Geneva Snyder Riffle, 78, of 139 Delight Loop, died Oct. 31, 2008, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Born in Braxton, W. Va., on Jan. 18, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Zachariah and Hannah Snyder. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Harris Riffle, in 1980.

She was also preceded in death by sons Delmas Bernard Riffle and Richard Franklin Riffle, and by a daughter, Judy Ann Riffle.

Survivors include her children: James, Robert, Raymond and Danny Riffle and Barbara Pritt, Mary Welch and Linda Riffle, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services celebrating her life will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday at Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Pharr officiating. Private burial will follow later in W. Va. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

MOORESVILLE -- Barbara Jean Riffle Pritt, 71, of Mooresville, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2016.

She was born in Elkins, W.Va., to Geneva Madeline Snyder Riffle and Bernard Harris Riffle who preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, George Madison Pritt; grandson, John Christopher Sharp;
brothers, Delmas Bernard Riffle, Richard Franklin Riffle, Raymond Edward Riffle; and sister, Judy Ann Riffle.

She is survived by sons, Michael Wayne Pritt (Daniela) of Mooresville and Terry Lynn Pritt of Statesville; daughter, Cynthia Sue Wines (Frank) of Salisbury; brothers, James Riffle (Margo) of Denver, N.C., Robert Riffle of Statesville, Danny Riffle (Mary) of Troutman; sisters, Mary Welch (Joe) of Mabie, W.Va., and Linda Taylor of Statesville;
grandchildren, Nichole Luffman (Timothy) of Mooresville, Stacey Sharp of Conover, Brianna Luffman, Katie Pritt, and Tyler Pritt of Statesville, Kathrin Johnson, Sabrina Johnson (Zach), and Casey Pritt of Mooresville; and great-grandchildren, Michelle, Johnathon, Kimothy, Lauren, Julian, Alexa, Aleigha, Rilynn, and Nolan. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

She is also survived by her best friend, Eunice Kirkland. Ingram Funeral Home and Cremation Society in Mooresville is serving the family. A family service will be announced at a later date.

CONOVER - John Christopher Sharp, 22, of Conover passed away Aug. 26, 2007.

Born July 26, 1985, in Elkins, W.Va., he was the son of John Wayne and Cynthia Pritt Sharp.

He was employed by Sunbelt Furniture of Conover.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, George Pritt.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by sisters, Nichole Luffman of Mooresville and Stacey Sharp of the home; a brother, Timothy Sharp of West Virginia; grandmothers, Barbara Pritt of Mooresville and Linda Arbogast of West Virginia; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

The Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, at Catawba Funerals & Cremations. Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park. Terry Lynn Pritt, age 45, of Statesville went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 12, 2019. He was a loving father and grandfather especially to his grandson Nolan. Enjoyed his time with family, watching Nascar, Dallas Cowboys, WV Mountaineers.

Preceded in death by his parents, George and Barbara Pritt; daughter, Elizabeth Luffman; nephew, John C Sharp.

Survivors include his ex-wife, Tabitha Pritt; daughters, Brianna (Jaden) Jacobson of Statesville, Katie Pritt of Statesville; sons, Zachary (Sam) Pritt of Statesville, Tyler Pritt of Statesville; 3 grandchildren; best friend Daniel Paasch of Mooresville; brother, Michael Pritt of Mooresville; sister, Cynthia (Frank) Wines; several nieces, nephews and great nieces.

  Question whether there are any children.  In Delmas' obit, only step children were listed. 

Are Delmas Neil Riffle and Kevin Scott Riffle below his children with first wife Janet who just happens to be living in Corinth, NY?

When Janet's mother died in 1974 in Corinth, NY, Janet was still Mrs Riffle living in Elkins, WV.  Between the 3 children of Lillian Leona Reams Hedrick mentioned in her obit: Gail Reams (son), Randall Hedrick, and Mrs Bernard (Janet) Riffle...... there were 6 grandchildren.

Besides Delmas Neil Riffle and Kevin Scott Riffle born in the 1970's, which are most likely children of Delmas Bernard Riffle, there were two other children born to Janet Lee Hedrick in the 1980's.  These children were Winnie Leona Riffle and Clarence C Riffle. In a 2010 obit for daughter Tristyn, of Clarence C Riffle, parental grandparents given are Clarence W Sherman and Janet Riffle.  So were Winnie and Clarence children of Clarence W Sherman or Delmas Bernard Riffle?

Judy Ann Riffle, 53, of Statesville, passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Ms. Riffle was born Jan. 13, 1955, in Painesville, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Bernard Harris Riffle and Geneva Snider Riffle, who survives.

Ms. Riffle graduated from Coalton High School in Coalton, WV and was a homemaker.

In addition to her mother, Ms. Riffle is survived by a daughter, Crystal Hernandez, of Statesville, son-in-law, Felix Hernandez of Mooresville, a son, Robert Smith of Statesville, six grandchildren, Cresta Riffle, Alan Smith, Zander Smith, Andrew Hernandez, Jorge Hernandez and Victoria Lopez-Leon, all of Statesville, six brothers, four sisters and many friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held at a later date. Nicholson Funeral Home is serving the family of Ms. Judy Riffle.

He was born January 25, 1962, in Elkins, WV, and was the son of the late Bernard and Geneva Snyder Riffle. He enjoyed the outdoors, walking, music, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Ann Riffle; and two brothers, Frank and Bernie Riffle.

Ed is survived by a daughter, Victoria Lopez-Leon of Statesville; three sisters, Mary Welch of Elkin, WV, Barbara Pritt of Davidson and Linda Taylor of Statesville; three brothers, Robert Riffle of Statesville, James “Jimmy” Riffle of Denver, and Danny Riffle of Troutman; and several nieces and nephews.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

  Victoria is mentioned as the daughter of Raymond Riffle.  She is also mentioned as the granddaughter of Raymond's sister Judy Ann Riffle.  Huh!!??  The only way this could happen, is if Raymond had a child with his sister's daughter.  I hope this was not so.   Also, where did the last name of Lopez-Leon come from?

She was born on February 8, 1965 in Randolph County, WV, to the late Bernard and Geneva Snyder Riffle.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Richard "Frank" Riffle, Delmas "Bernie" Riffle, Raymond "Ed" Riffle; and sisters, Judy Ann Riffle and Barbara Pritt.

She leaves behind a son, Arnold Taylor (Priscilla) of Statesville; daughters, Sarah Tucker (Michael) of Statesville, April Brown of Thomasville; brothers, James Riffle (Margo) of Denver, Robert Riffle of Salisbury, Danny Riffle (Mary) of Troutman; sister, Mary Welch (Joe) of Mabie, WV; and grandchildren, Jeremiah, Timonthy, Tityana, Jasmine, Destiny and Desiree. Along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews.
