Caroline by name. Not with daughters Hattie, or Libby. Not
with son John W Carico.
However, the 1920 Census record for daughter Birdie Scott in Rochester
NY shows that she is living with a Thomas Scott a 80 years old widow who
is the parent of Birdie. If you look at the sheet, F was crossed
out and M written in for sex. It appears like there was some
confusion when the record was being record. Based on the age of
this Thomas and Birdie, This Thomas Scott is actually Caroline Thomas.
This is also backed up by the 1920 City Directory for Caroline in
Rochester, NY...street address 200 Plymouth matches Census.

George Junior Wartsbaugh "June", born December 02, 1927, in
Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away on September 27, 2020, in his
home surrounded by family.
He is preceded in death by his previous wife, Alma
Wartsbaugh; father, Earnest Wartsbaugh; mother, Ruth Speck,
as well as his sister, Ruby Brightwell.
He is survived by two daughters, Carol (Dave) Granger of
Troy, Ohio, and Lyn (Ronnie) Bray of Altamonte Springs,
Florida; 5 grandchildren, Amy (Justin) Reigle, Brittany
Granger, William Davis, Ashley Bray and Paige Bray; a
nephew, Rodney (Brenda) Brightwell; great-grandchildren,
Faith and Maggie Reigle; as well as a great-great-grandson,
Chase. |
