  Regarding full birth and death dates for Nancy.   Full birth and death dates given above are in multiple family trees on ancestry and familysearch.  None are documented.  What is known, is Nancy's birth date, which is Jul 1861 based on the 1900 Census. 

I did find these exact dates in a book published online called The Carrico Family by Homer Edwin Carrico. No source is given in this book either.  This book has many many errors and should NOT be considered a reliable source.

George A. May, Jr 80 of Langley, died early Sunday morning at Our Lady of the Way Hospital, Martin, following a short illness. Born August 20, 1902, he was the son of the late Samuel B. and Elizabeth Dingus May. He was a retired engineer at the Warco compression station of the Columbia Gas Company and was a member of the James W. Alley Masonic Lodge, F&AM at Wayland.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Snoddy May; one son Don G May of MT Vernon IL; a daughter, Mrs Pauline Ousley of Langley; one sister Mrs Josephine Webb of Oak Ridge TN four grandchildren and two great grand-children.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 pm Tuesday in the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home by Rev. Weyman McGuire, and burial was made in the May Cemetery at Langley.

Pauline May Ousley, age 95, of Langley, KY, widow of Herbert Ousley, passed away Monday, November 23, 2020 at her residence.

She was born May 20, 1925 in Langley, KY, the daughter of the late George A. and Louise Snoddy May.

She was a member of the May Memorial United Methodist Church, the Graceway United Methodist Church, a graduate of Maytown High School, a talented needleworker, quilter, baker, avid reader and she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her son; Gary Randall (Bonnie) Ousley, Langley, KY, granddaughter; Elizabeth Ousley Smith, grandson; Gary Christopher Ousley, great grandson; Christopher David Ousley, three nephews; Byron, David and Todd May.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her brother; Donald May.
Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, November 29, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Roy Harlow officiating. Burial will follow in the May Cemetery, Langley, KY, with visitation from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Gary Randall Ousley, age 74, of Langley, Kentucky, husband of Bonnie Prater Ousley, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the Knott County Health and Rehabilitation Center, Hindman, Kentucky.

Gary (also known as by many as Randy) was born January 30, 1947 in Martin, Kentucky. He was the son of late Herbert and Pauline May Ousley and the grandson of George and Louise Snoddy May, all of Langley.

As a young man, he attended the May Memorial United Methodist Church with his parents and was an avid boy scout. As a teenager in the 60’s, he was an automobile enthusiast owning several Volkswagen Beetles and enjoyed the music of The Beach Boys and The Beatles.
Gary graduated in the class of 1965 from Maytown High School, attended Prestonsburg Community College, Morehead State University and completed his degree in Tool & Die from Mayo State Vocational School in Paintsville, Kentucky.

Gary held many positions throughout his life. All of which provided him with colorful stories he conveyed to his family and friends over the years. While attending Mayo, he worked as the night desk clerk at the Heart O’ Highlands Motel and went on to serve as restaurant and motel manager at the iconic Plantation Motel in Prestonsburg. This led to an opportunity to work as Coal Lab Technician for many years at the National Mines Corporation in Wayland.

After a decline in the coal industry, Gary decided to create his own business, GRO Enterprises, based at his home in Langley. He specialized in various types of industrial supplies and enjoyed exhaustive hours of product research to provide a detailed product line to most effectively meet the needs of his customers.

Gary married his high school sweetheart, Bonnie Prater, in 1968 whom he had known since the 5th grade. They have two children, Elizabeth Ousley and Gary Christopher Ousley (Jodi). And one grandson, Christopher David Ousley.

He enjoyed visiting with his friends, sharing stories and drinking many cups of coffee at the Dairy Queen in Martin. Likewise, he loved the company of his pets.

Gary left his family and friends with a legacy of kindness, hard work and the lesson of the importance of determination and perseverance. He will be greatly missed.

Memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, May 23 at 2 PM in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Kevin Jett officiating. Visitation is 11 AM Sunday until time of service at 2.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to either God’s Pantry Food Bank, 1685 Jaggie Fox Way, Lexington, KY 40511 or the Floyd County Animal Shelter, PO Box 1502, Prestonsburg, KY 41653.

The family would also like to specifically thank Phyllis Dotson, Leann George and Mark Halbert for their steadfast support during Gary’s illness.

Daisy Mae May, 81, of Apex died Sunday, September 15, 2013.

Mrs. May was born and raised in Eastern Kentucky with her seven sisters and one brother. She married Donald G May and moved to southern Illinois where she raised 3 sons.

She is survived by her husband, Don and 3 sons: Byron May (Diana); daughter Khoury, Todd May and David May (Kecia); daughters Madison and Payton.
She is preceded in death by her sisters and brother.

Trained as a Physical Therapist, she retired from practice in 1962 to raise her eldest son and 3 years later her twin boys in Mt. Vernon, Il.

Daisy was very active in local Mt. Vernon politics, serving on the City Council and participating in many outreach activities in the local community. Her family moved to Florida in 1983 when her twins went to college. She remained active managing a restaurant and spending time with her family and sisters. Daisy adored her children and loved to cook for them and any friends who came to the house.

Daisy will be laid to rest with the rest of her family in Somerset, PA.

The bride is the daughter of the late Peter and Helen Ann Maravich. The bridegroom is the son of Donald Gordon and Daisy Cury May of Satellite Beach Grandmother Mrs. D.B. May Fla.

Karlene Johnson passed away with family by her side on August 19, 2017, in Billings, Montana.

She was born to Carl and Henrietta Whitt, in Charleston, West Virginia, on February 8, 1939.

When she was 3 or 4 the family moved to San Diego, California, where she stayed and graduated high school. After high school, she married Leslie (Butch) Southworth in California, from this union they had a son, Craig. She later divorced, Butch.

At a later date, she married Vic Johnson, and that marriage resulted in a divorce.
Karlene moved to Roundup, Montana in 1978, and stayed here to the end of her life. During this time she worked at All Season's Hardware, Bartow Welding, Inc., and received at 20 year bus aide award before her retiring from the Roundup School Systems.

Preceding Karlene in death, were her parents, one daughter, Marcy Jean, and one of her late husband's, Butch Southworth.

Surviving family include her son, Craig Southworth, of Biloxi, Mississippi; daughter in law, Bonnie Smith; grand-daughters, Dusti Southworth of Roundup, Montana, Shyanne Southworth of San Diego, California; great grandchildren, Lucas Smith, Shyanne Smith, and Keelei Holmes of Roundup, Montana, Catherine Swope of San Diego, California.

Karlene loved to read and spend lots of time with her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

No service, per her request, is planned. Donations in her name can be to donors' choice.

Services for Lewey A. Gualandi, of Schram City, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Patton Memorial Home with the Rev. Randy Sands, of the Hillsboro Free Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be directed to St. Francis Hospice.

Mr. Gualandi died at 6:46 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 1998, in his home. He was 55 years old on November 6. He worked for CIPS in Coffeen for 17 years and was a stores clerk. He was a Navy veteran, having served from 1960 to 1963.

After discharge he settled in California where he was an ironworker for 17 years. He returned to Hillsboro in 1979. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local 148, Ironworkers Local 46 in Illinois, Ironworkers Local 229 in San Diego, and a lifetime VFW Member.

He was born in Hillsboro, a son of Louis and Lillian Jones Gualandi, and graduated from Hillsboro High School in the class of 1960. He married Mary Whitt on November 30, 1963, in San Diego, Calif. She survives.

Surviving also are daughters, Shawna Bean and husband Dan of Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, Dana White of Hillsboro; his father, Louis Gualandi of Taylor Springs; brother, Gary Gualandi of Coffeen; sisters, Patsy Smith of Hillsboro, Debbie Page and husband Sam of Irving; and two grandchildren, Shelby White and Christopher Bean. His mother, Lillian, preceded him in death.

