Emma Daft
  About Emma's Birth Year -- Most, with the exception of a couple, family trees on Ancestry have Emma's birth year as 1873.  This includes her death certificate and grave marker. This is incorrect.  Emma was born in 1872. 

First evidence of this is the actual birth record for an unnamed baby girl born to Robert and Elizabeth Daft on Dec 30, 1872 in Randolph Co., WV.

Second strongest evidence for the birth year of 1872 is the birth of sister Loretta in Jul of 1874.  If Emma had been born Dec 29, 1873, then sister Loretta would have been born at least 2 months premature. While not impossible, two months premature in 1874 is a hard sell.

The third piece of evidence is the marriage license.  Emma's age is given as 23 and her husband's age is 20. 

The fourth piece of evidence are the fluctuating ages for Emma in the Census data. 1910 and 1940 Census has her age as 38 and 68 respectively.

Stephen Lynn Stalnaker of Lilburn died Tuesday. He was 43.

The graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Gwinnett Memorial Park in Lawrenceville. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Stalnaker was a housing contractor.

Surviving are his wife, Pamela Stalnaker; a son, Jason Stalnaker of Lilburn; his mother and stepfather, June and Kit Thurmond of Dawsonville; and three siblings, Chris Stalnaker and Randy Elaine Stalnaker of Dawsonville and Karl Stalnaker of Atlanta

PLEASANTON-- A graveside service for former Biggs resident Mildred C. Schott, 92, of Pleasanton, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 22, at Gridley. She died Wednesday, April 17, 2002, in a Bay Area hospital.

She was born July 20, 1909, in Elkins, W.Va. She married John Schott. She and her husband were residents of Biggs for several years. In 1992, she moved from Biggs to the Bay Area to be closer to her
family. She was an active member of Biggs Community United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Joan Cornelius of San Antonio, Texas, Pat Davis of Antioch and Marilyn Morrison of San Ramon; and 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Her husband, John, died previously. Arrangements are under the direction of Gridley Block Funeral Chapel.

 Earl Richard Lubiejewski, of Garberville, California died Sunday, April 22, 2012 at home after a brief battle with cancer.

Born in Rome, NY on November 11, 1948 to Connie and Walter Lubiejewski, Earl was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He spent several years in Germany after the war then returned to California. He chose to live out his life in his beloved redwoods on the Eel River in Northern California.

Earl was preceded in death by his mother, Connie Lubiejewski Michaels, and his grandmother, Mildred Crouch.

Deeply loved by his family, he is survived by his brother, Walt; sister, Janice; cousin, Susan; daughters Jennifer and Jasmine; and numerous stepbrothers, stepsisters, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held in Garberville in late June.

Pat passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday October 16, 2018.

Pat was born in Utica, New York and graduated from Rome Free Academy and from New York State Hospital Nurses Training School. After graduation, Pat, along with her big sister Connie, hopped a train to San Francisco, California where she pursued her career as a Registered Nurse. Pat was uniquely qualified for nursing as she had a great capacity for caring for others. Pat touched the lives of many during her career and long into her retirement.

During her career, Pat worked at the Veterans Hospital in Martinez, California, Los Medanos Hospital in Pittsburg, California, and retired from Mount Diablo Hospital in Concord, California as the Manager of the Cardiology Lab.
After retirement, she didn't have nursing quite out of her system and went back to work as an advice nurse for Kaiser. After her second retirement, Pat moved to Tucson, Arizona to be closer to her daughter Susan.

Pat was one of five siblings, Connie, Ted, Marilyn and Joan. Pat loved her brother and sisters with all her heart. Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred, her brother Ted, her sister Connie and her sister Joan.

Pat will be lovingly remembered by her children, Susan Hyder, (Bill), Jeff Davis, (Kyle), Scott Davis, (Karon) and Julie Bouslog, (Tim); her grand children Swain, Lisa, Alan, Callie Rose, Emily Joy, JC, Troy and Bryn, many nieces and nephews, many special friends and colleagues.

All are invited to attend a celebration of Pat's life on Saturday, November 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Bring's Broadway Chapel, 6910 E. Broadway Blvd., Tucson Arizona. 520-296-7193.

Services were conducted on Nov. 13, 1984 at the Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel for Theodore "Ted” Crouch, who died Thursday Nov. 8, at his home in Biggs following a short illness. He was 48 years old.

Born Nov. 24, 1935, Utica, New York, he moved to Biggs in 1980 by way of the San Francisco Bay Area.

A teamster most of his adult life, he had managed a gas station in Paradise for the past years with his wife, Sue Crouch of Biggs. He was a member and a Worthy Past President of San Francisco’s Eagles Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Crouch; his mother, Mildred Schott of Biggs; four daughters, Emily Lynn McLeay of Millbrae, Anna Demming, Kimberly Crouch and Teresa Crouch, all of Pacifica; three stepsons, Ronald Flowers and Daniel Flowers both of Chico, and Donald Flowers of San Francisco; one stepdaughter, Cathi Smith of Biggs; four sisters, Connie Michaels of Sacramento, Marilyn Morrison of Pleasanton, Patricia Davis of Antioch, and Joan Lee Cornelius of San Antonio, Texas; three stepbrothers, Donald Schott of Vermontville, New York, Edward Schott of Waterbury, Conn., and Milton Schott of Leavenworth, Kan.; and six grandchildren.

Rev. Pamela Coy of the Biggs Methodist Church officiated at the service, which was followed by burial at the Gridley-Biggs District Cemetery.

Contributions to the American Cancer Society are suggested by the family and may be left at the funeral chapel.

Services were held for Kimberly Jean (Crouch) Borrow [stet] who died March 23 at home in Pacifica. She was 37.

A native of Pacifica, she lived her all her life and worked as a welder. Kimberly was a member of the Pacifica Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter Amber Rae of South San Francisco son Tommy Borrow [stet] of South San Francisco ex-husband Lee Borrow [stet] also of South San Francisco mother Frances Hernandez of Clear Lake and sisters Emily MacLeay of Sacramento Anna Marie Luccia of Burlingame and Teresa Crouch of Gear Lake.

Kimberly was heavily involved with the youth and young adults in her community.

Joan L. Cornelius born on January 21, 1941 went to be with the Lord on August 17, 2012 at the age 71.

She is preceded in death by her husband William S. Cornelius.

Survivors include her children James See (Shelley), Ray See, Debbie Sanchez (Mike), Jeffery Cornelius, William Cornelius, Jeanette Gale and Sharon Young, 2 sisters, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other loving family members and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Rosie and Margaret from Hospice for their compassion and care.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 9:45 a.m. at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.

Jackson Crouch. RFC Retiree Services for Jackson P. Crouch, 65, of 1661 Faye rd., will be at 1 p. m. Friday at the Hopkins Canton rd. chapel.

Mr. Crouch, a retired B. F. Goodrich machinist, died Monday at St. Thomas Hospital. Born in West Virginia, he lived in Akron 30 years. He was a member of the Goodrich 20-Year Club, a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose, National Lodge 568, F&AM, of Barberton, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite of Akron, Tadmor Shrine and North Springfield Presbyterian Church. He leaves his wife, Elizabeth; brothers, William, West Virginia, Edward, Cuyahoga Falls, and Joe, Akron.

Burial will be in Hillside cemetery.
