David J. Thompson, 58, of
Winchester, VA died on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at
Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock, VA.
David was born on August 9, 1959 in Barberton, OH, the son of
the late Ernest Thompson, Jr. and Nina Belle Blake Thompson.
He was a truck driver, loved his Nascar, Football and the
Dallas Cowboys.
Surviving is his brother: Danny Thompson of Romney, WV and
four sisters: Darlene Burns of Missouri; Felecia Mason of
Winchester, VA; Delorse Miller and Connie Everhart both of
Augusta, WV.
A funeral will be held at the Giffin Funeral Home &
Crematory in Capon Bridge, WV on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at

SALEM — Robert L. “Bobby”
McClain, 63, of Salem, departed this life on Monday, July
29, 2019, at his residence. He was born on January 3, 1956,
in Clarksburg, a son of the late William A. and Helen
Thompson McClain.
Surviving are one brother, William “Bill” McClain, Nutter
Fort; one sister, Pam Johnson and husband Brian, Huntington;
four nieces, Tiffany Carpenter and husband John, Mt. Clare,
Miranda McClain and companion Chris Sutton, Summersville,
Nicole Hurst and husband Drew, Huntington, and Michelle
Wayne, Weston; one nephew, Joshua Watson and wife Collean,
Weston; four great nephews; and two great nieces.
Mr. McClain was the owner and operator of Bob’s Body Shop in
Salem for 40 years. He enjoyed working on antique cars,
shooting pool and participating in pool tournaments at the
VFW.
The family would like to acknowledge Carla Fluharty and
others who extended generosity and kindnesses to Bobby.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Harbert Funeral
Home, 287 W. Main St., Salem, on Friday, August 2, 2019, at
11 a.m. with Pastor Denver Burnside presiding. Interment
will follow in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. The
family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on
Thursday, August 1, 2019, from 5-8 p.m. Expressions of

Letitia Bosley, 55, of Jane Lew
lost her battle with cancer on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at her
residence with her family by her side.
She was born, August 11, 1960, a daughter of the late
William A. and Helen R. Thompson McClain. Letitia worked as
a cook with Crestview Manor Nursing and Rehab for 17 years
and then for Meadowview Manor for nearly 12 years. She loved
cooking and sewing for friends and family, giving many of
her quilts to them. Letitia appreciated nature and would
collect wolf décor which reminded her of her Native American

Letitia is survived by her best friend and husband, Michael
Bosley; one son, Joshua Watson; one daughter, Michelle Wayne
of Buckhannon; two step-daughters, Jennifer Dillon and
husband Scott of Ft. Myers, FL and Melissa Hartman of North
Lawrence, OH; one sister, Pam Johnson and husband Brian of
Huntington; two brothers, Billy McClain of Nutter Fort and
Bobby McClain of Salem; eight grandchildren, Aiden Wayne,
Colton and Paisley Watson, Jenna, Ivory and Creed Dillion,
Destiny and Travis Hartman and Jaxson King and many nieces
and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Letitia was preceded in death by
her first husband of 27 years, Kevin Jon Watson.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home, Rt. 98,
Clarksburg, on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 4- 7 pm and an
hour prior to the service on Saturday; Funeral service will
be held in the chapel of Davis Funeral Home on Saturday,
June 11, 2016 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn
Cemetery. |

Wednesday, November 23, 2016.
Survived by parents, Deborah and Ronald Syjut;
sister, Kristi (fiance' David Godfrey) Syjut;
maternal grandmother, Edythe (Rich) Santucci;
paternal grandparents, Walter and Wanda Syjut; aunts
and uncles: Dennis Betler, Linda (Dave) Johnson, Ken
(Anne) Syjut, Cheryl (Jim) Barbauld.
Preceded in death by grandfather, Daniel Betler.
Jennifer was a member of St. Bridget Catholic
Church, Hobart. She was a graduate of St. Bridget
School, Hobart High School, Class of 2012, and was a
nursing student at Purdue Northwest, Westville
Campus. Jennifer was a cashier at Michael's craft
store, Hobart. |