David D’Arcy Dowling died peacefully on January 8, 2021 at the age of 82 after a courageously-fought battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

David was born on March 11, 1938 in Ashland, Kentucky to David and Frances Dowling. At four years of age, his family relocated to San Diego CA, where he and his four brothers grew up.

David attended and graduated from Kearny High School, where he was involved in the ROTC program. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and was a paratrooper in the Airborne Battle Group, 501st Infantry for several years before he was honorably discharged in 1958.
David later enrolled in an apprenticeship and training program for Electrical Foremanship and Stewardship, and built a career as an electrician for 47 years, many of which were with Berg Electric. David retired in 2003.

David was a lover of fishing, card games, football and baseball, but, most of all, he was a devoted and exceptional family man. His profound dedication and loyalty to his wife, Josephine, children, Lisa and David, and grandchildren, Sean, Sierra, Savannah and Emma was unmatched. He is survived by those family members, as well as two younger brothers Robert and Michael.

David was defined by his never-ending willingness to help, his ability to find the funny in anything, as well as his determination to uncover the potential in everyone. His engaging stories brought smiles to the faces of family, friends, and strangers alike. His contagious, goofy laugh will be missed by all.

A memorial mass and celebration of life will be planned when it is safe to gather.

Ryan Parker and Rose Dowling were united in marriage on August 27, 2005 in San Diego, California.

Ryan is the son of Linda Lucero of Grand Junction, CO and Tim Parker of Parachute, CO.

Rose is the daughter off: Michael Dowling and Virginia Dowling both of San Diego, CA.

The ceremony took place at the Red Lion Hotel in the West Atrium. The reception followed in the Lahaina Room. Ordained Minister Fredrick Jackson officiated. They took a honeymoon trip, to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  Ryan and Rose are making their home in Ogden, Utah

 Virginia Rose Parker passed peacefully on January 4th, 2018 surrounded by her family.

Rose was born to Virginia and Michael Dowling August 9th 1974, in San Diego CA, and is survived by her two children, mother, father, brother, and husband.

Rose graduated from Sacramento State in December of 2016 with an Honor Degree in Mathematics. She was very committed to her children and the local community. Her legacy will continue through the Myers Mom group and all of our hearts.

The family will host a memorial service at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Renewal Church of Anderson, 4520 Dobbins Bridge Rd., Anderson, South Carolina.

The date of Mar 25, 1929 is given on his WWII Registration ( see below).  This is impossible.  This date is only a month after his sister Betty's birth date.  Also, if Paul had been born in 1929, he would have appeared in the 1930 Census.  

The Mar 7, 1930 birth date is found in a couple of family trees on ancestry for a Paul D Collins that lived in Elkins, WV.  That Paul is not this Paul.

Patricia was born March 17, 1932 in Huntington, West Virginia to Paul D. and Beulah (Earl) Collins. On October 31, 1959 she married Peter Goshia and in 1977 they moved to Longmont from Phoenix, Arizona. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Peter, her parents, her brother Paul Collins, Jr. and her sister Betty Collins.

She is survived by her daughter Deborah Holmes of Illinois, her sons Steven (Cheryl) Goshia of Mead, CO and Keith (Jennifer) Goshia of Ohio, her grandchildren Jason, Amanda, Cliff, Keely, Samantha, and Brittany and four great grandchildren.

Deborah Lee Holmes, 73, of Huntley, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2023.

She was born on April 5, 1950 in Detroit, MI to Peter and Patricia Goshia.

Deborah worked for Wickstrom Ford in Barrington for many years as their leasing manager. In her free time, she took great joy in tending to the flowers in her garden and making sure her yard was pristine.

She enjoyed staying active and got her daily exercise with her favorite pastime of shopping.

