Mary Mildred L. Hasenbuhler, 79, of 48316 Ohio 14, New Waterford, Ohio, formerly of South Round Street, died March 31, 1995, in Jameson Memorial Hospital.

Ms. Hasenbuhler was born Feb. 20,1916, in Berkley Springs, W.Va., to Jacob W. and Agnes V. Tritapoe Hasenbuhler. She married Carl R. Phillips Sr. on Feb. 8, 1936. He died in 1988.

She was a member of Mary Mother of Hope Parish, St. Mary worship site. She was a member of Christian Mothers and the Ladies Guild of the Church. She was also a member of the Zoological Society and a life member of the National Conservation Society.

Ms. Hasunbuhler is survived by two sons, Carl Phillips Jr. of Albany, Ore., and Dennis Phillips of Meadow Lands, Pa.; two daughters, Anna Phillips of Charlotte, N.C., and Patricia Phillips of New Waterford, Ohio; one brother, J. Bernard of Berkley Springs, W.Va.; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Charles and Harold Hasenbuhler and one granddaughter, Debra Pressley. No calling hours are planned. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at the St. Mary worship site at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Robert Cedolia, pastor, will officiate. Memorials may be made in her name to the donor’s favorite charity. Funeral arrangements are by the J. Bradley McGonigle Memorial Home

Debra Ann Pressley -- Services for Debra Ann Pressley 21 a horse rancher will be at 2 pm Sunday at Mc Ewen West Chapel Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens.

Miss Pressley of 5321 S Hampton Road died Thursday in a car accident in Seminole Okla. She was ranch manager and trainer for the Bill Morris Quarterhorse Farm in Canadian Texas and a former waitress at restaurants in Charlotte and Matthews.

Shirley Ann Shears Avey, 79, of Rivesville, West Virginia died Monday, November 14, 2016 in the Fairmont Regional Medical Center. She was born in Baltimore, MD, on July 14, 1937 the daughter of Charles Oliver Shears & Naomi Grace Phillips Shears. She is survived by her husband Brady Arlington Avey of Rivesville, WV.

She is survived by 4 daughters Karen Cone of Florida, Glenda Griffin of Hurlock, MD, Cynthia Lafferty and her husband Richard Lafferty of Nutter Fort, WV and Sharon Bender of Arnettsville, WV, 2 sons Dwayne Wilson of Baltimore, MD and Brian Bender of Baltimore, MD, a brother Ronald James Shears of Baltimore, MD, 20 grandchildren including Tara Ann Perri & her husband John Perri Jr. of Bridgeport, WV, Eric James Royal and his wife Tammy Royal of Monongah, WV
and Kayla Marie Bender of Fairmont, WV and many great grandchildren. Mrs. Avey was preceded in death by a daughter Naomi Grace Radcliffe and a brother Charles Wallace Shears.

Mrs. Avey was a retired operator from the C&P Telephone Company and was also a former truck driver with her husband for the Buffalo Express Co. She was a graduate of Patterson High School in Baltimore, MD.

The family will receive friends at the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont, WV 26554, Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. The committal service will follow in the Arnettsville Cemetery in Monongalia County, WV.

Naomi Grace Radcliff, 57, of Fairmont passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 31, 1957 a daughter of Brady and Shirley Shears Avey of Rivesville.

She was a member of Fairmont Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, bicycling, and gardening. She also enjoyed time with her family especially her granddaughter. She was known as the kind of person to help anyone out who was in need.

She is survived by her son Eric Royal and his wife Tammy of Monongah;
two brothers Dewayne Wilson of Maryland and Brian Bender of Maryland; four sisters Karen Cone of Florida, Cynthia Lafferty and her husband Richard of Clarksburg, Glenda Griffin and her husband Charles of Maryland and Sharon Bender and her boyfriend William Bright of Morgantown; her granddaughter Kelsea Royal and her fiancé Anthony Allen; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont on Monday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 3, 2014 with Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens.

  1940 - Census - Robert is living with his mother Nola and maternal grandmother Fanny Scranage, Booth's Creek, Taylor Co., WV.  Suspect that Robert was in some way physically or mentally disabled.  In this Census he is 10 years old, but has not attended school. Also, there are virtually no online records for him. He also did not receive his SS card until 1973, when he was 43 years old, which means he never worked.

Bernice June Pitzer age 83 a resident of Kasson Rd. Moatsville passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017 at her residence. She was born May 14, 1934 in Taylor Co. a daughter of the late Delbert and Elsie Mae (King) Phillips. She was united in marriage December 25, 1954 to Robert Joel Pitzer who preceded her in death October 14, 2013. Surviving-

Two daughters, Donna L. Phillips and husband Joseph J. of Philippi

Teresa M. Mackey and husband Jason of Winfield, WV

Two sons, Roger Pitzer and wife Winnie of Moatsville

William Pitzer and wife Sherri of Bridgeport

One sister, Bonnie Varady of OH.

One brother, Frank Phillips of IL.

Eight grandchildren, Richard Pitzer, Chad Phillips, Lisa Cross, Roger Neil Pitzer, Ashley Pitzer, Tyler Pitzer, Lindsey Mick, Bethany Mick

Two great grandchildren, Winona Phillips, Aubriella Cross, and one expected great-grandchild

Bernice was preceded in death by one son, Robert Neil Pitzer and one brother, Troy Phillips of IL. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed reading her bible and spending time with her family, she was also a sports enthusiast.

Bernice attended the Kasson United Methodist Church.

Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Wednesday October 11, 3-8 pm and on Thursday October 12, from 8-10 am the service hour with Speaker Brad Dumire officiating. Interment will follow in the WV National Cemetery.

BRACEVILLE -- Visitation for Mary Elizabeth Vaughan Phillips, 60, of Braceville, will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes, Braidwood Chapel, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Rev. Eric Livingston will officiate. Burial will be in the Braceville-Gardner cemetery, Braceville.

Mrs. Phillips died Sunday (June 29, 2003) at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. She was born May 6, 1943, in Mill Shoals, the daughter of Pleasant and Geneva Gibbs Vaughan. Her parents are deceased. Her husband of 31 years, Troy Neal Phillips, is deceased.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Corinne Phillips of Braceville; five daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Joe Smothers, Lisa and David Sylvester, all of Joliet, Lori and Gustavo Phillips of Shorewood, Rhonda and Mike Hazel of Joliet, Amanda and Mike Phillips of Braceville; five grandchildren; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Janice Vaughan of Manhattan, Don and Jeanie Vaughan of Fairfield, Junior and Dixie Vaughan of Mill Shoals, Tom and Pat Vaughan, Fred and Pat Vaughan, all of Fairfield; one sister and brother-in-law, Geneva and John Klaffer of Fairfield; and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Jim Vaughan and Lee Vaughan; and one sister, Elsie Mae Vaughan, are deceased. She was a member of the Braceville Elementary School Board.
