The information I have
for Clay is from the "Harts of Randolph........." book. The
only information given for Clay is the birth and death year and
burial location. However, based on the Dec 1859 birth of
brother Carroll above, the events had to have taken place in the
later part of 1860. I did look through the birth and death
records for VA/WV for 1860, and did not find Clay.
Another possibility is that there was no Clay Long in this family
and the older records have the name Clay mixed up with Carroll
