LITTLE
ROCK — Terri Dianne Poposky and John Irvin Henderson
Jr. exchanged marriage vows at 11 a.m. Saturday,
Sept. 15, at the Villa Marre. The Rev. Tina Brown
officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Carolyn and Jack Wilson
of Cabot. Her grandparents are the late Anna and
Charles Wilson of Proctorville, Ohio, and the late
Mary and Clifford Carico of Huntington, W.Va.
The groom is the son of Sylvia and John Henderson
Sr. of Mount Ida. His grandparents are the late
Aurela and Weaver Noles of Plainview, the late
Minnie Henderson of Fordyce and the late Lois and
W.C. Henderson of Bryant.
White paper lanterns decorated the outdoor ceremony.
Music was by vocalist Diana Brasher and guitarists
Brett Wilson and Jacob Huddleston. |
Given in marriage by her son,
Brett Michael Wilson, the bride wore an ivory satin gown
embellished with hand-beaded antique gold lace. The bodice
had a square neckline and cap sleeves and the skirt extended
to a chapel-length train. Her fingertip-lengthveil and
blusher were trimmed with a corded edge. She carried a
clutch bouquet of cream and champagne roses and pale pink
spray roses.
Guests were seated by Wendell Benevides of Jacksonville and
Brett Wilson of North Little Rock.
A reception at the Villa Marre followed the ceremony. Guest
tables were centered with small arrangements of cream,
champagne, and pink roses with bear grass. Assisting were
Stephanie Poposky, Paula Baxter, Kelli Mills, Tim Troup,
Monie Ballard, Traci Sheridan and Caton Garner.
The bride graduated magna cum laude and with a bachelor’s
degree in chemistry from the University of Arkansas at Pine
Bluff. She is senior chemist at Arkansas Public Health
Laboratories.
The groom has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from
the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. He is a UNIX
systems engineer/architect at Acxiom Corporation.
After a wedding trip to West Virginia, the couple will make
their home in North Little Rock. |

Brett
Michael Wilson, 32, left this reality on June 22,
2022. He was also known as Brett Khullar and Brett
Slammin. Brett was born in Pine Bluff, AR on
2/27/1990, and later lived in Little Rock, Maumelle,
and North Little Rock.
Schools he attended were Pulaski Heights, Children's
House Montessori, Crystal Hill, Immaculate Heart of

DAVID
ARNIM WILEY of Hurricane, WV, passed away March 29,
2023, on his 76th birthday.
David was a loving husband and father, a good
friend, a man of great faith, and a complete
goofball.
David attended Barboursville High School and then
Huntington East High School. He played on his high
school basketball and football teams, and was known
for his sense of humor and impish impulse to prank.
After a year at Marshall University spent mostly
playing pool in the Student Center, he was “invited
not to return in the fall.” He was drafted into the
military five times, each time being honorably
excused from service for the same medical condition. |
As his children came of age
David was actively involved in the PTA at their elementary
school, serving as its president for seven years. When he
resigned, having had more than enough of the organization,
they rewarded him with a lifetime membership. David was a
successful entrepreneur and founded Finance and Insurance
Specialists, serving as its chief executive for many years
before finally selling the company. Later in life David
indulged his love of woodworking, making intricate wooden
boxes which he enjoyed giving as gifts. One remaining in the
garage includes a handwritten note to a favorite grandchild,
“I tolerate you!!!”
David was preceded in death by his parents Paris Arnim Wiley
and Mary Elizabeth Carico, and is survived by his wife
Beverly, brother Butch, four children David (and spouse
Elaine), Marc (Kim), Beth (Ammon), and Ronnie (Ashley), and
19 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints on Friday, April 7, 2023, at 11am.
There will be a brief viewing before beginning at 10am. The
building is located at 5640 Shawnee Dr, Huntington, WV
25705. |

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 14,
2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington. Burial
will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
He was born on December 21, 1918, in Huntington, a son of
the late George and Carlida Withrow Carico. His devoted,
loving wife of 70 years, Martha Anderson Carico preceded him
in death in December 2007.
In addition to his parents and wife, Willard was preceded in
death by four brothers, Clifford, Charles, Arry Cleveland,
and Hershel Carico, and two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Carico
Wiley and Verna Carico Crockett.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Arthur and Sharon
Carico of Lutz, FL; |
two grandchildren, Kimberley and
her husband William Lanius, and Michael Carico, all of FL; on
sister Margaret Carico Burner, and a host of nieces,
nephews, and friends.
Willard retired from the C&O Railroad in 1978 with 42 years
of dedicated service and also served in the US Navy as a
welder during WWII. He was a lifelong member of the Church
of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he held many
callings within the church. Willard was the first seventy to
be ordained in the Huntington Skate Center and he and his
wife served as missionaries at the Washington, DC, Temple.

