Edwin H. Lancaster or Edwin Heath Lancaster 62. of Berkeley Gardens. Martinsburg WV. Died Sunday Aug. 21. In the Baker A Center where he had been a patient about two months.

Born in Weston W. Va., Oct. 2,1914, he was the son of the late John A. and Elizabeth Fisher Lancaster. He was a graduate of Weston High school and Shepherd College. Lancaster was a retired government employee with the Internal Revenue service and the Veterans Administration in Washington . Retiring in 1975. He was a member of the first Baptist Church. He was a member of the Air Guard from July 1333, until January 1935. And a Veteran of World War II serving in the Army from November 1940, to August 1945. He was a member of Martinsburg Lodge #120, Loyal order of Moose the Elks and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason.

His wife Phyllis Dolly Stevens Lancaster preceded him in death in 1973.

Surviving are two daughters Mrs. Kevin Jane Heather Keefauver, Winchester VA and Mrs. David Jill Hester Kee Martinsburg, one son Edwin Heath Lancaster of Martinsburg, two Stepsons Franklin c. Stevens jr., Inwood WV and Ronald Stevens Middletown, one step grandchild, two sisters. Mrs. Al Irene Wolfe Pinellas Park, Fla., and Mrs William Margaret Pratt Weston WV. One brother Joe W. Lancaster Ravenswood WV. And a number of nieces and nephews.

Services were conducted Wednesday Aug. 24, at 11 at the Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg w. Va., by Rev Robert Yates his pastor with interment in Rosedale Cemetery.

Joe Woodrow Lancaster, 89, of Vallonia and formerly of Ravenswood, W.Va., passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour.

Mr. Lancaster retired in 1983 from Kaiser Aluminum in Ravenswood, W.Va., where he had worked for 25 years.

Born Jan. 2, 1923, in Weston, W.Va., he was the son of Elizabeth J. Fisher and John A. Lancaster. On Feb. 7, 1950, in Weston, W.Va., he married Opal V. Jarvis, who preceded him in death on May 11, 2002. In 2007, he moved to Indiana.

Survivors include a daughter, Anita Joan Lancaster Weller, Vallonia; sister, Margaret "Peg" Lancaster Pratt-Weston, West Virginia; grandchildren, Kevin Jett, Katherine "Kitty" Burks and Kraig McConihay; 11 stepgrandchildren; and great-grandchildren, Caroline McConihay, Cooper McConihay and Mia Grace Burks.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one daughter, Janet Susan Lancaster Jett; one son, Johnathan A. Lancaster; two brothers, Edwin and Earl Lancaster; and one sister, Irene Lancaster Olsen.

The Rev. Kenneth Miller will conduct graveside services at 11 a.m. Friday at Broad Run Baptist Cemetery in Jane Lew, W.Va.

Memorial contributions may be given to Covered Bridge Health Campus in care of Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia. Arrangements were handled by Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia.

Margaret Emily Pratt, 89, of Weston went to be with her Lord and Savior after an extended illness on Monday, June 15, 2020. She passed in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by loving family, and under the compassionate care of WV Hospice and several wonderful caregivers.

She was born and raised in Lewis County on July 29, 1930, a daughter of the late John A. and Elizabeth J. Fisher Lancaster.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was greeted at Heavens Gates by twin great-granddaughters: Prezlea Jean and Jaylen Loretta Pratt; three brothers: Edwin, Earl, and Joe Lancaster; and one sister, Irene Olsen.

On September 9, 1951, Margaret married the love of her life, William Doyle Pratt. Margaret and William built their life together in their hometown of Weston where they shared the last 68 wonderful years of marriage and raising their son.

