Mae Lucas, 81, of Huntington, WV, died Sunday,
October 19, 2014, at her residence.
Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday,
October 23, 2014, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington,
with Rev. James D. McChristian officiating. Burial
will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Huntington.
Betty was born March 4, 1933 in Huntington, WV, a
daughter of the late Howard and Drusilla Board
Perdue.
She was also preceded in death by her husband,
William Junior Lucas, Jr. and one sister, Lucille
Rigney. |
Survivors include: three sons,
James Robert and Robin McChristian and David McChristian all
of Huntington, and Darrell and Gina L. McChristian of
Barboursville; one sister, Marlene Rutherford of Huntington;
one brother, Wetzel and Nina Perdue of Huntington; four
grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Chapman’s Mortuary after 1:00 PM on

co-owner of Image Media Consultants and serves as assistant
to the pastor for Life Cathedral in Huntington.

He was born January 5, 1953 in Huntington a son of the late
Jesse James McChristian and Betty Mae Perdue Lucas.

He worked formerly at Camden Park.

Evelyn
Marlene Rutherford, 81, of Huntington, WV, passed
away Saturday, June 5, 2021, in St. Mary's Medical
Center.
She was born October 13, 1939 in Cabell County, WV a
daughter of the late Howard Perdue and Drucella
Board Perdue Wolf.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Homer
Virgil Rutherford; a son, Homer Virgil Rutherford,
Jr.; a grandson, Reese Rutherford; and two sisters,
Betty Lucas and Lucille Rigney
She was a dietician at Cabell Huntington Hospital
for 40 years. |
Survivors include: two
daughters, Mary Beth Moore of Chesapeake, OH and Deborah L.
"Debbie" Erwin of Huntington; seven grandchildren, Faith
Erwin of Bowling Green, OH, Michael Erwin of Pikeville, KY,
Timothy Yates of Huntington, Matt Yates of Huntington, C.J.
Charles Yates of Pennsylvania, Sam Rutherford of Huntington
and Allie Rutherford of Huntington; thirteen grandchildren;
and a brother, Wetzel Perdue of Barboursville.
Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 am Tuesday, June
8, 2021, at Plybon Cemetery, Huntington, with Rev. Dr. Thom
Malcolm officiating. |

Barboursville, passed away October 14, 2013 at his
residence.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday,
October 18, 2013 at Tooley Cemetery, Barboursville.
He was born October 4, 1956, in Huntington, WV, a son of
Evelyn Marlene Rutherford of Huntington and the late Homer
V. Rutherford Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Rutherford; one
daughter, Ali Rutherford of Barboursville; two sons, Reese
Rutherford of Huntington and Samuel Rutherford of
Barboursville; two sisters, Mary Moore of Pennsylvania and
Debbie Erwin of Huntington, WV; and one brother, David
Jennings of New Mexico.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Wallace
Funeral Home, Barboursville. |

Ronald Lawrence Erwin, Sr and a brother, Homer

Faith Evelyn (Scott) Hanna of Ohio, one son, Michael
(Helena) Erwin of Lexington, one sister, Mary Moore of Ohio,
one brother, Bobby Rutherford of Ohio, six grandchildren,
Lacie, Gloria and Emilie Erwin, Michael and Claudia Holbrook
and Cody Chapman and one great grandson, Ryker Bickford and
a son-in-law, Jagger Bicford and an uncle Wetzel Perdue of
Barboursville.

Wetzel Gene Perdue, 84, of
Barboursville, WV, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025,
in St. Mary's Medical Center. A memorial service will be
conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Chapman's
Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Amy McNeil officiating.
Wetzel was born January 29, 1941 in Huntington, WV a son of
the late Howard and Drucilla (Board) Perdue. He retired from
Special Metals where he worked for many years as a
machinist. Wetzel proudly served in the Army. He was a
member of Mt. Union United Methodist Church for over 70
years.
In addition to his parents, Wetzel was preceded in death by
his sisters, Betty Lucas, Lucille Rigney, and Marlene
Rutherford. |
Survivors include: Wife, Nina C. (Wolfe) Perdue; daughter,
Lisa Ashworth (Scott); son, Doug Perdue (Tara);
grandchildren, Michael Ashworth, Jacob Ashworth, Jason
Perdue, Addison Perdue, and Mia Perdue; Great-granddaughter,
Emery Perdue; and a host of friends.
In addition to being a lifelong member of his church, Wetzel
enjoyed taking in the beauty of God's creation, spending
time outside whenever he could whether by hunting, fishing,
or playing golf with friends. Next to his faith, his
greatest love was his family, especially his time with his
grandchildren and wife of 59 years.
Friends may call from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday,
February 8, 2025 at Chapman's Mortuary. In lieu of flowers
donations may be made to the general fund at Mt. Union
