1940 - Census - Cannot find. Some
family trees have John and Jewel in Texas under Thomas and Jewel
Stewart with no children with them. However, their daughter
Glenita Joan was born in 1939, in Shreveport, LA. In 1940,
their daughter would be with them. They are most likely in
either Arkansas or Louisiana or possibly Oklahoma during this Census. According to
the WWII Registrations for both John Sr and John Jr, John Jr was
also still living at home in Bradley, AR in 1942. So chances
are, he was still living with parents in 1940.