Fond memories will forever be held with her husband, William D. Pratt; one son, William R. Pratt and wife, Carla, of Weston; two grandsons: John William Pratt and wife, Suzanna, and Joseph Edward Pratt and wife, Jamie, both of Weston; three great-grandchildren: Beau Matthew, Emily Rose, and Mason Andrew Pratt; and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret graduated from Weston High School and was Baptist by faith. For the majority of her life Margaret cared for her home and family. She was an extremely hard worker no matter the task. While William was at work she completed the daily chores on the farm as well as the chores around the house. Margaret always kept a garden both floral and vegetable and enjoyed canning the produce for future meals. She will forever be remembered as a phenomenal cook. A memory her family treasures is of "the best spread" setting on the table after a long day in the hay field. Margaret cherished her family. She enjoyed the time spent with them working jigsaw, word search, and crossword puzzles. Other activities Margaret enjoyed were crocheting and playing Rummy at the Lewis County Senior Center where she was an active member for many years.

Family and friends will gather at Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service located at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2020. Graveside services will be held at Broad Run Church Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2020 with Pastor Wease Day officiating. After the marriage of George and Rachel, both George and Rachel are difficult to track in the historical records. There is no Census Record that has the couple together with any of their children.

In the 1920 Census, sons Cecil and Harold are living with their paternal grandparents. Daughter Ruby is living in Gilmer Co. as the adopted daughter of James M Moore. It is unknown where son John Stewart Fisher is.

The couple is together until, their last child Ira Otis Fisher is conceived, around the beginning of 1922.

Rachel is tracked in the historical documents after 1922 by her marriage in 1928 to Roy Ralph Hamrick.

George, on the other hand, drops off the face of the earth. I searched through all death certificates in WV after 1922 for both George and Stuart/Stewart Fisher, with no luck. He does not appear in the WWII Registration database, which he should have been registered for. Does this mean he died somewhere other than WV prior to 1942? I also checked the SSDI for any Fisher with a similar birth date and there were no George or Stuart/Stewarts that died with a birth date even close to that of this George's.

Some family trees on ancestry.com have him dead on Feb 17, 1973 in Buckhannon, Upshur Co., WV. Since the death certificates for WV in 1973 are not available yet on the WV Culture website (as of Jan 2023), I will have to wait to confirm this.

James L. "Jim" Fisher Sr., 62, of Orangeburg, died Monday at The Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Sumter, with the Rev. Roger Dodds officiating.

Mr. Fisher was born in Brown County, Ind., a son of the late Cecil R. Fisher and Ruby Bell Stephenson Fisher. He was a member of Wesley Grove United Methodist Church in Cordova and the Disabled American Veterans. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force as a staff sergeant, with 20 years of service, and was a Vietnam veteran.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Martha Vermelle Marshall Fisher; two sons, James L. "Jamie" Fisher Jr. and Kevin M. Fisher, both of Orangeburg; a daughter, Lori F. Dunlap of North Charleston; two sisters, Anna B. Coyle of Unionville, Ind., and Joyce Spencer of Jackson, Ky.; and four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home in Orangeburg. Friends may call at the residence of Bud and Linda Bradham, 4670 DuBose Siding Road, Sumter.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or a charity of one's choice.

Elmore-Hill-McCreight Funeral Home in Sumter is in charge of arrangements.

Sharon Chastain, 60, of Seymour, Indiana passed away August 31, 2022, at Schneck Medical Center. She was born on November 12, 1961, to the late, Fred and Joyce (Spencer) Scharbrough.

Sharon was a member of the Christ Covenant Church and loved the Lord. She enjoyed cooking, tasting different foods, coloring, and singing.

She is survived by her three brothers, Tim Scharbrough, Doug Scharbrough, and Bryan Scharbrough;

Anna Barbara (Fisher) Coyle, 79, of Unionville, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at IU Health Bloomington Hospice House. She was born on June 29, 1939 in Fortville, Indiana.

Anna graduated from Fortville High School in 1956 [stet]. Anna married Mitchell Coyle on November 14, 1959, and they shared 59 years of marriage together. She worked in various assembly line positions with RCA, Harmon Motive, and General Electric. Anna was a devoted homemaker who cherished her family dearly.

Anna is survived by her husband, Mitchell �Mitch� Coyle; children, Eric Coyle, Curtis Coyle (Dawn), Vicki Coyle, Melinda Jones, and John F. Coyle; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and daughter, Donna Coyle.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4155 S. Old State Road 37, Bloomington. Michael Wesley Jones, 18, of Bloomington died Tuesday evening from injuries received in an auto accident north of Bloomington.

