This means that Estelle did pass away before Aug 11, 2021 and her daughter Sandra is the executor of her will.

Jeffrey Kalb Jr., age 36, of Geneva, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021 at University Hospitals of Geneva. He was born July 10, 1985, the son of Jeffrey and Cheryl (Crouser) Kalb.

A man with many talents, Jeffrey was an amazing cook and attended Pittsburgh Culinary Institute. He had worked for Conrad Tires as a Master Technician and more recently at Central Hardware. Jeffrey was active in the wrestling community and enjoyed many friends with AIW Absolute Intense Wrestling. He was also well known in the Dirt Truck Racing Community. Jeffrey is survived by his parents; brother, James J. Kalb; uncles, Owen Crouser and Howard (Marianne) Crouser; nephew, Jason Rogers, Jr.; aunt, Karen (Jim) Dougherty; and their children, Tim and Todd; and several more nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Jennie Kalb; and maternal grandparents, Russell and Jean Crouser.

Friends will be received 2 – 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison. At 5:30 p.m. the family invites you to join in an Irish Toast to honor the life of Jeffrey.

Barbara (Bebe) Ellen Nichols died March 25, 2020 in Birmingham, Ala. She was born February 5, 1934 in Clarksburg, Wv, grew up in West Milford, graduated from Unidis High School in 1952, before living most of her life in Bridgeport, Wv.

She was the youngest child of John Henry McKinley Frush and Hattie May Trippett Frush who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Robert Elwood Nichols and her two brothers, Robert Lee and William Frank, and one sister Alice Jean Crouser.

She is survived by her daughters Roberta Ellen Nolte and husband Dan of Ona Wv; Rebecca Ann Nichols of Nashville Tn; the three sons Roger Alan, and his wife Erika, of Nashville Tn; Kenneth Eugene and his wife Lori, of Birmingham Ala; Joseph Andrew of Jacksonville, Fla; two grandsons Ian Nolte and his wife Amy, and Max Nolte of Huntington, Wv; and granddaughters, Harper, Zoe, and Bella Nichols of Birmingham, Ala; and one great-granddaughter Eva Louise of Huntington, Wv.
Barbara managed the photography business, The Bell Studio, in Bridgeport through the years after one day being asked by her husband to hand-color a black-and-white portrait. Little did she realize that her responsibilities would grow through the years to include managing all facets of the business after her husband took the photograph. If there is a colorized portrait in a home in Bridgeport from the 60s, it was hand-colored by Barbara.

Over the next 40 years while she worked in the Studio, Barbara was raising her five kids and always had an eye out for the other kids in the neighborhood. She was a caring mom when her kids were small but not over-protective. She lost her mother when she was two, raised by an aunt until her father was able to provide for her in her early teens. This experience influenced her own parenting as she allowed her children to be independent, to think, decide, and act with direction or support if they wanted it. They rarely wanted it.

She camped with four kids while 8-months pregnant, then camped some more with all five in places like Holly River State Park in Wv and Tom’s Cove in Assateague, Del. She cooked thousands of meals after working at the Studio all day, made hundreds of bowls of rice pudding, and faithfully fulfilled her kids’ annual, birthday-meal-request for spaghetti and chocolate cake.

She willingly loved and adopted pets including Flip, for a time, Molly, Whitney-kitty, Calli-kitty, Alexx, Lil’ Kitty, and then Little Buddy, who remained with her until she could no longer care for him. She loved them all, and they loved her back.

After selling The Bell Studio, Barbara and her husband moved to Birmingham, Ala where they lived for 15 years near their son and his family. Barbara was employed by Smith’s Variety for a time and later as the executive assistant at YouthServe. She loved being with the young people who worked there who helped other kids through community service projects. She also loved the non-profit’s office cat, Boo Radley.

She was an avid reader consuming as many James Patterson books as she could get and was always willing to reread a James A. Michener novel from her shelf. She also loved The Carol Burnett Show and raised her kids to love and laugh at the skits.

She will be remembered for many things. She possessed a sense of humor which drew her kids and their friends to her. She possessed a quiet dignity and never elevated herself above others. She never forgot her roots and was proud of West Virginia. She was fiercely loyal to her husband, and she often set aside her own interests for those of her husband, children, and pets. She will be remembered, missed and live on in her family’s life.

Mrs. Francis J. Thompson Trippet, 85, of Third Street, Bridgeport, W. Va., died on Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at the Cameron Continuous Care in Cameron, W. Va.

She was born April 25, 1920, in Bridgeport, W. Va., the daughter of the late William J. and Myrtle Morrow Thompson. Mrs. Trippet was a native of Bridgeport, W. Va., and graduated from Bridgeport High School with the class of 1938. She married Paul P. Trippet on Sept. 27, 1938. He preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 1976. Mrs. Trippet is survived by three nieces and two nephews. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Dennis R. Thompson, Harold J. Thompson, and Robert C. Thompson.

Mrs. Trippet retired from the Ohio Bell Telephone Co. on Feb. 22, 1980. She was a life member of Nathan C. Kingsbury Chapter 72 Telephone Pioneers of Akron, Ohio. Mrs. Trippet was Protestant by faith.

