family tree has the marriage as 1931, Catlettsburg,
Boyd Co., KY. No source was given. I
checked in he KY marriages in familysearch, with no
luck.

marries Eva in Aug and their son Raymond is born a
month later in Sep. With first wife Gladys,
son Charles was born Apr 1937. This means
George was with Gladys in Aug or Sep 1936. So
it appears that George was with both women in 1936
but divorced Gladys before Aug 25, 1936 to marry
Eva.
OR - despite what the death certificate says for
Charles Kenneth Perdue, George was NOT the actual
father of Charles.

Of note about George and Gladys' children Betty
Louise Perdue and Richard Clyde Perdue. Both
disappear from the Census in 1940 and 1950.
Mother Gladys has son by Ferguson in 1939, but I
cannot find them either in the 1940 Census. Perhaps
Betty and Richard Clyde were living with a relative,
particularly after 1943, when Gladys passes away.

Constance Sue "Connie" Perdue Maynard, of North
Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Huntington, WV, wife
of Gary L Maynard, walked through the gates of
Heaven to eagerly meet Jesus on Saturday, December
16th, 2023.
She was born March 8, 1954 to Richard C and the late
Mary Frances Jarrell Perdue. She graduated from
Barboursville High School in 1972 and attended
Marshall University. She married her favorite guy,
Gary Maynard, in December 1974. She previously
worked at CG Biscuit Co, Fruth Pharmacy, HIMG and
Valley Health before retiring in 2018. |
She was a member of HWBC and the
Huntington 500 Club for many years. She was a member of
Kellogg Independent Holiness Church of God in Huntington and
attended Chapel by the Sea in North Myrtle Beach. She loved
reading, music, trivia, games, cooking, sewing, and "living
the dream" but considered her family to be her greatest
accomplishment.
She is survived by her loving and caring husband, Gary, four
wonderful children; Brian of Fredericksburg, VA; Brad
(Jamie) of Barboursville, WV; Beverly (Josh) Porter of Fort
Carson, CO; and Brandon (Becca) of Huntington, WV. She was
Nana to 10 very loved grandchildren; Madi and Phoebe of
Fredericksburg, VA; Wyatt, Josie and Knox of Barboursville,
WV; Caleb, Gavin, Sadie and Macie of Fort Carson, CO; and
Sophia of Huntington, WV. She is also survived by one
sister, Carolyn (Joe) Powers of Huntington, WV; 4 brothers;
Rick (Tami) of Parkersburg, WV; Ernie (Penny) of North
Myrtle Beach, SC; Alan (Helene) of Frederick, MD; and David
of Winchester, VA; in-laws Loretta (Roger) Henderson of
Charlottesville, VA; Ervin (Edie) Maynard of Huntington, WV;
18 nieces and nephews, several aunts, uncles and cousins,
and numerous friends.
Funeral services will be held at Reger Funeral Home at 1:00
pm on Friday, December 22, 2023; with a visitation 1 hr
prior to service. Private family burial will follow in Susie
Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Connie has requested
donations be made to The WV Saints Missionary Softball

A
Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held
for RICHARD "RICK" PERDUE on Saturday, August 3,
2024, at 4 p.m. The service led by Pastor Brian
Leversee will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church,
5300 Rosemar Rd., Vienna, WV. He will be buried at
Ottawa Hills Memorial Park in Toledo, Ohio.
Rick was born September 23, 1955, and died at
Cleveland Clinic, July 10, 2024, after a brief
illness.
He was a graduate of Barboursville High School Class
of 1973 in Barboursville, WV. He also received his
degree in Business from Marshall University.
Rick was married to the love of his life, Tamara
"Tami" Roth Perdue, August 4, 1984, at Highlawn
Baptist Church in Huntington, WV. They have 4
children, Rick Perdue Jr., Amanda Perdue Fludd,
Johnathan (Rachel) Perdue, and Alexandra (Nathan)
Coleman. |
Their three precious
grandchildren, include Talia Fludd, Emma Perdue, and Caleb
Coleman.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Frances Perdue
and his sister Connie Maynard. Rick is survived by his wife
and children, father Bob Perdue, siblings Ernest (Penny)
Perdue, Carolyn (Joe) Powers, Alan (Helene) Perdue, David
Perdue, his brother-in-law Gary Maynard, 14 nieces and
nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews.
Rick was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church and
had a beautiful tenor voice he used to praise his Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ throughout his life, singing in many
choirs, gospel groups, as well as singing many solos. Rick
was very generous, had a great sense of humor, and he lived
the fruit of the spirit everyday, "love, joy, peace, long
suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and
self control."
He loved participating in productions at the Actors Guild of
Parkersburg and the Smoot Theatre.
Rick worked for IBEW 317 in Huntington, WV, for 38 years and
Constellium in Ravenswood, WV, for 8 years. He will be
greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations
be made to the Fellowship Baptist Building Fund for
children's ministries. Please write in memo line: Rick
Perdue Memorial.

