  1950 - Census - Bertha is living by herself in Fairmont, Marion Co., WV.  She gives her marital status as "separated".  I was unable to find Bernard.  However, Bernard dies two years later at the Union Rescue Mission in Fairmont.  It is currently ( 2023 ) a homeless shelter.  It may have been a shelter in 1952 also.

  There are images for this child's birth record on ancestry in the Missouri, U.S., Birth Registers, 1847-1999.  However, the digital images are pretty much useless because they are washed out.

The record is on page number 547, line number 55.  Birth place is 4259 Hennerly [actually Kennerly], St Louis, MO on Nov 28, 1907 to father Bernard Stalnaker and mother Bertha Stalnaker

This child died sometime before the 1910 Census.  Census reports that Bertha had 2 children.  One that died before the 1910 Census

  1934 - 1935 - Marries George Wayman Morgan, Jr.  This marriage range is based on City Directories for Fairmont and the birth of daughter Marian in Jan 1936.  City directories have Bessie's last name as Stalnaker until 1935. After that, her last name is Morgan.

They did not marry in WV.  I searched through the WV marriage records for this marriage, with no luck.

Jon Miles Enyeart, age 59 of Las Cruces died on Monday August 29th, 2011 at Mesilla Valley Hospice of Brain Cancer.

Jon was born in 1952 in Kimball, Nebraska and was the only son of Wayne and Bessie Enyeart. He was a proud graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Jon spent 25 years of his life building his business, Pony Carburetors, Inc. With a great reputation for doing quality work, Jon was considered the foremost authority on Ford and Mustang carburetion.
Before moving his business to Las Cruces in 2003, he lived in Nebraska, Florida, Colorado and New York. His hobbies included flying airplanes, gardening and watching football. He was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan. He loved entertaining and will be sorely missed my many friends and business associates.

Jon had no children but loved Barney, his cat. He is survived by his cousins, Joanne, Jim and Jerry Ebers, all living in Omaha, NE.

No services will be held. Thank you to Mesilla Valley Hospice, the Koppang and Sunday families, Gary Sperling and Carolyn Baca-Waters for being supportive during this very difficult time.

Geneva Stalnaker Henry, age 94 passed away on August 2, 2004 in a local hospital. Mrs. Henry was born in St. Louis, MO and moved to Fairmont, West Virginia, where she lived with her parents and three siblings until she graduated from Fairmont State Teacher's College. After graduation from college, she married Robert Frances Henry.

Mrs. Henry was a retired schoolteacher having taught in the Portsmouth, Chesapeake, and Norfolk County school systems. She believed strongly that education was the key to success in life. She loved to learn and had a great thirst for knowledge, which continued, into her advanced years.

Following her retirement, she led a very active and full life. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, an Honor Society for Teachers. She was an active member and volunteer at the Beazley Senior Citizen Center where she taught bridge and assisted with other activities. For several years, she was a member of Adelaide Eberly's Square Dance Group. They entertained primarily at nursing facilities. Mrs. Henry dearly loved music and was a member of a local music club.

She was predeceased by a loving and devoted husband Robert Francis Henry and a loving daughter Betty Henry Lewis. She was also predeceased by a brother Dr. Bernard Stalnaker, a sister Bessie Enyeart as well as Robert Lee Tureman and C. Raymond West her son-in-laws.

She is survived by her children Susan Henry Tureman, Shirley Henry Duval and her husband Douglas, Joan Henry Long all of Portsmouth, Frances Henry West of Chesapeake, William Herbert Henry and his wife Linda of VA Beach ; son-in-law Robert B. Lewis, III of Portsmouth; a sister Virginia Sybert Taylor of Winchester, VA; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM Thursday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel by Rev. Wendall Sodergren.

CHESAPEAKE – Frances H. West, 86, of Chesapeake, died Sunday, February 2, 2020 in her home. She was born in Grafton, WV. Mrs. West was the daughter of the late Robert F. Henry and Geneva S. Henry.

Mrs. West was predeceased by her husband, C. Raymond West; her sisters, Susan Tureman, Betty Lewis and Joan Long; and her brother, William Henry.

Survivors include her daughters, Elizabeth Ann Holland (Bob) and Janice West Fearing (Zene);
four grandchildren, Jennifer Dame, Justin Orenduff (Shahrzad), Allison Fawcett (Steven) and Cameron Holland (Laura); and four great-grandchildren, Peyton Dame, Levi Fawcett, Dean Orenduff and Matthew Holland; and one sister, Shirley Duvall.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, February 6, in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel by the Rev. Ellen Comstock. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.   www.SturtevantFuneralHome.com

Susan H. Tureman, 72, of the 3800 block of New River Reach, passed away November 9, 2007, in Norfolk General Hospital.

A native of Grafton, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Geneva Henry, and the widow of Robert Lee Tureman, Sr.

She is survived by her son, Robert L. Tureman, Jr. and wife Deborah of Chesapeake, VA; two daughters, Pamela Sue Tureman of Chesapeake, VA and Sally T. Monds and husband David of Portsmouth, VA; three grandchildren, Jason Tureman, Samuel Tureman and Daniel Tureman, all of Chesapeake, VA; and three sisters, Frances West of Chesapeake and Joan Long of Portsmouth, VA and Shirley Duval of Hertford, NC.

