Edward J. Ramsey, about 43 years
old, died yesterday afternoon at 2:13 o'clock at the home of
his sister, Mrs. L. A. Walker, Clark street, Huntington,
following an illness of four years and a serious illness of
six months. The funeral will be held at the Walker residence
Thursday at 10' o'clock with the Rev. -----? in charge of
the service, Burial will he at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery.
Mr. Ramsey was born May 13, 1885 in Wood County, West
Virginia. His parents were James and Rebecca Ramsey.
Survived by four children Leslie, Bernard, Madelyn and
Edward, who are in the I. O. O. F. orphans' home in Elkins,
W. Va.
He also is survived by twin brothers, Silburn of Fairview,
W. Va., and Silkirk, of Shelby, Ohio, and by other brothers
and sisters as follows : Mrs. Ruth Merriman, Willard. Ohio ;
Silas D. Ramsey, Wilsonburg, W. Va., and Mrs. L. A. Walker
of Huntington. |

Madeline Pearl Oltmanns, 65, of Yukon, OK went to
join her heavenly father on March 30, 2017. She was
born July 8, 1951 in Oklahoma City, OK to Leslie
James and Dorothy (Mullen) Ramsey.
Maggie was a gifted baker. It brought her a
tremendous amount of joy to bake cakes for the
people she loved.
Maggie was preceded in death by her parents, her
loving devoted husband, John; her infant son, Jimmy
Jr.; sisters, Darlene Winter and Jessie Breeden and
brother, James Ramsey.
Maggie is survived by her daughters: Lorie and
husband James Davis of Yukon, OK, Jamie and husband
Steve Bond of Duncan, OK and LaDonna and husband
Marcus Pete of Austin, Texas; grandchildren: Andy
and wife Rachel Cook, Kaylee and husband Quincy
Bynum, Chris Pete, Tony Pete, Danielle and husband
Stephan Miron, Marino Villafane, Jennifer May and
Alan May. |
She is also survived by many
great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family
members and lifelong friends
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday,
April 8, 2017 at the Yukon Cemetery, Yukon, OK. |

Jamie
Lynn Bond, 51, of Marlow, passed away on Wednesday,
May 9, 2018, in Tulsa. Family visitation is
scheduled for Friday, May 11, at 5:30-7:30 P.M. at
Whitt Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on
Saturday, May 12, in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel
with Rev. Billy Morgan officiating. Burial will
follow at the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of
Whitt Funeral Home.
Jamie was born Sunday, October 9, 1966, in Oklahoma
City. She was raised by Dorothy and Mac McClendon.
Jamie attended Marlow public schools and later
obtained her GED. She received a degree in Medical
Coding from Red River Technology Center. She was
employed as a gauge setter at Cameron Measurements
in Duncan. She married Steve Bond on May 8, 2009, in
Eureka Springs, Arkansas. |
She loved all of her animals,
which included seven wiener dogs and four cats. Her favorite
pastime was spending time at her cabin at Texoma Lake and
riding SeaDoos.
Jamie is survived by her husband, Steve; sons, Andy and wife
Rachel Cook of Oklahoma City and Edward Bond of Portland,
Oregon; sisters, LaDonna and husband Marcus Pete, Lorie and
husband Jimmy Davis, Chanda Windsor, and Dusty Windsor; and
seven grand wiener dogs and four grand cats.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jimmy
Wayne Windsor, Jr.; and aunt, Jesse Breeden.
Memorial contributions can be made in Jamie's name to the
Stephens County Humane Society.

Bernard C. Ramsey, Jr., 71, of
Bridgeport, passed away Friday morning, December 2, 2011, in
the United Hospital Center.
He was born in Clarksburg on September 6, 1940, a son of the
late Bernard C. Ramsey, Sr., and Doris Nicholas Ramsey. He
was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Francis Imperial
Ramsey, on February 11, 2007, after 45 years of marriage.