He was born on March 4, 1991 in Bloomington the son of Klark Tasso Jones and Melinda (Coyle) Jones. He was a 2009 graduate of Bloomington High School North and was employed by Curry Auto Center.

Although he played some sports as a youth at Unionville, he truly had a love for cars and enjoyed working with them.

Dawn Ann Coyle, age 48 of Bedford, passed away Sunday morning, September 8, 2013 at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital. She was born in Indianapolis on December 11, 1964 to Mitchell and Anna Barbara Fisher Coyle.

Dawn is survived by daughter Megan Nicole Coyle of Bloomington; daughter Brittany Morgan Ward of Unionville; grand children Hailey, Austin and Kyndall Landis, Johnathon, and Hayden Ward, Madilynn and Savannah Bullock, and Sophia and Cali Jill; fianc� Doug Bennett of Bedford, and his daughter Robin Yazel and husband Ryan of South
Bend; brother Eric Eugene Coyle of Evansville, brother Curtis Wesley Coyle and wife Dena of Indianapolis, sister Vicki Michelle Coyle of Greenwood, sister Melinda Carol Jones of Unionville, brother John Franklin Coyle of Unionville, and parents Mitchell and Anna Coyle also of Unionville. Dawn is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Taighlor Breann Anderson.

Harold Byron Fisher, 74, died Thursday, May 4, in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital in Suffolk. -

He was a native of Weston, W. Va., and was a chaplain for the West Virginia National Guard during World War II. He retired as pastor of Windsor Baptist Church and was pastor emeritus for Western Branch Baptist Church, Suffolk. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Main Street, Suffolk, and was a graduate of Alderson-Broaddus College in West Virginia and the Southern Baptist Seminary. He served as a pastor in West Virginia, Florida, North Carolina and Virginia. He was also a member of the Virginia Baptist General Board and past monitor for Blackwater Baptist Association. He was a member of Crewe Masonic Lodge No. 123 and an honorary life member of Windsor Puritan Club.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Walker Fisher; and one sister, Ruby F. Cathers of Baltimore. A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church, Main Street, by the Revs. O. R. Hardy, Wilfred Gat-ling and Charles W. Thompson.

Entombment will be in Meadow-brook Memorial Gardens. The body will be taken to the residence this morning. Hill Funeral Home is in charge.

She was born March 9, 1920 in Jane Lew, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Robert Leland and Nora Mae Wimer Walker. She was married September 8, 1940 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to her beloved husband of 48 � years, Rev. Harold B. Fisher. Harold went to his heavenly home May 4, 1989. Also preceding her in death was one sister, Christine Jeffries and husband Fred Jeffries of Jane Lew, WV;

brothers, James Woodrow Walker and wife, Lavaughn Walker of Daytona Beach, FL and Burhl Leland Walker of Akron, OH; and one dear aunt, Miss Ruth Wimer of Weston, WV.

ary Ann was a 1938 graduate of Jane Lew High School. She attended the Conservatory of Music for one year in Miami, FL. She was an organist, pianist, choir director and Sunday School teacher for the churches her husband served as pastor. The Fishers served churches in WV, FL, NC and VA and they were both members of First Baptist Church in Suffolk. Mrs. Fisher also worked as a night clerk for Econo Lodge and the Suffolk Elon Home for Children as a substitute chaperone. After the death of her husband she served as an organist at Wilroy and Windsor Baptist churches.

She is survived by three nephews and their wives: Fred Jeffries, Jr. and Mollie of Hunt, TX; James Walker and Ruth of Henry, VA; Robert Walker and Jennifer of Naples, FL; one great nephew, Adam Walker and one great niece Kelly Walker, also from Naples, FL; many nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was thankful that God had blessed her with good health and also two dear friends: JoAnne Joyner and Melanie Beale. She often said how nice the friendships and love of their families, neighbors and numerous other friends gave her great comfort and love since the passing away of her beloved husband Harold.

Services will be held Friday, August 3, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at the Chapel at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Michael Turner officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum. Viewing will be held one hour before the service. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com

I originally thought that these were two different people. No, they are the same.

