Lewis French White, 85, of
Mannington, departed this life on Friday (Dec. 22, 2006) at
Wishing Well Health Center in Fairmont. He had been battling
cancer.
Lewis was born May 5, 1921, near Huttonsville, the son of
French and Lina Pritt White. He is survived by his devoted
wife of 65 years, Mildred Harker White.
Lewis retired from Peabody Coal Co., where he worked in
Rachel. He loved to hunt, fish and visit with his friends.
Lewis never knew a stranger. He made friends with everyone
he met. Mostly, he loved his family, and he cherished
spending precious time with them during his final days.
Lewis is survived by his wife and two children, Frank (wife,
Carol) of Mannington and Beverly Hearn (husband, Jim) of
Logan, Utah; seven grandchildren, Debbie Edwards (husband,
Ken) of Ogden, Utah, Tammy Beutler (husband, Paul) of
Providence, Utah; Diana Perez (husband, Fernando) of Logan,
Utah, Robert Hearn (wife, Debbie) of Logan, Utah, J.B. White
(wife, Sandy) of Morgantown, Travis White (wife, Katie) of
Morgantown, and Jessica White of Mannington. He also leaves
behind 13 great grandchildren and four great great
grandchildren. He also is survived by his brother, Eddie
White, of Mannington.
Lewis was preceded in death by a daughter, Lucy; his parents; siblings,
Bernand White, Bill White, Holt White, Rissie McClintock,
George White, Mabel Stewart, Hazel Quinbey and Walter White;
and one grandchild, Jason Hearn.
Lewis was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints in Mannington. Friends and family may call
at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington from 2 to 9 p.m.
Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home
at 11 a.m. Wednesday with President Richard Waldron
officiating. Burial will follow at Mannington Memorial Park
Cemetery. |

Mildred Lucille Harker White,
85, of Mannington departed this life on Friday (June 27,
2008) at Wishing Well Health Center in Fairmont.
She was born May 20, 1923, at Fairview, the daughter of the
late James and Martha Parker Harker.
She is survived by two children, Frank White and his wife
Carol of Mannington, and Beverly Hearn and her husband Jim
of Logan, Utah; seven grandchildren, Debbie Edwards and
husband Ken of Kaysville, Utah, Tammy Beutler and husband
Paul of Millville, Utah, Diana Perez and husband Fernando of
Logan, Utah, Robert Hearn and wife Debbie of Logan, Utah,
J.B. White and wife Sandy of Morgantown, Travis White and
wife Katie of Morgantown, and Jessica White, currently
serving as a missionary in Washington. She also leaves
behind 14 great-grandchildren and seven
great-great-grandchildren.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years,
Lewis; a daughter, Lucy; her parents; and her siblings,
Beatrice Russell, Simon Harker, Milford “Bill” Harker, Alice
Parker, Zana Harker, John Harker, Ralph “Pete” Harker, Ginny
Toothman and James “Tinker” Harker.
Mildred was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latterday Saints in Mannington. Friends and family may call
at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington,
Monday from 1-3 p.m. and from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will
be held on Tuesday at noon in the funeral home with
President David Underwood officiating. Burial will follow at
Mannington Memorial Park |

Beverly
Ann White Hearn, 71 died Sunday March 20, 2016
following a long and courageous battle with
declining health. She passed away peacefully at home
surrounded by her family.
Beverly was born on February 2, 1945 in Fairview,
West Virginia, the daughter of Lewis and Mildred
White. She was one of three children. Her older
sister Lucy died in infancy. She and her brother
Frank had a close and loving relationship. Beverly
was raised and educated in Mannington, West
Virginia.
She met the love of her life, Jimmy, at a country
dance. That was the beginning of a three-year
courtship and fifty-four wonderful years of
marriage. |
She was a devoted and loving
wife and mother blessed with five children, Deborah, Tammy,
Diana, Jason and Robert. After a decade of living in the
West Virginia hills, they relocated to the majestic
mountains of Utah. She loved and enjoyed many friends and
never knew a stranger. She was always up for conversation
with anyone but particularly those who had roots in West
Virginia.
Beverly was an active member of the LDS church and loved
serving the Lord in many positions especially her many
callings in the primary. She was often heard sharing her
true and everlasting testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ
to her family and especially her grandchildren.
She enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables and fruits,
especially green beans and peaches. She enjoyed baking and
crafting. She loved cardinals and had many cardinal
figurines in her collection.
She enjoyed her ten years working as a personal care giver
at Saint Barbara Nursing Home in Monongah, West Virginia and
after moving to Utah, she worked more than twenty years at
the Logan Regional Hospital Laboratory. In her spare time,
she was the neighborhood Avon lady.
She is survived by her husband James William Hearn, son
Robert (Debbie) Hearn, daughters, Deborah (Ken) Edwards,
Tammy (Paul) Beutler, and Diana (Gabriel) Perez, and brother
Frank (Carol)White along with 12 grandchildren, 18 great
grandchildren and her dog Abby, who was always by her side.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Mildred
White and her sister Lucy Lucille White and son Jason
William Hearn.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 24, 2016 at
1:00 pm in the Logan LDS 13th Ward Chapel at 195 South 100
East. Friends may visit with the Hearn family on Wednesday
evening from 6-8 pm at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East
Center in Logan and on Thursday at the LDS 13th Ward Chapel
from 11:30-12:30 am. Burial will be in the Logan City
Cemetery. You may send condolences to the Hearn family at
