From 1986 to 1998, he was employed by Texas A&M University

Most family trees list Lovie's actual name as Marie Louise "Lovie"
Watkins. However, I can find no documents which actually have the
name Marie or Louise. All Census records have only the name Lovie. The SSDI
and grave marker have her first name as Lovie. Also, it would be
odd to give another daughter the same middle name of Louise like they did
with Christine. |

James Cline Stone, 78, a
resident of Ludlow died Saturday, December 28, 2013 at St.
Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Burial in the Ludlow
Cemetery.
Mr. Stone was a lifelong resident of the Ludlow community.
He was born on August 18, 1935 to Henry Cline and Frankie
Lee Stone. He was an active member of Ludlow Baptist Church.
He worked at Eaton Aerospace Corporation for 47 years. He
was best known by his coworkers as everybody’s favorite
“Weather Man”.
Mr. Stone will always be remembered for his generosity, care
and concern he showed to others. He spent the last 9 years
of his retirement doing what he loved the most, such as
gardening, watching his favorite college football teams with
Uncle Dick, visiting people in need, and spending quality
time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father,
grandfather and friend to all. He has left a lasting legacy
to his children and grandchildren that they will not soon
forget. Our “Big Daddy” will be greatly missed by all who
knew him.
Mr. Stone was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Cline
and Frankie Lee Stone.
Mr. Stone is survived by his wife, Clara E. Stone; son, Kip
Stone and his wife Sharon and their children, Cline, Kevin
and Claire Stone; daughter, Cami Stone-Hill and her husband

Obituary for
Ronald Elmore O'Rear
http://obits.theadvocate.com/obituaries/theadvocate/obituary.aspx?pid=130731206 |
Ronald Elmore O'Rear was born
Sept. 25, 1942, in New Orleans to Carney Elmore "John"
O'Rear and Flora Watkins "Flo" O'Rear. He died Saturday,
July 25, 2009, peacefully at home in Baton Rouge, following
13 months of cancer treatment.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Kathryn
O'Rear Heaslip.
A loving and devoted husband and father, "Pop," and
grandfather "Pop-Pop," he is survived by his wife, Barbara
Hollis O'Rear; son, Jacob Andrew "Jake" O'Rear; daughter,
Katiellen Palmer "Kati" O'Rear; daughter-in-law, Becky
Button-O'Rear; grandson, Griffin Thomas Button-O'Rear;
brother-in-law, Jim Heaslip and wife Maureen; nieces, Lauren
Heaslip and Wendy Heaslip and Ernesto Valderrama;
great-nephew, Alex Demaree; great-niece, Tess Heaslip;
father-in-law, John Hollis, Northridge, Calif.;
brother-in-law, Wes Hollis, Prescott, Ariz.; sisters-in-law
and brothers-in-law, Sue Hollis and Garth Taylor, Chicago,
Jan Hollis and Mark Walberg, Aberdeen, Wash., Megan Hollis
and Jamshid Javidi, Northridge; special cousins, Cookie
Montgomery and Dennis Logan and family, Birmingham, Ala.,
Elaine and Dick Warwick, Dallas, Nell Wright and family of
Hattiesburg; a host of nephews, a multitude of Mississippi
and Alabama cousins, his uncle, Tom Montgomery, Diamondhead,
Miss.; and special helper and friend, Jason Welborn.
A quiet and patient man, he was solely devoted to supporting
and caring for his family and home. He met his wife,
Barbara, in 1972, while attending LSU and a deep friendship
and love began, nurtured by their mutual appreciation of
nature and love of family. At that time he was fortunate to
have a student job working for a fledgling industrial valve
company which two years later presented a wonderful
opportunity as he was offered a key position in establishing
Industrial Specialties Co. of Louisiana (ISCOLA). He retired
after working as operations manager/inside salesman
following 32 years of dedicated service. He was very proud
to know that the company he helped start became a
flourishing enterprise. He loved walking the beautiful,
serene LSU lakes, was a master model railroader and an
active volunteer and president of the Baton Rouge Model
Railroading Club for a time. He built an HO scale mountain
country trainscape that was a source of enjoyment for
friends and family. He loved sports, especially tennis,
soccer and football. A kind and nurturing parent, his
children were his treasure and he regularly marveled at the
unique gifts they both displayed. He was involved as a coach
for his children's teams and spent countless hours
supporting and nurturing both in all of their sports
activities, regularly attending practices, traveling to
soccer tournaments and cheering them on. He greatly enjoyed
spending time in the great outdoors and gardening, had a
passion for cultivating exotic flowering plants which he
delighted in sharing with family, friends and acquaintances.
He was most happy getting together with family to enjoy
special meals and times together. His yellow lab, "Friend,"
was a faithful companion who also passed on July 25. He was
a naturally gifted man of many talents, a "jack of all
trades" - an original "Honey Do" husband, who awoke every
day with a true sense of purpose, found peace in hard work
and was very focused in taking on any and all home repair
projects with a "can do" attitude, single-handedly
renovating and updating the family home on an ongoing basis.