What is consistent is the birth month and day on the historical documents. December 25.

On his WWII Registration, the date of Dec 25, 1915 is used under the name Robert Lee Fisher. Here he added on a couple years to his age.

Later in life, the CA Death Index and SSDI both have his birth name of John Stewart Fisher and birth date of Dec 25, 1917.

Robert Lee Fisher Jr. passed away peacefully after a short illness at his home in Antioch surrounded by his family on January 28, 2003.

He is survived by his devoted wife Laura, of 40 years, his daughters Victoria Lopez and husband Rodolfo of Antioch, Rozlyn Navarro and husband George of Oakley, and granddaughters Alicia and Natalie Navarro. He is also survived by his mother Hope Garcia and brother Jim Fisher of Manteca and sister Dolores Suarez of San Leandro.

He was a crane operator at USS Posco for 34 years retiring in 1998. He then worked at Oakhurst Country Club until the time of his illness. He was an avid golfer who also enjoyed the 49ers, hunting, music, traveling, and spending time with his family especially with his granddaughters.

A visitation will be held Friday, January 31st from 4:00 P.M. till 7:30 P.M. with a rosary service at 7:30 P.M. at Higgins Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 1st at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Rosary Church. A private urnment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery.

James Allen Fisher the 2nd known to friends as "Jimmy" has been called to the heavens on the night of March 7th, 2018 at the age of 51. As he was found deceased in Stockton California.

Jimmy has left us with love and many great memories for he was a beautiful soul. He loved family and enjoying camping, fishing, listening to oldies, making people laugh and hanging out with friends and family. He was born in San Leandro, California May 23, 1966.

Jimmy's Spirit lives on through his family: His wife Martha. His children Eva, Jessica, James and Mary.

His grandchildren Adrian, Ariana, and Jah'serri his parents Verna and James his sister and brother Angela and Bobby we are all saddened and Jimmy will not only live in our hearts but in our memories. We will be celebrating his life on April 15,2018 in Brentwood Ca.

Robert �Bobby� Fisher beloved Son, Brother, Cousin, Uncle, and Friend passed away on January 15, 2023, unexpectedly.

He was born on August 18, 1967, in San Leandro CA to his mother and father Verna & Jim Fisher. The youngest of 3 children, he adored his sister Angela and his brother Jimmy Fisher who preceded him in death.

He loved spending time with his family and friends, always looking to have fun. He will always be remembered as a loving, caring, and understanding person who was always smiling.

You can find him on a Sunday Morning watching his Raiders or in the spring attending old school car shows and making new friends everywhere he went. Bobby could turn your day of darkness into light. He loved everyone genuinely and unconditionally without judgment. If you needed a laugh, he provided it. If you needed a shoulder, he was there. His presence will truly be missed in this lifetime.

Gene Auville, 80, resident of Homewood at Martinsburg since 2006, formerly of Bowie and Baltimore, MD, passed away Monday morning at his residence.

He was born in Weston, WV, son of the late Baxter and Emma (Fisher) Auville. Gene was twice married, first to Paulette Cole in Baltimore, MD in 1966 and then to Mary (Batten) Rivers of Charleston, SC in 1998.

Surviving are his 3 sons to Paulette Cole: John (Amy), Marc (Jennifer) and Ross (Nicole); 4 grandchildren: Kurt, Juliet, Brendan and John Ross and his wife Mary Ann �Maggie� of Homewood at Martinsburg.

Mr. Auville was a 1953 graduate of Weston High School, WV and served in the United States Navy from 1955-1959. He was a 1962 graduate of West Virginia University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and in 1969 Gene received his Juris Doctor degree from the University Of Maryland School Of Law.

He was employed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for 3 years and then retired in 1994 from the U.S. Patent and Trade Office.

Mr. Auville interests were his family and friends. He enjoyed corresponding with people via e-mail, reading, gardening, and traveling. Meeting and talking with people with different backgrounds was a delight to him. One of the highlights of his life was a three-month trip to Europe he took in 1962, sailing from New York City aboard a Dutch freighter. He had no reservations in any of the countries he visited and just used tourist offices in the different areas to schedule lodging.

