DAISY MARIE PRITT QUICK, age 87 years, a former resident of Mill Creek, and for the past several years, a resident of Colonial Place, departed this life Monday morning, March 30, 2009 at the nursing home.

She was born Tuesday, June 28, 1921 at Elkwater, a daughter of the late Flavius W. Pritt and Caroline Kimbrew Pritt. On June 1, 1941 at the Huttonsville Presbyterian Church, she was married to William Donald Quick, who preceded her in death on November 28, 2002.

Surviving her are two sisters, Violet Goff, Sunset, AZ and Kathleen Goff, Charleston, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was one infant, and two brothers, Warden Junior Pritt and Bayard Pritt.

Daisy attended the two room school at Elkwater and graduated from Tygart Valley High School with the class of 1941. She was a homemaker and along with her husband, was the owner and operator of the Quick Service Station from 1952 to 1991. She was a member of the Mill Creek Senior Citizens, the Mill Creek Presbyterian Church, where she had served as secretary / treasurer for thirty-five years, and the Elder Women of the Church. She was also a noted church historian.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 6 until 8 PM, Thursday. On Friday, April 3, 2009, Daisy will be moved to the Mill Creek Presbyterian Church where friends may call from 10 until 11AM, the funeral hour. Pastor Gordon B. White, Jr. will officiate and interment will follow at the Mill Creek Cemetery. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to Hospice Care Corporation, P.O. Box 760, Arthurdale, WV 26520 or to the charity of your choice.

A. Justine Pritt Arbogast, 53, a resident of the Chenoweth Creek community, passed away at 8:35 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2003, in Ruby Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 13, 1949, in Elkins, the daughter of Analee Rohr Pritt of Dailey and the late Warden J. Pritt. On June 30, 1979, she was married to Denver Arbogast, who survives at Chenoweth Creek.

Also surviving are one son, Robert Dale Arbogast, serving with the U.S. Navy in LeMoore, Calif.; two daughters, Sarah Elizabeth and Rebecca Ellen Arbogast, both at home; one sister, Sharon Herbach Cox of Canonsburg, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

Also preceding her in death were one son, Adam Justin, and one daughter, Annie.

Justine was a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 1967 and graduated from the Clarksburg Beauty Academy. She was employed by Concast Metal for over 20 years and was currently employed by Siron Trucking of Montrose. She was a member of the Hart Chapel Church at Chenoweth Creek.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m Friday at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. On Saturday, she will be moved to the Hart Chapel Church at Chenoweth Creek for visitation from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m., the funeral hour. Pastor David Collins and the Rev. Robert L. Lowther will officiate and interment will follow in the Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Sarah and Rebecca Arbogast College Fund, in care of Davis Trust Company, Third Street and Davis Avenue, Elkins, W.Va., 26241, in memory of Mrs. Arbogast. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for A. Justine Pritt Arbogast.

John B. Pritt 70, of Deerfield, formerly of Akron, died Sunday, May 3, 1998, after a long illness.

Born in Elkwater, W. Va Mr. Pritt had lived most of his life in the Akron area. He was a member of the Deerfield United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by his wife, Leah Maxme Pritt, in 1988; and by his brother, Warden J.

Pritt; he is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Thalia Lancaster, Pamela and Eric Stanevich, all of Akron, Ginger and Troy Swiger of Annadale, sons and daughter-in-law, John B. Jr. and Diane of Green, Charles E. of Akron; sisters, Daisy Quick of Millcreek, W. Violet Goff of Phoenix, Kathleen Goff of Charleston, W.

Thalia Maxine Pritt Summers, age 58 years, a resident of Rt. 3, Elkins, passed away September 16, 2014 at her residence.

She was born July 25, 1956 at Akron, OH, a daughter of the late John Bayard Pritt and Leah Maxine Moyer Pritt.

She is survived by three daughters, Heather Summers of Jackson Township, OH, Shannon Patitucci of Princeton, WV, Crystal Summers of Akron, OH and her boyfriend, Tom Bolinger.

Also surviving are two brothers, John Pritt of Green, OH, Ed Pritt of Akron, OH, two sisters, Pam Stanevich of Akron, OH, Ginger Swiger of Virginia and two grandchildren, Haley Summers and Jordan Patitucci.

Thalia was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. She was employed at the Hampton Inn of Elkins at the time of her death. At Thalias request, her remains were cremated.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 P.M. Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Sunday from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Stella Faye Moyer officiating. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of choice.