He is survived by his son, Dr. Michael C. Ramsey and his
wife Fern, Columbia, MD; his fiancée, Denise “Ginger” White
of Clarksburg; and a sister, Donna Runner of Chicago, IL.
Bernard was a graduate of Victory High School, Class of
1959. He was retired from AT & T and also retired from the
US Bureau of Public Debt. He and Mary Francis traveled
extensively, and he was an avid reader, and enjoyed fishing,
shooting, hunting, and his Porsches.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S.

10 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Stonewood, with Father
Kent Durig as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Holy Cross

In the 1953 City Directory for Richmond, VA, there is a
Madeline R Smith, husband given as Harold, who is working as
a manicurist. The 1953 directory, would actually
reflect the year 1952. I then looked for deaths of a
Harold Smith in VA and WV, with no luck. However, the
name of the Marlette Beauty Shop is the same in both 1953
directory under Smith and 1955 under Harrison.
Therefore, her husbands name was Harold. When he died
is unknown. Perhaps a WWII casualty? |

A gathering of family and
friends for a Memorial service for Lynn Katherine Ramsey,
53, of Lakewood, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at her brother’s
residence, 12035 Pond Road, Newbury.
Ms. Ramsey died April 2, 2005, at her residence.
Born May 24, 1951, in Cleveland, she lived in Chesterland
before moving to Lakewood three years ago.
She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in
Chesterland.
Ms. Ramsey worked in customer service for Management
Reports, Inc. for 16 years. She was previously employed at
Structural Fibers.
Survivors are her daughter, Rachael Masek of Warren;
brother, Glen E. (Carol) Ramsey of Newbury, Scott C.
(Ramona) Ramsey of Warren; sister, Rebecca (Ron) Wright of
Tulsa, Okla.; and former husband, Raymond Masek of Warren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward C. and Nina
Jean (Kinnaman) Ramsey; grandparents, Louise and Farrel
Kinnaman; and former husband, Robert V. Joviak.
There will be no calling hours. The Rev. George Zehender of
St. Mark’s Lutheran Church will officiate the services. |

passed away at 8:30 A. M. Tuesday, February 23, 2010
at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born in Clarksburg, WV, March 28, 1947, a
daughter of the late Walter John Pukey and
Lucinda Boals Pukey.
Surviving are; her husband of forty-two years, Gary
I. “Butch” Saunders, Sr. whom she married April 15,
1967, two sons, Gary I.”Ivan” Saunders II, Lost
Creek, WV and Eric Scott Saunders & his companion,
Patty Mullenax, Bridgeport, WV, a daughter & her
fiancé, Allison Michele Saunders & Brian Rowe,
Bridgeport, WV, |
two sisters, Linda Pukey Kinder,
Beauford, SC & Cynthia Jean Hughes & husband, Tom,
Shreveport, LA, and four grandchildren, Dylan Michael Smith,
Paige Mckenzie Smith, Hunter Isaac Saunders & Taylor Nicole
Smith and several nieces & nephews.
Mrs. Saunders was Baptist by faith. She was a graduate of
the old Victory High School - Class of 1965. She always
enjoyed her monthly class breakfasts with her classmates.
She was a proud homemaker and a loving sister, mother &
grandmother. The family would like to say a special “Thank
You” to her care
givers from Amedisys (TLC) Hospice.
Friends may call at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East
Main Street, Clarksburg from 4:00 - 8:00 P. M. on Thursday,
where a funeral service will be held on Friday, February 26,
2010 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Adam Boyd presiding.

Linda
P. Kinder (nee Pukey), age 71, of North Ridgeville,
OH passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at
Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake.
She was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia and had
been a resident of Beaufort, South Carolina for 22
years, recently moving to North Ridgeville. She
worked as a store manager for Exxon for many years,
retiring in 2016. Linda enjoyed crossword puzzles,
arts and crafts, walking and baking for the fire
department. |
Survivors include her sons,
Damon (Danisha) Fields of North Ridgeville, Michael Fields
of Florida; grandchildren, Brittanee Fields, Brandon Fields,
Scott Martin and Brian Fields; sister, Jean (Tom) Hughes of
Louisiana; many nieces and nephews.