Deborah is survived by her children, Jason and his wife, Christine of St. Charles, IL; Amanda and her husband, Aaron of Gilbert, AZ;
grandchildren, Matthew, Megan, Mason and Vaughn.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held privately.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org

Thomas Elden Stroud, Jr. 38, of Carlisle, KY, formerly of Prichard, WV, passed away Monday, October 15, 2007 at Hospice of the Bluegrass, Lexington, KY.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2007 at the Dunlow Freewill Baptist Church by Brother Russell Watts and Brother Jim Moore. Burial will follow at the Burk Cemetery at Wayne.

He was born December 18, 1968 at Phoenix, AZ, a son of Barbara Dingess Stroud Lycans and
husband, Cabell (his Dad) of Prichard, WV and the late Thomas Elden Stroud, Sr.

He was a former coal miner and employee of Charleston Motor Company.

His paternal grandfather, Noel Stroud, paternal grandmother, Edith Hamilton, and maternal grandfather, Shannon Dingess, also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Sheryl Moore Stroud; two daughters, Cassi Stroud and Courtney Stroud, both of Carlisle, KY; three sisters, Terene Pinson and Cristie Watts, both of Prichard, WV, and Deda McSorley of Ceredo, WV; and his maternal grandmother, Nelli Maynard of Huntington, WV.

Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Morris Funeral Home and after 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the church. The family requests in of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help with final expenses.

Leo Elden 61, of 125 Lynwood Space 9, will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.

The Rev. Don Mitchell, pastor of the Pine Forest Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. He died Monday at 7:30 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Hospital after an illness.

A native of Huntington, WV. he lived in Vidor two years. He was a retired employee of Fort Motor Co. and World War II Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Earl of Vidor; one son, Rickie Earl of Vidor; two daughters, Wanda Brent and Mollie Sarver, both of Vidor; one sister, Edith Hamilton of Ohio; and two grandchildren.

Irene Earl VIDOR The funeral for Irene Earl, 72, of Vidor will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Faith Baptist Church in Vidor. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation begins at 11 am Monday in the funeral home.

She died Friday in Beaumont. She lived in Vidor for 17 years and was a native of Ohio. She was nurse's aide for Valley Springs Nursing Home.

Survivors include one son, Ricky Earl of Lewis Center, Ohio; two daughters, Wanda Guilbeaux of Beaumont and Mollie Sarver of Vidor; two brothers, Billy King and Bobby King, both of Ohio; two sisters, Melzina Niday and Gladys Farley, both of Ohio; and five grandchildren.

Rickie Lee Earl (Ickie) passed away October 9th, 2020 at his family home in Parma, Ohio.

Born and raised in Brookpark, Ohio. The son of the late Leo Elden Earl and the late Irene Earl of Brookpark, Ohio.

A brother to the late Wanda Jane Earl of Vidor, Texas and Mollie Bee Sarver (Mark) of Vidor, Texas.

A very good father to Rickie James Earl and Lee Ann Earl (Michael). A grandfather to Ryan Ashley, Kory, Jordan and Nathan. A puppy papa to Toby and Finn. An ex-husband to Ann. A dotting and fiercely loyal husband to Luijoy Padriquilaga.
He was the biggest rock star of Ohio …. nah… just kidding... he was our rock though. He loved his music until the end. Passionate about his band. A true rock and roll man to the core. A jack of all trades, from being a truck driver, to a press man, a delivery man, to a small businessman, he lived and loved it all. He loved traveling to every nook and cranny of Ohio, to the hills of South Dakota, the many falls of New York, the white beaches of Florida and the Carolinas, and he conquered his fear of flying to see the thousand islands of the Philippines. He built a band from the ground up and gigged all over town with his best friend Rich. Those were the happiest days of his life. The icing of the cake was his music, as long as he was playing bass with the rest of the crew, he was most happy.

So long and farewell Ickie and keep on rocking wherever you are. You left a void in our hearts that can never be replaced. Thank you for the laughter shared, the music played, the friendship treasured, the happiness provided and the unconditional love given. I love you, Honey.
