Janet Ann Rose, 82, of
Huntington, widow of Tom Rose, passed away Saturday December
28, 2019 in Cornerstone Hospital of Huntington.
She worked as a nanny in her later years and had worked as
an LPN.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, December
31, 2019 at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Keith Waters, and
Rev. Jody Fortner officiating. Burial will follow in Dock's
Creek Cemetery, Kenova, WV.
She was born November 10, 1937, in Wayne County, a daughter
of the late Sybil Byrd. One son Greg Rose also preceded her
in death. She was Baptist by faith, but Jewish by heart.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Keith
Allen and Amy Rose of Wilmington, NC, and Joel Ray Rose of
Huntington; a nephew that she raised as a son, Steve Byrd
also of Huntington; and her special family the Woodruffs.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service
time Tuesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be

Edward Rose Sr., 71, of Lewisburg went home to
celebrate Christmas with his Savior Wednesday
December 14, 2016 in the Doctor's Hospital at
Augusta, GA following a sudden illness.
Born April 1, 1945 at Huntington he was a son of the
late John C. and Alma Opal Perdue Rose. He was a US
Navy Vietnam Veteran having served on the USS Blandy.
Earl was a member of the American Legion and a
member of the First Baptist Church of Fairlea. He
was a former manager of Rose's Department Store, a
sales representative at Sears and Roebuck and
retired from Kmart in Lewisburg. Earl enjoyed
watching TV, woodcrafting and being a "PaPaw."
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly
Rose; one infant grandchild and four siblings,
Thomas Rose, Ira Rose, Helen Johnson and James Rose. |
Those left to cherish his memory
include the special love of his life of 50 years Drema
Richmond Rose at home; children, Michelle Zicafoose and
husband Brian of Concord, NC, Kelly Banton and husband Jimmy
of Frankford and Earl "Edward" Rose Jr. and wife Leslie of
Evans, GA; grandchildren, Addison and Richmond Rose, Josie,
Sandy and Peyton Banton and Laurieanna Moore; one brother,
David Rose and wife Lisa of Germantown, TN, numerous nieces,
nephews and cousins whom he loved dearly.
Funeral services will be 12:00 PM Tuesday, December 20, 2016
at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapels with Jimmy Banton
and Darrin Cherry officiating. Burial will follow in the
Lilly-Crews Cemetery at Nimitz. Friends may call from 6:00 -
8:00 PM Monday at First Baptist Church of Fairlea.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. |

Kimberly Kay Rose, 41, of
Lewisburg, WV lost the fight to a long cancer battle and
brain tumors on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the White
Sulphur Springs Nursing Home.
Born on March 25, 1971 in Hopewell, VA, she was the daughter
of Earl and Drema Richmond Rose of Lewisburg.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairlea, WV
and was once employed by the Greenbrier Hotel. She was a
warm and loving soul that got along with everyone she came
into contact with.
Preceding her in death include her maternal grandmother,
Eloise Via Richmond in 2011; paternal grandparents, John and
Alma Purdue Rose in 1985.
Besides her parents, those left to cherish her memory,
include her beloved daughter Laurieanne Moore; two sisters,
Michelle (Brian) Zicafoose of Charlotte, NC and Kelly
(Jimmy) Banton of Lewisburg, WV; one brother, Edward
(Leslie) Rose of Loganville, GA; three nieces, Addison Rose,
Josie and Sandy Banton; two nephews, Peyton Banton and
Richmond Rose and maternal grandfather, Bernard Richmond of
Jumping Branch, WV.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Monday, October 1, 2012 at
the First Baptist Church of Fairlea, WV with Pastor Kevin
Prevett officiating.
Burial will follow at the Lilly-Crews Cemetery in Nimitz,
WV. Friends may call from noon until time of services,
Monday at the church. Family and friends will serve as
pallbearers.

James
Allen Rose, 66, of Hopewell, passed away on Sunday,
February 24, 2013.
He was the son of the late John C. and Alma Perdue
Rose and was also preceded in death by his brothers,
Thomas Rose, and Ira Rose; and sister, Helen R.
Johnson.
Mr. Rose was hired as a Police Officer with the City
of Hopewell at the age of 21 where he served as an
Investigator in the Detective Division, Sergeant to
the Uniform Division and was promoted to the rank of
Lieutenant after only 14 years of service. He also
served as the first Community Relations Officer,
which included public relations, Neighborhood Crime
Watch Program and Crime Solvers. Lt. |
Rose graduated from Huntington
High School in Huntington, West Virginia and attended John
Tyler Community College prior to his employment with the
City of Hopewell. He also attended Central Police Training
School where he participated in many technical seminars and
classes throughout his career. Lt. Rose was honored as
Police Officer of the Year in 1985.
Lt. Rose served as a Seaman in the Naval Reserves in active
duty for the United States Navy. He loved fishing, the beach
and spending time with his family, especially his
grandchildren.
Lt. Rose is survived by his wife, Debra; sons, Devon Rose,
Jerry Light, Chad Bosserman; daughters, Jonna Locklear,
Tiffany Light; grandchildren, Kaylee, Logan, Austin, Braiden,
Alexia, Zach, Audrina; brothers, Earl Rose and his wife,
Drema, David Rose, and his wife, Lisa; and numerous nieces,
nephews, family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
on Thursday, February, 28, 2013 at the Hopewell Chapel of
J.T. Morriss & Son and Cremation Service. A funeral service
will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013 also at
the funeral home, with Pastor Roger Dean, officiating.
Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery. Contributions
may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501
St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105. Condolences can be