His second European trip was one that he took in 2011 with his family. They visited Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, France and England. He enjoyed seeing the birthplace of Franz Kafka, one of his favorite authors, and hearing a concert in Vienna, Austria. He also liked a cross-country trip he and his wife took in 1999, driving from Maryland to British Columbia and marveling over the desert cacti in full bloom and the beauty of the Pacific coast, as well as later trips they took to New York City, Chicago, New Orleans, Charleston, Boston and Prince Edward Island.

Friends will be received from 2pm until the 3pm, memorial service, Sunday, November 6, 2016 at The Bice Chapel at Homewood at Martinsburg, with Rev. Jerry McCuller Jr. and Rev.Dr. Harry Spaeth officiating. Private inurnment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.

Lakeland � Wilma Louise McClung passed away at the age of 94 on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Lakeland Regional Health Center in Lakeland, FL.

She was born on June 23, 1923, in Weston, West Virginia, where she grew up on a dairy farm and graduated with an education degree from Alderson Broaddus University.

She was married to Dana Dixon McClung who preceded her in death. Together they had five children: Dana Sue Miller of Morrisville, NY, Frank Dixon McClung (deceased), Donald Lee McClung of Lakeland, FL, Walter Leslie McClung (deceased) and David Wayne McClung of Dover, DE. Wilma also has five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Wilma raised her family in Greensboro, MD, and Milford, DE, where she taught elementary school. After retiring from teaching in Delaware, she moved to West Virginia and continued her teaching there.
She was a member of the Broad Run Baptist Church in Jane Lew, WV. She also attended American Baptist Church of Lakeland. Finally retiring in 1997, she moved to Lakeland as a winter resident of Woodbrook Estates. At Woodbrook Estates, Wilma was a three-time president of the Shuffleboard club. She remained active in Shuffleboard winning one tournament this past season. She liked to cruise and went on her dream �Christmas Cruise� this past December.

Wilma participated in several West Virginia Senior Olympic games and was awarded Miss Congeniality in 2009 and was the 2nd place female in 2010.

She remained active making pies for the Mother�s Day luncheon just this past weekend. She also had an annual �Wilma�s Waffle� event for the residents of Woodbrook Estates. Last year 49 people attended.

Wilma�s request for cremation has been honored.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday May 26, 2018 at Heath Funeral Chapel, 328 S. Ingraham Ave., Lakeland, FL 33801.

Dana Sue Miller, 79, of Old County Rd., passed away December 20, 2022 at her home.

She was born on November 5, 1943 in Weston, WV, a daughter of Dana and Wilma Fisher McClung. She was a 1961 graduate of Milford Sr. High School, received her Bachelor�s degree in Secondary Education from Alderson Broaddus University in 1965, and her Master�s degree from Colgate University. On June 12, 1964, Dana married Nathan M. Miller, Jr. in the Barnesville Baptist Church, Barnesville, MD.

Dana started her teaching career in the Gaithersburg, Maryland, Jr. High School. Moving to New York in 1973 she taught 7th grade general science at the Morrisville-Eaton Central School District for 30 years.

She was also a former columnist for the Oneida Daily Dispatch and a freelance reporter for the Hamilton-Morrisville Tribune.

She loved music and sang with the Sweet Adelines, performed in plays and the chorus in Morrisville-Eaton and the Cazenovia Baptist Church. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was also very active with the 4-H summer program for many years.

Surviving is her beloved husband of over 58 years, Nathan; a son Nathan M. (Calla) Miller, III of Morrisville; brothers, Donald McClung of Lakeland, FL and David McClung of Dover, DE; grandchildren, Amanda Miller of Spokane, WA; Mitchell (Hannah) Miller of Gold Bar, WA; sister in law, Cathy Miller of Earlville, NY; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Les McClung.

Memorial Services will be held in the Morrisville Community Church in the spring of 2023. Interment will be in the Village View Cemetery, Morrisville.

Frank Dixon McClung, 60, of Weirton died Friday December 7, 2007 at his home.

