12, 1871, Tucker Co., WV. They have three or four children:
Madora A Schoonover, Edith E Schoonover, Martha Jane Schoonover
and Job (not sure about this last one). Susannah dies Jul 1, 1885,
Randolph Co, WV.

Solomon
"Loman" B Hart - b. Dec 10, 1842, VA; d. May 23, 1882, Randolph Co.,
WV. Suspect that the burial was at the Israel Church Cemetery in
Kerens. However, there is no record of it. This is where his infant son was buried in 1867 and where
his wife was buried in 1921.
m. Virginia Catherine Vanscoy - (b. May 8, 1842, daughter of Ellis
Hixon Vanscoy and Mary Polly Hays; d. Oct 12, 1921, Randolph Co., WV.
Marries again in Apr 19, 1883 to widower Seymour Wilmoth but divorces
before 1896 when Seymour takes another wife. This marriage is
confirmed in the 1892 death record for son Perry D Hart where the name
Catherine Wilmoth is given as the name of parent. Of note on the
marriage, she gives her age as 32. Her age in 1883 was actually 39
or 40. According to the death certificate under "Katherine V Hart", she is buried at
the Israel Church Cemetery.) - Feb 7,

About the name Solomon /
Loman
Birth records for Randolph County, Virginia did not exist or are
not available for the year that Solomon was born, 1842.
Therefore, it is hard to prove his birth name was actually
Solomon and not Loman.
The 1850 and 1870 Census are the only documents where the full
name Solomon is almost spelled out. With the letter "S"
and "L" being almost identical in the handwriting of this time,
it is hard to figure out what letter the Census takers were
actually using when they wrote his name down. The name Solomon
evolved quickly into Loman B and is the name used on most
historical documents. |
