Junior Lee Collett |
| |
1940 - Census -
Junior and twin sister Joy are 6 years old and
living with mother with her new husband Arthur
Rosier in Leadsville. |
| |
1950 - Census -
Junior L Collett is living in University Heights,
Bernalillo Co., NM. This census indexing
incorrectly lists Junior as female, which is
incorrect.
What this Census shows is that on Aug 23, 1950,
Junior was in the Air Force and was living in
barracks at Kirtland AFB, This explains why he
ended up living in the Southwest. |
| |
1950 - 1953 -
Junior meets Eloisa Aragon and together they have a
daughter. |
| |
After this time, it is
nearly impossible to find Junior because he starts
using his older brother's name; Louis Dale and
slight changes to his last name from Collett to
Cotten and Cotton. Why he does this, is
unknown to me. Perhaps he was hiding out for
some reason. Maybe, his close family can
answer this. Maryhelen, if you come across
this web page, please e-mail me. |
| |
1953 - 1975 -
From city directories and some failed marriages,
Junior moved around in CA, NV, NM, and lastly Texas,
where he died.
According to his death certificate, under the name
Louis Dale Cotton, her was born in WV (true) and his
birthday was June 18, 1930. The month and day
are correct. The year should have been 1933.
(6 years old 1940 Census.) Father's name is given as
Pete Cotton, nothing for the mother. This of
course, is incorrect. He either did not tell his
last wife Doris the truth about his family or she
just did not know. |
