  1930 - Census - Tippie and Charles are living in separate homes during this census.  Charles is living in Barbour Co. WV with his daughter.  I suspect, but have no proof, that he was working the farm his parents had.  His mother had died in 1928.. His daughter was probably with him to manage the home.  Back in Preston Co., WV. Tippie has her 4 sons to help with the farming there.

James J. “Jim” Lake, 79, of Independence, WV, passed away after a brief illness Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, WV. He was born on April 21, 1944 in Thornton, WV, a son of Walter W. Lake, Jr. and Dorotha Mae (Jenkins) Stealey.

He is survived by his wife Virginia H. (Wigley) Lake. In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter, Kim M. Lake and fiancée Prince Linton of Pittsburgh, PA and his son Harry J. “Jackie” Lake and wife Megan R. Lake of Parkersburg, WV; grandchildren: Justice T. Redman, Kathryn E. Lake, and Carter J. Lake.
In addition to his parents Jim was preceded in death by his brother William E. “Eugene” Lake.

He went to school in Grafton, WV. He worked at the physical plant at West Virginia University for over 20 years. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Family and friends will be received at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home, 950 George Washington Hwy, Grafton, WV, on Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 10am until the funeral hour at 11 with Pastor Marty Turner presiding. Interment will follow at the Gladesville Cemetery.

William Eugene Lake, 68, of Wilson Ridge, passed away Friday, November 20, 2015 at Grafton City Hospital.

He was born in Taylor County, September 10, 1947. The son of the late Junior Lake and Dorotha Jenkins Stealey.

Gene loved playing music and singing. He played the drums for several groups and clubs.

He is survived by two children; Rhonda Boyce of Fairmont, and William "BJ" Lake and wife Beth, both of Fairmont, one brother; Jim Lake, Gladesville, WV, as well as six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, William Lake was preceded in death by one grandchild.

At his request, his remains will be cremated and a Celebration of his life, will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 between 4pm and 8pm. At Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. Grafton, WV.

From the Find A Grave website with no burial location.  No source given for obit.  May be a fake obit.  There were a lot of typos.  Author of this Find A Grave entry also created a fictional cemetery in Morgantown, WV for son Bill calling it "Jenkins Family Farm Cemetery".  Huh????  This family is from Grafton.  Most of this family is buried at cemeteries in Taylor Co., or Preston Co., WV. None of them named "Jenkins".  Never has there been a burial for this family in Monongalia Co., WV
James Robert 'Big Jim' Jenkins was born Oct 31, 1938, in Preston Co., a son of Amos Jackson and Bessie D. Colebank Jenkins. He married Minnie Pearl Watkins. March 23, 1968.

Surviving are his wife of 43 years; three sons, Robert Jackson Jenkins, William Glen Jenkins and James Snyder; two granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and five siblings, Walter Jenkins, Dorthea Mae Stealey, Hobert Jenkins, Hazel Martin and Glenn 'Mickey' Jenkins.

William “Bill” Glenn Jenkins, 47, of Wilson Ridge, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019, at Mon General Hospital. He was born in ?Morgantown, April 12, 1971, a son of the late James Robert “Big Jim” and Minnie Pearl Watkins Jenkins.

Bill graduate from Grafton High School, class 1990 [stet]. He was a bartender for over twenty years at Lady Godiva’s in Morgantown. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, playing video games, and a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys and especially the cheerleaders. He loved being with nieces and his four legged companions.
He is survived by three brothers, Robert Jackson Jenkins, Mark Knotts, and James Snyder all of Grafton; two nieces, Kayla Snyder, Danielle Snyder; three great nieces, Nevaeh Snyder, Nicholas James Snyder, Lillian Grace Skiles, a very special friend, Fannie, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave. on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 3-8 PM and on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 9:00AM until the funeral hour at 11:00AM with Evangelist Bobby Jennings and Pastor Bert Coffman officiating. Interment will follow at the Jenkins Family Cemetery.

Glenn A. "Mick" Jenkins, age 66, of Grafton, Wilson Ridge Community, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at the residence of his niece, Regina Spring, following an extended illness.

He was born in Taylor County, April 18, 1944, a son of the late Amos Jackson Jenkins and Bessie Diora (Colbank) [stet] Jenkins.

Mick was a farmer and enjoyed raising cattle and working on the farm. He loved all children.
Surviving are: one daughter, Melissa Lynn Henderson, of Grafton; one granddaughter, Lynnessa Mae Henderson, of Grafton; one brother, James Robert Jenkins and his wife Minnie, of Grafton; his niece, Regina Spring; and several other nieces and nephews; also two special caretakers, Thomas Waters and Wayne Bolyard.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: his companion of many years, Roberta Bailey; two brothers, Hobert Jenkins, and Walter Jenkins; two sisters, Dortha Stealey, and Artie Martin.

Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, Thursday from 2 - 8 p.m., and Friday from 9 a.m until the funeral hour. 9-11, a significant date in America's history, now holds another significant and endearing meaning for the Colebank family, for it is the day we bid farewell to our very own family pillar, Robert "Bob" Lee Colebank

Bob was born on December 6, 1941, to Hadden Jesse Colebank and Theo Esther Bolyard Colebank of Preston County, WV. He married Frances R. Rager on June 14, 1964, and they had three sons: Bobby, Lonnie, and Dave. Bob worked hard to raise his family through example and precept of faith, integrity, and hard work.

Although his love for his family was great, and something he was known for, there was nothing that compared to his love for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He could be found daily in the Word of God and expressed that there was nothing more important than the Word and that reading God's Word is something that people should "make time to do". Although he enjoyed things such as camping, hunting, fishing, and the farm, there was nothing that compared to the joy he found in his personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and he unashamedly shared his faith with all he came in contact with.
Throughout the years, he faced many health challenges, and it was always his desire to see the One who had given His life to save him. That desire was fulfilled on September 11, 2023, as he was ushered into the Presence of God, leaving behind a legacy of hope and faith to his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all those who knew him, that anyone can come to the same saving knowledge by trusting Jesus to be their Lord and Savior.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Hadden and Theo Colebank, and brother Dennis Colebank.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Colebank; children Robert (Bobby) and Kelly Colebank, Lonnie and Marilyn Colebank, and Dwight (Dave) and Lynn Colebank; grandchildren Sarah Colebank, Jesse and Kate Colebank, Thea and Easton Odenheimer, Cheralynn and Lane Noel, Gage Colebank and fiancé Hannah Mike, Zephan Colebank, and Zaley Colebank; great grandchildren, Daniel Colebank, Harper Colebank, and Emberly Odenheimer; brother William Colebank and his wife Pat. He is also survived by many in­ laws as well as many nieces and nephews.

At this time, the family would like to express our gratefulness to all who supported us during the challenging days our family has faced. Those of our family, friends, churches, and community who have offered their time, resources, prayers, and encouraging words. We are very grateful.

Family and friends will be received at Bartlett Funeral Home 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton on Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 2:00PM until 7:00PM and will lie in state at Calvary Baptist Church on Friday September 15, 2023 from 9:00AM until the hour of the funeral at 11:00AM with Pastor Mike Boyer officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt Zion Cemetery in Marquess.

Rolinda "Chi Chi" Mueller, 66, lifelong resident of Brooklyn Park, died December 23 at Carroll County Hospital.

She enjoyed Jazzercise, and watching the Ravens and the Orioles. She also enjoyed reality TV shows, and listening to country music. Chi Chi never went out without being 'put together.

'Chi Chi is survived by her son, Douglas C. Nelson II, and grandson, Justin Dunnigan.

Friends and Family celebrated her life on Wednesday, December 26, at the family owned Kirkley-Ruddick Funeral Home.
The service was held on Thursday, December 27, with Interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Delores Jean Hott, age 67, of Augusta, WV passed away on Tuesday June 7, 2011 at Winchester Medical Center.

Born on November 16, 1943 in Keyser, WV, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Arcella (Rogers) Colebank. She worked at the Hampshire County Jail as a supervisor for 22 years and at Potomac Highlands as a booking clerk. She was a member of the Christ Community Church, Augusta, WV.

Delores was preceded in death by her husband William T. "Bill" Hott in 1998 and also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Colebank.

Surviving is a daughter, Alicia Roomsburg and husband Mark of Augusta, WV, a son, Chad Hott & wife Penny of Romney, WV, three brothers, R. Duane Colebank and sister-in-law Esther of Romney, Lyle Colebank and sister-in-law Sharon, Russell E. "Gene" Colebank and sister-in-law Alice all of Augusta, sister-in-law Karen Colebank of Romney, and five grandchildren, Cole W. Roomsburg, Chloe T. Roomsburg, Jenna G. Hott, Carper W. Hott and Elliott T. Hott.

Funeral services will be held on Friday June 10, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the McKee Funeral Home Chapel, 115 E. Birch Lane Romney, WV with Pastor Don Kesner officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney, WV. The family will receive friends on Thursday 4:00 P.M.- 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Glenn Wayne Sigley, 68, Peru, died at 5 a.m. May 17, 2012 at home.

He was born Oct. 17, 1943 in Newburg, W.Va. to Arlie W. and Mable G. (Colebank) Sigley. He married Mary Alice (Watson) Sept. 21, 2007 and she survives.

