1840 - Census for a Burrel B Kittle
living next door to Hezekiah Kittle. Thomas' middle name of Burr
is probably short for Burrel. This is the only time the name "Burrel"
appears as a possible full middle name for Thomas... if this is in fact
Thomas. The family size and ages fit for Phoebe, Thomas, and
daughter Caroline in 1840.

appear in any Census. The earliest being the MN State
Census in 1857. Elihue is missing from this Census.
Therefore one can assume, he passed away sometime before
this Census. His death could have been anywhere
between VA and MN because the family was moving around a
lot. |

1880 Census with parents. After that, his location is
unknown. In 1880, his parents were in Cabell Co., WV.
I checked all of the James Kittle marriage and deaths in WV
for a match to this James Kittle, with no luck. There
was a James R Kittle that passes away Jefferson Co., KY that
could be this James. The James R Kittle who died in KY
was reported as 45 years old, born in Ohio and died on Jan
16, 1906. Of note, brother Elias has a son James Robert
Kittle.
Some family trees on ancestry.com have this James Kittle
marrying Louisa Cora Kittle. This is a a different
James born in WV. |
