With mother until she passed away on Jul 13,
1887. Mother leaves most of her
belonging to "Ivy" in her will under the care of
step-father Lloyd. |
| |
1887 - 1899
- Iva has somehow ended up in Cincinnati, OH
pregnant in 1899. Some family trees
have the father of her son Edgar as an Edgar
C Marshall. If this is true, then
Edgar was conceived out of wedlock.
This Edgar C Marshall marries in 1902 and
claims that that is his first marriage on
the marriage application. Yet,
Edgar was born in 1900.
The only father that Edgar names as his
father is Richard J Hauser and uses Hauser
as his last name through life. I can
find no documents that list an Edgar C
Marshall as his biological father.
Many family trees on Ancestry have this
information. However, not one family
tree provides any documents or even a
background story about Edgar Marshall and
why they think he is Edgar's biological
father. |

Census - Evidently, I am the first one who
found this Census record for Iva and Richard
on Ancestry. I searched just using the
first name Richard born in Ohio about 1876
but living in Indiana. Looking at the
search results, I found this record under
"Hansen". I went to FamilySearch.org
to download a clearer copy of the 1920
Census. The copies that are on
Ancestry of this specific Census are
copies-of-copies and are not clear.
The 1920 Census copies on Family Search are
photographs of the originals and much easier
to read. Looking at this clearer copy
(attached below), the record was transcribed
incorrectly. This is Richard and Iva Hauser,
not Richard and Ora Hansen. |

??William
C Parsons - b. Nov 15, 1882;
d. Jan 27, 1886. Buried at St George Cemetery, St George,
Tucker Co., WV
It is unknown if all of this information is factual. In the
Parson Family book by Virginia Parsons MacCabe, William is listed as
one of the two children Job W Parsons and Mary Elizabeth Parsons
had. But no dates are given. There are also no
supporting documents for the burial of a Willie C Parsons at the St
George Cemetery. There is no marker photo on the Find A Grave
website, so where did the information come from? If this child
did exist, he did pass away before mother's death in 1887
because
Mary only mentions her daughter Iva in her will. |