He was born December 11, 1946, in Greensboro, MD, a son of Wilma Fisher McClung of Florida, and the late Dana Dixon McClung.

Frank was a retired United States Air Force Veteran and an employee of the Seven Eleven Corporation.

Surviving besides his mother, are his brothers, Donald Lee McClung of San Antonio TX, and David Wayne McClung of Millsboro, DE; his sister, Dana Sue Miller of Morrisville, NY.

A service will be held at the Arlington National Cemetery, at the convenience of his family.

Services for Walter Leslie (Les) McClung will be tomorrow night at 8 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 219 S. Walnut St., Milford.

Mr. McClung, on foot because his van was disabled, was walking north on Delaware 1 near the Slaughter Beach overpass Saturday night when he was hit by an automobile, according to Delaware State Police. He was dead on arrival at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford.

Mr. McClung, 29, of 509 Parson Thorn Apartments. Milford, was an instructor at Delaware Technical and Community College, Terry Campus. He also taught music at the Pierce Music Shop, Dover.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Hart McClung; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dana McClung of Milford and Jane Lew, W.Va.; three brothers, Frank D. of Cannon Air Force Base, N.M., Donald L. of Kaiserslaughten, Germany, and David W. of Prime Hook Beach; and a sister, Dana Sue Miller of Morrisville, N.Y.

Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow night. Burial will be Thursday morning at 10 in Broad Run Baptist Cemetery, Jane Lew.

MARINA - Jack E. Fisher, age 78, resident of Marina since 1961, passed away May 7, 2010 at Pacific Grove Convalescent Hospital.

Jack was born August 19, 1931 in West Virginia to Hugh and Nola Fisher. Jack served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and was retired from PG&E as a welder after 38 years of service.

Jack enjoyed hunting and fishing, and serving at Calvary Baptist Church in Marina for over 40 years.

Mr. Fisher is survived by his wife of 59 years, June Fisher of Marina; daughter, Linda (Ted) McMurray of Valley Springs; grandsons, Trevor and Chad and great-grandchildren, Haley and Brady.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Calvary Baptist Church in Marina. Burial will follow services at Monterey City Cemetery. Memorials in memory of Jack may be made to: Calvary Baptist Church, 160 Seaside Court, Marina, CA 93933.

Gene E. Fisher, a resident of Belmont, Michigan, and former resident of Highland Twp., went to be with his Heavenly Father when he died at his daughter's home on Friday, August 25, 2006, surrounded by family.

Mr. Fisher was born August 19, 1931 in Richmond, West Virginia, when Hugh Dunnington Fisher and Nola May (Jarvis) Fisher were blessed with the birth of twin sons.

He is survived by his daughter, Sherry (Peter) Garchow of Belmont; and grandchildren, Janelle, Eric, Jeneen, and Brett Garchow. He is also survived by his twin brother, Jack (June) Fisher of Marina, CA.

He was preceded in death by Gloria, his beloved wife of 45 years in 1999, and a brother, Kenneth Fisher.

Gene was retired from working in construction as a journeyman plumber for over 40 years. Gene, always the gentleman, had a lifelong love of his family, the out-of-doors and Northern Michigan. He enjoyed the sights and sounds of autumn as much as the deer hunting.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Funeral Service was held in Milford, Michigan on August 28

She was born March 28,1936, in Buckhannon, W.Va., where she lived until age 13. She lived in Elyria since 1963. Mrs. Krieg was employed by the Elyria City Schools for six years as an aide working with the handicapped. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, South Amherst.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Edwin A. Krieg; sons Michael J. Marquardt, Robin E. Marquardt and Hal Marquardt, all of Elyria, and Timothey B. Krieg of Brownhelm Township; daughters Denise Shaffstall and Bambi Ehasz, both of Elyria, and Cindy Zapotsky of Toledo; and 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Barnard and Thelma (nee Fisher) McCall.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at St. John United Church of Christ, 416 Leonard St., South Amherst. The Rev. Janet Sprague, pastor of Birmingham United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, South Amherst. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John United Church of Christ, 416 Leonard St., South Amherst 44001. Hempel Funeral Home, Amherst, is handling arrangements.