Of Note: Gary Lee
Carico and Arthur Edwin Carico were born in 1946 and 1949.
However, they do not appear with their parents in the 1950
Census. I suspect, and I could be wrong, that Gary and
Arthur were adopted. I searched for both Gary and
Arthur Carico in the 1950 Census, with no luck. There
are too many possibilities just searching by first name,
especially if Gary and Arthur came from different families
and were not blood brothers.
For some
reason, son Gary is only mentioned in his mother's obituary,
not his father's. In both their obituaries the
children of Gary (their living grandchildren Gary, Jr and
Helena), are not mentioned at all. I suspect that the
Gary and his parents were estranged.
Also of note: Between Gary Sr.
and Gary Jr. there is a point where the marriages after 1985
in Florida could be either father or son. They both
had multiple marriages only lasting a few years. With
Gary, Sr's marriage to Ella Mae Albert Winfree..... he was
still married to her while married to Diana Sue Stevens. |

Florida Actor Who Played a Supporting Role in the Jan. 6
Capitol Attack Gets Probation
https://lawandcrime.com/u-s-capitol-breach/florida-actor-who-played-a-supporting-role-in-the-jan-6-capitol-attack-gets-probation/
Accessed March 2, 2025 |

By Marisa Sarnoff Mar 11th, 2022
An actor and photographer from Florida who recorded himself
yelling “Hey Nancy, go f**k yourself!” from a media tower
outside the Capitol on Jan. 6 has been sentenced to two
years of probation.
Michael Aaron Carico, 33, had climbed up the tower and
recorded himself singing the national anthem before shouting
the obscenity about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).
He was also seen on surveillance video inside the Capitol
Rotunda, and posted pictures of himself to social media that
showed him in the middle of the mob of Donald Trump
supporters who would eventually overrun police and swarm the
Capitol in an attempt to block the certification of Joe
Biden‘s win in the 2020 presidential election.
Carico pleaded guilty in December to the misdemeanor charge
of parading, demonstrating, or picketing in the Capitol
building.
In a letter to U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly in support
of his sentencing memo, Carico apologized to “the residents
of DC” and expressed “remorse for the language and comment”
about Pelosi.
Carico, whose IMDB profile includes credits for two movies
in 2021, said that he has lost friends and jobs as a result
of his decision to join the pro-Trump mob that day.
“I have received death threats through voice mail, lost most
of my friends in the realm of film, lost my agent, manager,
lost my career and am on the verge of having to do something
different altogether because of how many news articles there
are on my name,” he said in the letter. “For an actor his
name is everything. My name is shattered and I only have
myself to blame.”
Carico also said that he had gone to the Capitol to “take a
few high end pictures/videos of the protest and sell them to
a news outlet for side income.”
Prosecutors, however, weren’t buying it.
Carico “expressed remorse only in anticipation of this
sentencing,” prosecutors wrote in the DOJ’s sentencing memo,
noting that while at the Capitol, he had called for a
“second wave” of a rioters, filmed violence against police,
referred to officers as “fucking traitors. He had also
deleted many of the photos and videos he took on Jan. 6, the
memo said.
Prosecutors also allege that Carico lied in his pre-sentence
interview about his marijuana use.
“Only after he was confronted with contrary statements he
made to the FBI did Carico request for the pre-sentence
report to be amended to reflect that he had used marijuana
shortly before his arrest,” the government’s sentencing memo
said. “Carico’s lack of candor to the pre-sentence
interviewer calls into question whether other statements he
made were truthful or simply self-interested.”
Prosecutors had asked for 30 days in jail, three years of
probation, and 60 hours of community service. Carico had
asked for a sentence of probation only, for a maximum of two
years.
In the end, Kelly, a Trump appointee, granted Carico’s
request and sentenced him to two years of probation and a
$500 fine, in addition to $500 in restitution toward the
$1.5 million in damage done to the Capitol and surrounding
area. |