Friends will be received at the Ford Funeral Home, Allen Chapel, 215 E. Main St., Bridgeport, W. Va., on Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The funeral service will be celebrated at the funeral home on Friday at 2 p.m., with Rev. Dr. C. Michael Hopkins and Pastor Bob Scharnhorst officiating. The interment will follow at the Bridgeport Cemetery in Bridgeport, W. Va.

The Trippett family has entrusted the care and arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Allen Chapel, 215 E. Main St., Bridgeport, W. Va.

Geraldine S. "Gerry" Ross, 69, of Bridgeport, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday (Jan. 11, 2010).

She was born Oct. 20, 1940, the daughter of the late Howard W. and Dorothy L. Trippett, and was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Roger K. Ross; David Ross, son, of Chino Hills, Calif., and daughter, Susan M. Ross of Morgantown; three grandchildren, Jessica Ross and great-granddaughter London Thomas, Jaclyn Ross Belcastro and husband Justin; and Gregory K. Ross II, all residing at Maple Lake; two brothers, James Trippett, wife Linda; and Robert Trippett, wife Pamela, all of Bridgeport.
Gerry also is survived by sister-in-law Nancy Dutchess and husband Denny of Nutter Fort; 10 nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Gerry was preceded in death by her son, Gregory K. Ross; brother, Donald H. Trippett; and great-grandchild, Jordyn Belcastro.

Gerry was a Christian by faith and a member of Simpson Creek Baptist Church. She served Bridgeport and the surrounding area over the past 30 plus years as a real estate agent and broker of Apex Realty Services. Gerry will be remembered most for her bright smile, sense of humor, warm heart and love of God and family. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

Sara Nichole Trippett, infant daughter of David Trippett and Heidi Dawn Dodd, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 in the United Hospital Center.

In addition to her parents, Sara is survived by her maternal grandparents, Rebekah and Leon Dodd, Reynoldsville; paternal grandparents, Keith Trippett, Jarvisville, and Patircia Stemple, Mt. Clare; great grandparents, Tom Dodd, Wilsonburg, and Mary Ann Chambers, Clarksburg; aunts, Bonnie and Chelsea Dodd; and uncle, Joshua Stemple.

On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, we lost our beloved daughter, mother and friend. Kristin Leigh Trippett, 37, passed away on this date at her residence in Bridgeport. She was born in Clarksburg on October 28, 1980, the only daughter of James F. and Lynda K. Nuzum Trippett, who survive in Bridgeport.

In addition to her parents, Kristin will be sadly missed by her two beautiful daughters, Jameson Kae Trippett and Kassidy Jean Stump and her fiancé David A. Stump.

She is also survived by her brothers, J. Tyler Trippett and wife, Leigha; Kevin Trippett and wife Jennifer, all of Bridgeport, and Keith Trippett, Salem, WV.
 
Also surviving are Kristin’s aunt Pamela Piatt and husband Gale; uncles Robert Nuzum and Robert Trippett and wife, Pamela , and Roger Ross and his wife Paulette, all of Bridgeport , and her fiancé David’s parents, David and Betty Stump of Jane Lew.

Also surviving are nephews, Anthony James Trippett (AJ) and David S. Trippett; nieces, Martina Trippett, Shaina Trippett and Kalee Trippett Hoskinson, and husband, Logan, and their son, Beckham. Also , cousins, Craig Trippett, Shane Piatt, Ashley Piatt Mitchell and husband , Mickey and daughter, Kinley ; also cousins, Mark, Steve and Kathy Trippett, David and Susan Ross, and Leah Trippett.

Kristin was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Walton and Jean Nuzum; paternal grandparents, Howard and Dorothy Trippett; aunts Peggy Lake Nuzum, Gerry Trippett Ross and Sylvia Trippett; uncle, Donald Trippett and cousin, Gregory Ross.

Kristin was an honor student at Bridgeport High School where she graduated in 1998; she completed her education at WVU and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Political Science. She was last employed at Cybertel Communications in Clarksburg. Kristin was a lifetime member of Simpson Creek Baptist Church.

Kristin’s daughters were the light of her life and she was a proud and loving mother. She loved attending their dance classes, dance recitals and school activities. Kristin was an avid reader and taught her children to read and love books. She was always concerned about those less fortunate and was quick to speak up for anyone treated unfairly, whether it be a person or animal. She will also be missed by her rescue cats, Lucille and Tommy. Her family will certainly miss her funny sense of humor and her concern for others.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, on Sunday from 4 – 8 p.m., where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 25, 2018, with Dr. C. Michael Hopkins presiding. Interment will follow in Smith Cemetery, Meadowbrook Road.

Nancy Jane Tenney, age 75, of Buckhannon, WV died Thursday, November 6, 2014 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV.

She was born December 15, 1938 in Bridgeport, a daughter of the late William Trippett.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Lorrie Lower.

She is survived by her husband Carroll Tenney of 26 years. Also surviving is one son, Laurence Duan Cleghorn of Parkersburg, WV; one daughter, Beverly Jo Gates and husband Bret of Parkersburg; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Dustin “Dusty” Levi Gates, 35, of Parkersburg, passed away August 24, 2021, at Camden Clark Medical Center following a battle with an extended illness.

Dustin was born June 11, 1986, in Buckhannon, WV. A mischievous child grown into a young man who lived life on his own terms, Dustin enjoyed woodworking, professional wrestling, watching Nascar, and above all, he loved his dog, Tiki. He will be dearly missed but always remembered by all who knew him.
