a member of Park Place Baptist
Church in Pearl, MS. She had served as a volunteer at the
Baptist Hospital for over twelve years.

Mr. Gordon L. Pope, 77, a
resident of Forest, MS passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013
at his residence. Burial at Cash Baptist Cemetery.
Mr. Pope had been a lifelong resident of Cash, MS and he was

Baptist Church and loved his dogs and fox hunting.

CARTHAGE-- Alderine Weaver Moore
died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005, at Choctaw Residential Center.
She was 76.
A native of Scott County, Mrs. Moore was a resident of
Carthage. She was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elton and Bessie
Weaver; her stepmother, Annie Mae Weaver; one brother, L.C.
Weaver; and one sister, Paulette Smith.
Survivors include two daughters, Marie Brantley of Carthage
and Ruby Boggan of Vicksburg; three brothers, Curtis Lee
Weaver of Lena, Jimmy Dale Weaver of Kosciusko and Kenneth
Wayne Weaver of Forest; two sisters, Lou Pace and Jeannie
Craig, both of Forest; and four grandchildren, four
great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Wilcox Funeral Home in
Carthage with the Revs. Frank Smith and David Addy
officiating. Burial will follow at Cash Cemetery near Lena.
Pallbearers were Ken Weaver, Josh Slay, Jerry Keever, Brad
Johnson and David Clark. |

CROSS, SC -- William Houston
Weaver, 88, of Cross, SC, U.S. Navy veteran of World War II,
Korea and Vietnam, husband of Carol White Weaver, died
Saturday, September 10, 2016, in VA Medical Center.
William was born May 20, 1928, in Lena, Mississippi, the son
of Leonard Sylvester Weaver and Carrie Lee Moore Weaver. He
was a retired U.S. Navy Veteran, having served in World War
II, Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of the Association of
Sub Vets.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are three daughters,
Paula Sanders of Sacramento, CA, Elaine Weaver of Kona,
Hawaii, Debbie DuBois and her husband, Ron, of Deltona, FL;
two sons, William H. Weaver II and his wife, Diane, of
Baldhead, City, AZ, and Monte Weaver of Trenton, NJ; a
brother, Marcus Leon Weaver of Forest, MS: two sisters,
Francis Williams of Shallowmar, FL, and Jewell Lorraine
Murphy and her husband, Gus, of Jackson, MS; nine
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three
great-great-grandchildren.
Interment will be at Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens. |