Mark
Edward Boals, of Clarksburg, passed suddenly on
Monday, April 15, 2013 at his residence in his 57th
year.
He was born on February 26, 1956 in Harrison County
the son of the late Lawrence and Ida Marie Boals,
and raised by his grandparents the late Pearl and
Mary Cutright. He worked as a roofer in the family
business and enjoyed spending time with family and
friends.
In addition to his parents and grandparents he is
preceded in death by his wife, Vickie Griffith Boals
and great-grandson, Zachiriah Victor. |
Mr. Boals is survived by
children, Deidre Marie Boals (James Gum) of Clarksburg, Mark
Edward Boals, Jr. (Margie Espinoza) of Clarksburg;
grandchildren, Brooke Victor (Jonathan), Tracy Boals, Abby
Boals, Shelby Boals, Hope Boals, Courtney Gum, and Andrew
Gum; great-grandchildren, Zacharey Victor and Elizabeth
Victor; 4 sisters; 2 brothers; several great nieces and
nephews.
Family and friends may call at the Davis Funeral Home on
Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 2-4pm. Upon Mr. Boals wishes he

CLARKSBURG — Zachariah Roy
Victor, infant, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2009, at
Ruby Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Morgantown, the son of Jonathan Roy Victor
and Brooke Anne Boals.
He is survived by one brother, Zachary Roy Victor; paternal
grandparents, William Franklin and Kimberly Ann Victor of
Clarksburg; paternal great-grandparents, William J and
Rosalene M. Victor of Shinnston; paternal
great-great-grandmother, Evelyn L. McDonough of Flemington;
paternal great-grandmother, Georgia Lee Carroll of
Clarksburg; and one uncle, William Franklin Victor II;
maternal grandparents, Mark Edward Jr. and Melinda Kelly
Boals of Clarksburg; maternal great-grandfather, Mark Edward
Sr. of Clarksburg; maternal great-grandmother, Linda Sue
Lantz of Tennessee; and three aunts, Abby Lynn Boals, Shelby
Dawn Boals and Hope Neal Boals, all of Clarksburg.
He was preceded in death by his paternal
great-great-grandfathers, William E. McDonough and Gilbert
F. Carroll and paternal great-great-grandparents, Jack and
Bessie Claypool; and maternal great-grandmother, Vickie Jo
Boals.
He is also survived by his god parents, Ronnie Payne and
Kasi Southern of Clarksburg.
A service will be held at Davis Funeral Home, One Olen
Thomas Dr./Rt. 98, Clarksburg at 10 a.m. Thursday, February
26, 2009, with the Reverend Vera George officiating.
Interment will follow in the Elkview Masonic Cemetery. |

Alice Jean Boals Cain, 62, of
Clarksburg passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020 at United
Hospital Center in Bridgeport. She was born August 12, 1957
in Clarksburg. She was raised by her loving grandparents
Pearl and Mary Gilda Cutright.
Alice worked at the VA Hospital as a scheduling clerk for
many years. She was considered an angel among her patients
and fellow staff. She loved serving and helping other
people. She also loved flowers and gardening. Alice was a
lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2353.
Alice is survived by her husband of 25 years, John Cain;
son, John Patrick Cain Jr.; siblings, Vonda J. Rigdon and
son Matthew of Clarksburg, Margaret Ayers and Tom of Point
Marion, PA, Lawrence M. Boals Jr. and wife Cathy of Ironton,
VA, |
Michael Eugene Boals and wife Tammy of Gypsy, Wendy
Davis and husband Daniel of Adamsville, Melinda Doherty and
husband Joe of West Palm Beach, FL; sister in law, Carolyn
Prescott and husband Ken of Fernandina Beach, FL; brother in
law, Michael and Debbie Summers of Clarksburg; and several
nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Alice was preceded in death by siblings, Mark E. Boals and
Marsha Ellen Mills.