Glenn retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years. He graduated from high school in Tunnelton, W.Va., and attended Ivy Tech Kokomo for a degree in business management in 1988. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Peru. He is survived by his wife; a son, Glenn Luis (Wendy) Sigley, Woodbridge, Va.; step-sons, Gary (Jerilyn) Gambrell, Gilead, Stanley (Jerri) Gambrell, Noblesville, and Larry (Ann) Odle, Noblesville; brothers, Gale Sigley, Arlie Jr. Sigley, Randy Sigley and Larry Sigley, all of West Virginia; and a sister, Beverly Kelly, of West Virginia. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Wanda Sigley and a step-son Timothy Gambrell.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the First Assembly of God Church, 365 Monroe Ave., Peru, with Pastor E.J. Litherland officiating. Burial will be in Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery, Cass County. Friends may call Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorials to: First Assembly of God Church. Arrangements entrusted to Flowers Leedy Funeral Home. Miami County Military Rites Team will provide a military committal service.

Gale R. "Gobbler" Sigley, 68, of Reedsville, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in Waynesburg, PA.

He was born in Newburg, WV on November 24, 1945, a son of the late Arlie and Mable (Colebank) Sigley.

Gale is survived by three brothers, Randy Sigley and wife Dean of Reedsville, Arlie Sigley Jr. and wife Willa of Bruceton Mills and Larry Sigley and wife Charlotte of Newburg; one sister, Beverly Kelly and husband Rick of Reedsville and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Gale was preceded in death by one brother, Glenn Sigley and one sister, Vonda Jean Sigley.

To honor Gobblers wishes he will be cremated without a viewing or service. The family will have a memorial service at a later time.

The family has entrusted Field Funeral Home in Masontown with arrangements.

Arlie Junior Sigley, 71, of Bruceton Mills, WV, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022, at home with family by his side.

He was born in Morgantown, WV on January 24, 1951, a son of the late Rev. Arlie W. Sigley and Mable G. (Colebank) Sigley.

Arlie was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and riding his four-wheeler. Arlie also spent a lot of time with his favorite dog, Summer.

Arlie is survived by his wife of 48 years, Willa (Watkins) Sigley; one son, Aaron Sigley and wife Laurie; one daughter, Robin Kessler and husband BK; four grandchildren, Monica Bucklew, Felicia Bucklew and companion Adam Lee, Erin Sigley and companion Willie Hershman and Ashley Sigley.
nine great grandchildren, Alex Bucklew, Easton Lee, Axell Lee, Chloe Lee, Skyla Fox Lee, Jayden Sigley, Lucas Sigley, Arielle Leeson, Jayce Bolyard, and Evelyn Kessler; two brothers, Randy and Larry Sigley and one sister, Beverly Kelly and husband Rick.

In addition to his parents, Arlie was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Brayden and Kayden Sigley; two brothers, Gale and Glenn Sigley and one sister Vonda Sigley.

Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home in Masontown on Friday, June 17, 2022, from 10 am until the 2 pm memorial service with the Jehovah Witnesses officiating.

Paisley Irene Sigley, Smithfield, Pa.

Paisley Irene Sigley, 4 months, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born May 15, 2021 in Morgantown, W.Va. the daughter of Ryan Sigley and Tylor Wolverton Sigley.

Surviving are her parents; a brother, Ryan Sigley Jr.; paternal grandparents, Amos and Shirley Sigley of Newburg, W.Va.; maternal grandparents, Robert Wolverton Sr. of Lake Lynn, Pa. and Misty Wiles of Terra Alta, W.Va. and many loving uncles, aunts and cousins.
The family will greet friends and family in the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. on Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 30, 2021. Interment will follow in Old Frame Cemetery, Nicholson Township, Pa.

James T. Wiles, 46, of Arthurdale, passed away, Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at home with his doggie, Daisy, by his side after a long battle with kidney disease.

He was born in Morgantown, on December 26, 1976, a son of the late Terry P. Wiles and Beverly J. (Sigley) Kelly of Reedsville.

James was a loving father, son and brother. He loved fishing with his daughter and friends, hunting and the outdoors. He also enjoyed going to state parks and hiking. James liked to build and collect model cars and listen to Hank Williams Sr.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Brittany Kelly and husband Ezra Schonover of Fairmont;
one sister, Kristle Moran and partner Noel Mateo of Loxley, AL; nieces, Renee Greathouse and partner Carlos, Daisy Greathouse, Kristen Greathouse; nephew, Brandon Greathouse and wife Haylee; great niece, Kristlyn Buckingham; great nephews, Hayden and Branlee Greathouse; two uncles, Larry and Randy Sigley.

Friends may call at Field Funeral Home in Masontown for a celebration of his life on Friday, March 31, 2023, from noon until the 1 pm service time with Pastor Kelly Gamble officiating.