Richard
A. Perdue, 77, of Huntington, passed away Wednesday,
October 5, 2016, at his residence.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 am
Friday at the White Chapel Memorial Gardens
Mausoleum by Rev. Thom Malcolm and Rev. Ralph Sager.
Burial will follow.
He was born October 20, 1938 in Cabell County, W.
Va. a son of the late Richard and Eva Carter Perdue.
He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Mount
Union United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death
by a daughter Michelle Marie Perdue, two brothers
Raymond and Donald Perdue and a sister Jeanene
Stowers. |
Survivors include his beloved
wife of 59 years Eulah Perdue, three sons Richard “Richie”
Perdue Jr., Tracy Perdue, both of Myrtle Beach, SC and Troy
Perdue of Weber City, VA, two daughters and sons-in-law
Sheri and Mike Stowers and Kim and Anthony Enix all of
Huntington, four grandchildren and two spouses Michael and
Missy Stowers, Courtney Stowers, Kali Marie Enix and Zak and
Megan Enix, four great grandchildren Kyeler and Carson
Stowers, Lacey and Payton Tabor, two brothers Bob Perdue of
Myrtle Beach, SC, Ron Perdue of Huntington, two sisters Pat
Bates of Huntington , Betty Turner of Warren, MI and several
nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, October 6, 2016 at
the Reger Funeral Home. There will be no procession to the

handkerchief and gold coin, Kathleen Roschelle
McCool wed Richard Arlen Perdue Jr. June 6 at the
Longview Community Church. The handkerchief and coin
were brought from Brazil at the time of the bride's
birth by her aunt, Uldena Maki of Portland.
The bride is the daughter of Donna C. McCool of
Longview and Richard and Mary McCool of Kelso. The
bridegroom is the son of Richard A. and Euhla Perdue
of Huntington, W. Va.
Honor attendants were Judi Center and Chris
Schneider. Other attendants were Robert Demmett,
uncle of the bride; Andy Fuimaono, Sheryl Davis and
Connie Hewitt. Carolyn Feasey was scripture reader.
The bride attended Kelso schools and graduated from
Mark Morris High School and Stylemaster's College of
Hair Design. She is a hair stylist and manager of a
beauty salon in Seattle.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Huntington (W.Va.)
High School. He is a petty officer third class in
the Navy. The newlyweds honeymooned at the Oregon
coast and took a later honeymoon to West Virginia,
Kentucky and Tennessee. After Sept. 10, they will
make their home in Hawaii. |

Ronald Garry Perdue, 79, of
Huntington, W.Va., went to his Heavenly home on Thursday,
February 10, 2022 at St. Mary's Medical Center.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 pm by Minister
Pete Ricks on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Crooks Cemetery.
Burial will follow.
Ronald was born on September 5, 1942 in Cabell County to the
late George Richard and Eva Marie Carter Perdue. He was a
member of the Mount Union united Methodist Church. Ronald
was a service manager for IKON.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his
wife, Carol Faye Withrow Perdue; two granddaughters, Allison
Faye Perdue and Alyssa Perdue; three brothers, Donald,
Raymond, and Richard Perdue; and one sister, Jeanen Stowers.

He is survived by his two sons, Mark Allen (Paula) Perdue
and Michael (Jennifer Wallace a.k.a. Sunshine) Perdue; four
grandchildren, Ashley Wince, Austin Perdue, Samuel Perdue,
and Tess Perdue; one great grandchild, Kaiden Clark; one
brother, Richard C. Perdue; and one sister, Pat Bates.
Friends may call from 1-2 pm on Sunday February 13, 2022 at
the Reger Funeral Home. A procession will leave from the
funeral home at 2 pm. Online condolences may be made to the

Jeanene Stowers, 72, of Huntington, wife of Clyde
Stowers, passed away Tuesday May 24, 2016 at Cabell
Huntington Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Saturday
at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Rick Perdue.
Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery,
Huntington.
She was born November 30, 1943 in Cabell County, WV,
a daughter of the late George and Eva Marie Carter
Perdue. Jeanene was a homemaker. |
In addition to her parents she
was also preceded in death by a son, David Stowers; grandson
Brandon Stowers and two brothers Raymond Lee Perdue and
Donald L. Perdue.
Additional survivors include her children Duane (Shannon)
Stowers, Gregory A. (Lisa) Stowers and Teresa (Jeff)
Williamson; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren
two brothers Richard A. Perdue and Ronald G. Perdue; sister
Patti Bates and half brother and half sister Bob and Betty.
Friends may call from noon until service time on Saturday at
the Reger Funeral Home. |

Gregory
"Greg" A. Stowers, age 58, passed away Monday,
December 27, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his
loving family.
Greg was born in Huntington, WV. He has lived in
Richmond Hill since 1995 and recently moved to
Midway.
He has worked for 7 years with All Seasons Outdoor
Power Equipment in Richmond Hill. He was a former
service manager for Grist Equipment Company.
Greg enjoyed working on any kind of small engines,
go carts, and cars. He liked music and TV. |
He is survived by his wife, Lisa
Stowers of Midway; his children, Allisha Harn (Michael) of
Richmond Hill, Ryan Stowers (Rose) of Mississippi, Katelyn
Owens (Michael) of North Carolina, and Josh Greenwood of
West Virginia; his father, Clyde Stowers of Huntington, WV;
a brother, Duane Stowers of Huntington, WV; a sister, Teresa
Williamson of Louisiana; and thirteen grandchildren.
"There will be no funeral service, the family will be
celebrating Greg's life over the next few days at his home.
Friends and family who wish to pay their respects are
welcome to visit at the residence anytime before the evening
of Thursday 12/30/21. Any arrangements can be sent to the

He was born May 11, 1979 in Huntington, a son of
Clyde and Jeanene Perdue Stowers. He was a
journeyman electrician with Specialty Systems
Electric. |
In addition to his parents he is
survived by his loving wife Stephanie Baisden Stowers;
brothers Duane (Shannon) Stowers and Greg (Lisa) Stowers;
sister Terri (Jeff) Williamson; father and mother in law
James and Joyce Baisden and his nieces and nephews whom he
loved dearly.