A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel. The entombment will follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Robert B. Lewis, III went to his heavenly home on August 3, 2020. He was 88 years old. He devoted his life to his children and grandchildren. He loved painting and was an amazing artist. He retired from NNSY as an Electronic Technician in the Combat Systems and served in the US Navy.

Robert was predeceased by his wife Betty H. Lewis and his parents Robert B. Lewis, Jr. and Mary D. Lewis. Left to cherish his memory are his brother William E. Lewis (Barb), his sister Mary Anne Currey, his son Robert B. Lewis, IV (Kim), his son Steven T. Lewis, Sr. (Debbie), his daughter Terrie L. Crummett (Bill),
and his grandchildren Steven Jr. (Carmen), Ryan, Taryn, Garrett, Brendan, Madison and Halle and his great-grandchildren Vega and Ripley.

A graveside service with military honors will be held in Churchland Baptist Church Cemetery at 10 AM Saturday, August 15 conducted by Dr. Wilber Kersey, Pastor of Court Street Baptist Church.

The family suggests donations to the Alzheimer Association in his memory.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Sheryl Engleman and her fiancé, Mike Hodges; 7 grandchildren, Dwayne, Jr., Blair, Nick, Katherine, John, Randy and Geneva; 2 sisters, Frances H. West, Shirley H. Duval and her husband, Douglas, a sister-in-law, Linda Henry and brother-in-law Robert B. Lewis, III; and friend, Linda Hodges.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel with burial in Churchland Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home Wednesday from 7-8:30 p.m.

Virginia Sybert Taylor, 95, of Stephens City died Tuesday at Amerisist.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Hebron Cemetery. A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Winchester by the Rev. George Fletcher.

Mrs. Taylor was born Aug. 20, 1912, in St. Louis, daughter of Bernard Draper and Bertha Linger Stalnaker. She was a graduate of Fairmont (W.Va.) State College. She taught in West Virginia, First Baptist Church and Quarles Elementary School in Winchester and Head Start summer program, retiring after 22 years.
She was a member of Retired Senior Citizens Volunteer Program, Virginia Education Association, served as a volunteer teacher's aide in Frederick County Public Schools and member of the Apple Valley Square Dancers, The Stompers, and Over Fifty Club. She was the wife of Paul Willard Sybert Sr. and Aubrey Mathis Taylor.

Surviving are a son, Paul Willard Sybert Jr. of Endicott, N.Y.; two daughters, Sue Sybert Allen of Camden, N.C., and Beverly Ann Spaid of Stephens City; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a number of stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Willard Spaid Jr., Frederick Ritter III, Barry Spaid, Michael Fout, Christopher Ritter and Doug Duval.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.

He graduated from Handley High School, Winchester, VA class of 1961 where he was in the track and field club. He then continued to VA Tech and graduated in 1965 in Electrical Engineering and was in the Glee Club. Paul was a computer programmer, pastor, song writer of over 200 songs, and writer having completed three books. He enjoyed gardening, camping, working with wood, playing the guitar, and mostly being Papa to his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory daughter, Sarah Sybert Kelly and her husband, John; grandchildren, Tim and Alynne; sisters, Sue S. Allen, Ann Spaid and her husband Chuck; nephews, Fred Ritter, Barry Spaid; niece, Elizabeth Fout; step children, Trina Owens, Daniel Harahus; and numerous extended family.

The family would like to thank those that showed support in their time of need.

A celebration of life will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the America Stroke Association at www.strokeassociation.org. STALNAKER, O'NILE OMPS, 80 - died peacefully Monday morning, February 4th, 2008 at her daughter's home in Wayne, PA.

She was born and raised in Winchester Virginia. She lived in Center City Philadelphia, PA until 1973 when she relocated to Cape May. She graduated from Handley High School in Winchester, Virginia. Later in life she attended real estate school and became an associate broker for Coastline Realty where she worked for over 25 years. O'Nile was active in the Republican Women's Group, as well as an avid volunteer for a number of different organizations in the Philadelphia area. She was previously on the Women's Board of the Cape May Cottagers Association and a member of the Corinthian Yacht Club of Cape May.

O'Nile is predeceased by her parents Richard Alton Omps and Eva Shade Omps and her long time companion, Robert J. Hieronymus.

She is survived by he daughter, Lora Jo Dickhart of Wayne, PA and D'Arcy Amburn of Winchester, VA, and three grandchildren, Alicea Amburn, Russell Dickhart, Jr. and Charles Dickhart.

A memorial service will be held at The Macedonia Baptist Church on Lafayette & Franklin Streets, Cape May at 12:00 noon Saturday, February 9th. Memorial contributions may be made to Alex's Lemonade Stand 333 E. Lancaster Ave, Suite 414 Wynnewod, PA 19096 or to the Macedonia Baptist Church. Stuard Funeral Home Ardmore, PA.
