Timothy Coleman Peach Jr., 25, died Wednesday from injuries received in an automobile accident.

He was the son of Timothy C. Sr. of Woodstock and Judith B. Lazarus of Cumberland. He was the husband of Jennifer L. Jones Peach. He had worked in construction.

In addition to his parents and wife, survivors include a daughter, Brittany N. of home; brothers Aaron and Adam Lazarus, and sister, April Peach, all of Cumberland.

April Lynn Willetts, 51, of LaVale, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2020, at her home.

Born Sept. 6, 1968, in Baltimore, Mrs. Willetts was the daughter of Timothy Colman Peach and wife, Jane, Woodstock, and Judi (Markley) Lazarus-Haag and husband, Harry, LaVale.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Peach Jr.; stepfather, Bert Lazarus; and her in-laws, Earl and Sarah Willetts.

April was employed at UPMC Western Maryland. She was a member of LaVale United Methodist Church and treasurer of Jane's Place.
Besides her parents, April is survived by her husband of 28 years, Bryan Willetts; son, Andrew Willetts and Samantha Boyce; and daughter, Emily Willetts and Micah May. She also leaves behind her brothers, Aaron Lazarus and wife, Brandie, and Adam Lazarus; sister-in-law, Michelle Minnigh and husband, Brian; nieces, Heather Lancaster, Kristi Minnigh, and Brittany Gimbal; great-niece, Jemma Lancaster; and special friend, Taryn Bennett.

Friends will be received at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com), Monday, July 13, 2020, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
With current restrictions, we ask that people follow COVID-19 guidelines, and please limit time to allow everyone the opportunity to visit with the family.

Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Frankie Revell and Pastor Ken Hamilton officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to services.

Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

It appears that whomever she was living with, after the death of her father in 1935, they were eager to get her married and out of the house.  The marriage license below gives her last name as Green, her mother's maiden name.  It appears they were hiding the fact that her last name was actually Markley.  Her age is also given as 21.  She was only 16.

George Edgar Markley "Sonny" our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather left this earth on December 24, 2014 at 2:00 am at the age of 75.

The son of the late Floyd and Beulah Markley of Belington, WV, he retired from the Veterans' Administration Hospital in Hampton. He was preceded in death by two sons, David and Donnie Markley of Hampton and his mother-in-law, Adelene Stalnaker of West Virginia.

George is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sandra Stalnaker Markley; his daughter, Jodi Moreno and her husband, Carlos;
granddaughter, Amanda Barney and her husband, Tyler; grandson, Cory Moreno; great-granddaughter, Brooke Meadow Barney; three brothers, Gary Markley and his wife, Mary and Larry Markley of Virginia and Randy Markley and his wife, Carmen of Belington, WV; and a sister, Sheila Starr and her husband, Steve of Virginia.

Sonny never met a stranger. He loved life and his family so much that he held on to them with all his might. This world lost the most amazing man you would ever meet. He was always the clown you wanted around to keep family gatherings full of fun and laughter. He always did the unexpected. There will be a private service at a later date.

Donnie Lee Markley (aka: Big Shot), 50, left this earth to join his younger brother David Michael Markley in Heaven on Tuesday, July 1, 2014.

Donnie is survived by his parents: George and Sandra Markley, his sister and brother in law: Jodi and Carl Moreno, niece and her husband: Amanda (Moreno) and Tyler Barney, and nephew Cory Moreno, to include, many of his beloved Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and adopted family members and friends.

Donnie was at home towards the end of his journey as he battled cancer. In true Big Shot fashion, he would not quit and courageously fought the beast. During which time he would awake to the faces of loved ones surrounding him and would greet them with a smile, laugh, apologize for inconveniencing all and then promise to return one way or another.
Donnie had hero blood and would say his strength was his family and friends. He had so much love and Big Shot's list never ended.

Donnie was born a proud West Virginian (and Pittsburgh Steelers Fan). He graduated from Kecoughtan High School, Hampton, VA. From the start, Donnie was born to be a Truck Driver. Donnie was not a regular person (and he agreed), he had more common sense than a truck driving rocket scientist and was old school at heart. He was the White Knight in shining overalls of all Truck Drivers. Throughout his 30 plus years of delivering to all 48-States, he received hundreds of driver safety awards and was respected as a leader by his hard-headed peers. Donnie was notoriously known for stopping everything to help anyone, at any time without being asked and without hesitation. He would never take payment. The only payment he would accept was the gratification of knowing he could help someone. There are many he helped and touched along his way that has made him a true legend. We are still discovering new stories of his crazy stunts. If there is one thing that rings with Donnie's name, it’s throughout Donnie's heroic endeavors, he would always be asked, "Do you know what you're doing?"…Donnie's response, "That’s never stopped me before....".

A Celebration of Donnie's Life will be held at the homes of his families; 41 and 43 Eastmoreland Drive, Hampton, VA, on his favorite day of the year, Friday, July 4th, at 6pm. In lieu of flowers, please bring your fondest memories and stories of Donnie to share with all.

AMPTON - David Michael Markley, 40, our beloved son, brother and uncle, went to be with the Lord on April 21, 2008.

David leaves to cherish his memories, his mom and dad, George and Sandra Markley; his brother, Donnie Markley; and his sister, Jodi Moreno and husband, Carl; one niece, Amanda Moreno; and one nephew, Cory Moreno; and of course his dog, Sadie.

David was loved by many aunts, uncles and cousins. A special thanks go to the doctors, nurses and sitters that took special care and gave love and attention all given from the heart. They truly made David feel very special in the last weeks of his life. Thanks to the many loving and caring friends that visited with David these last few weeks.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, downtown Hampton. A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home by the Rev. Elizabeth Taylor.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be sent to a favorite charity.

Gary Lyonel Markley, 72, of Luray, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Winchester Medical Center.

He was born on Aug. 30, 1945, in West Virginia and was a son of the late Floyd C. Markley and Beulah Irene Greene [stet] Markley.

Gary worked as a heavy equipment operator for S.W. Rogers for 12 years.

On Jan. 5, 1973, he married Mary Ann Hamrick Markley, who survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four daughters, Lica Gochenour and husband Ira “Pud” of Luray, Amy Markley, also of Luray, Kim Marley of Florida, and Carrie Ann Markley of Ohio; a son, Kevin Chris of West Virginia; two brothers, Larry Markley of Luray, and Randell Markley of West Virginia; a sister, Sheila Starr of Woodbridge; a sister-in-law, Sandra Markley of Hampton; two granddaughters, Hannah Elmore and Savannah Elmore, both of Luray; two grandsons, Hunter Gochenour and Ryan Gochenour, both of Luray; two nieces, Jodi Moreno and husband Carl of Hampton, and Shannon Hall of Woodbridge; and a nephew, Cory Starr. He was preceded in death by a brother, George “Sonny” Markley.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 22, at the Bradley Funeral Home by Pastor Frank Painter.

Brady Kermit Mcelroy 67, Core died suddenly Saturday at the family farm. He was born in Monongalia County Oct. 19, 1906. He was a well known farmer and Hereford breeder. He was a son of the late Everett and Ida Morris Mcelroy. He was a member of the Monongalia county cattlemen association and the Fox Hunter association. Survivors include his wife Mildred M. Mcelroy two Brothers Burle Mcelroy of Rivesville and Stanley Mcelroy of Morgantown a sister Mrs. Margaret Stiles of Westover and several nieces and nephews.
