Barbara Jean “Barbie” King, 57,
of Spencer, died Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Roane General
Hospital, Spencer.
She was born August 25, 1960 at Ravenna, Ohio, a daughter of
the late James Lee and Nelma June Miller Lloyd. In addition
to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister,
Connie Fear.
Barbie was a homemaker, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her children, Joseph King of Warren, Ohio,
Crystal King of Spencer and Tabitha (Derik) Higginbotham
also of Spencer; two grandchildren, Caden McCoy and Emberlyn
Greenawald; ex-husband and father of her children, Robert
King of Niles, Ohio; longtime companion, Jeffrey Nichols of
Spencer; sisters, Tabitha Lloyd of Reedy, Janice Keefer of
Ravenswood and Debra Farries of Ravenna, Ohio.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday,
March 13 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with
Pastor Joe Keefer officiating. Burial will be in the Good
Hope Cemetery, Reedy. The visitation will be from 1:00 –
2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Connie L. Fear 44 of Ravenna
died Monday Feb. 6, 2006 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in
Ravenna, Ohio.
She was born Dec. 18, 1961 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio to the
late James and Nelma Lloyd. Connie has been a lifelong
Ravenna resident and enjoyed gardening, flowers and her
grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 20 yrs. Todd Fear,
daughters Megan Lloyd and Amy Fear both of Ravenna, three
grandsons James, Ricky Lee and Dominic Warner, sisters Debra
of Ravenna, Janice, Barbara and Tabitha all of W.VA.,
brother Jimmie Rettig of Ohio, nieces Connie Faye, Katie,
Crystal, Annie Holly, Emily and nephews Joey, Isaac and
Benjamin.
Calling Hours will be TONIGHT Wednesday Feb. 8, 2006 from
6-8 pm at Shorts Funeral Homes, Inc. Ravenna, Ohio where
funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday Feb. 9, 2006 with
Rev. Joseph Keefer officiating. Burial will be in Maple
Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio. (Shorts Funeral Home,

Tabitha
Ann Lloyd, 54, of Reedy, WV passed away September
18, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born October 19, 1966 in Cuyahoga Falls, OH
and was the daughter of the late James Lee and Welma
June Miller Lloyd.
She was a homemaker and a manager in the restaurant
industry. She attended church at the Shato
Tabernacle. Tabitha enjoyed crocheting, quilting,
crafting and spending time with her family. |
Left behind to cherish her
memory, are her two daughters, Holly Leigh and Ivy Brooke
Lloyd of Reedy, WV; two sisters, Debra Farres of OH and
Janice Keefer (Pastor Joe Keefer) of Sandyville, WV; and one
grandchild, Colson Alexander Carpenter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two
sisters, Barbara Jean King and Connie Lee Fear.
The family will be having a service at a later date.
Arrangements are provided by Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in
Spencer, WV.

William Denardo - Green Valley,
Former Resident of Walnut Creek
Bill was born in Burnsville, West Virginia to the late
William G. and Edith V. (nee Stalnaker) Denardo.
Young Bill was an academically and musically
talented student. As a youngster, he sang for the
San Francisco Boys Chorus, and later learned to play
trombone and keyboard. |
Bill graduated from Lowell High School in San Francisco at
age sixteen. During his young adulthood, Bill worked for The
News Call Bulletin, where he met his wife Maria. He earned
his B.A. and M.A. at CSU,SF; shortly after starting his PhD,
he was appointed Resident Coordinator for the CSU
International Program in Florence, Italy. He and his wife
raised their two children in Walnut Creek.
Bill was a fun and adventurous father who loved to take his
family on camping and road trips, where he shared his love
of great music, as well as his roguish wit and wonderful
intellect.
While Bill engaged in many business enterprises throughout
his years, he was a teacher at heart. Dedicated and
civic-minded, the volunteer pursuit Bill cherished most was
being Scoutmaster for Troop 263 in Walnut Creek, his own
son's scout troop.
Bill is survived by his wife Maria Denardo, son Frank
Denardo, daughter Martie Canterberry, son-in-law Tom
Canterberry, grandson TJ Canterberry, brother Robert DiNardo,
sister-in-law Bonnie DiNardo, niece Stephanie Weesner, and
niece Diana DiNardo.
A memorial service will be held at Nautilus Society Chapel,
6450 Camden Street, Oakland on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 3:00
p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations for chorister
scholarships can be made, in his name, to the non-profit
Golden Gate Boys Choir through their website at
www.ggbc.org. |
