About Emmaline's name -- This name
could have been spelled any number of ways. There is no way to
know which it actually was. Variations in the historical documents are Emaline, Emmeline,
Emeline, Ermeline, etc. I went with the spelling Emmaline because this is
what Spring Hill Cemetery records have as her name. Logic being,
there was probably a grave marker at some point and this was the name
they put on it.......the name, her husband, would have told them to use. |

Huntington, WV based on the birth dates for daughters Henrietta and
Emmisetta. Birth records (see below) show Henrietta born Mar 25,
1876 under the name Emma Wright in Boyd Co., KY and Emmisetta born Nov
21, 1876 in Cabell Co., WV. There is only an eight month
difference between the girls which means, Emmisetta was born
pre-maturely. She probably died young, which is why she does not
appear with the family in the 1880 Census. |

1914, Fred C Crombach is shown living by himself. So I
believe at some point in 1915, May married Fred. |

In the 1930 Census, Fred
and Henrietta May, do not appear. They do however
appear in the Rochester, Monroe Co., NY City Directories at
the same address, 23 Ringle Place from 1921 to at least 1932. I cross referenced
their given home address in the directory with the street
index to get neighbors' names. I then placed those
neighbors' names in the 1930 Census, to see if that address
would appear. The address of 23 Ringle Place was skipped in the
1930 Census.
Meaning there was no one probably home at the time and the census taker
never went back to the house. |

William Bowers, 58, of East
State Street, Larksville, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2006, at
Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Batavia, N.Y., he was a son of the late William and
Dorothy (Young) Bowers. He resided in Larksville most of his
life. Mr. Bowers was employed by Valley Manufacturing of
Wilkes-Barre.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter
Laurie. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, the former Joan
Boney; sons William Francis Bower Jr. and his fiancée
Cynthia, Bohannon, Va.; Richard Bower and his fiancée Lori Chopyak, Wilkes-Barre; daughters Mrs. Deborah Schultz and
husband Leroy, Larksville; Ms. Kimberly Geisinger, Plymouth;
and Ms. Tracy Bower and fiancé Eric Phillips, Larksville;
grandchildren, Glen, Joshua and Sara Geisinger, Ashley;
William Frances III, Rebecca and Madeline Bower; Richard and
Jillian Bower; Alli and Karli Bower; Erica Phillips and
little friend Sarah K.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday from Andrew
Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St., Larksville, with the
Rev. Donald Williams officiating. Interment will be in St.
Vincent’s Cemetery, Larksville. Friends may call Sunday from
2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. |

Christmas Eve, Heaven gained another angel. Sarah E.
Geisinger, 27, of Larksville, passed away due to
complications with diabetes.
Born July 23, 1990, to Glen Robert Geisinger of
Sweet Valley and Kimberly Ann Bower Geisinger of
Larksville. Sarah was a graduate of Wyoming Valley
West High School, Class of 2008, and she obtained
her LPN license after graduating from Wilkes-Barre
Vocational Technical School. She worked at Joan
Bower's Family Daycare and at Keystone Garden
Estates as an LPN. |
There was no greater love in her
life than her 6-year-old son, Nicholas Rokitko. He was
Sarah's little prince and together they loved their
snuggling time. She was a wonderful and dedicated mother.
She also loved going to the ocean, gardening and spreading
love to her family and friends.
Sarah was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather,
William Bower; and her aunt, Tracy Phillips.
In addition to Nicholas (father, John Ritkitko), Sarah is
survived by her loving parents, Glen Geisinger (Robin) and
Kimberly Bower Geisinger (Andrew Fluck); brothers, Glen Jr.
(Daisy), Noxen; Joshua Geisinger Evanitus, Larksville; and
Jeremy Geisinger, Sweet Valley; maternal grandmother and
best friend, Joan Bower, Larksville; paternal grandparents,
Robert and Faye Geisinger, Plymouth; aunts, uncles and
cousins.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from S.J.
Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth. Family
and friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions, if desired, may be made
to Sarah's son, Nicholas Rokitko, care of his grandma,
Kimberly Bower Geisinger. |

Tracy Marie Bower Phillips, 36,
passed away Sunday, May 31, 2015.
She was the daughter of Joan Boney Bower, Larksville, and
the late William F. Bower. Tracy was born in Kingston and
was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School and the
Wilkes-Barre Area Nursing Program. |
Tracy also worked as a foster
care provider and daycare provider.
Tracy married the love of her life, Eric Phillips, and
resided in Larksville with her loving daughters, Alli, Karli
and Erica Phillips. Also, at home, a pack of Chihuahuas
which she loved and took care of. Tracy truly enjoyed a
beautiful home, close family and friends.
Tracy was a member of All Saints Parish, Plymouth. However,
Tracy and Eric had formed a special bond with the Rev. Don
Williams.
Tracy was the youngest of six and the princess and sunshine
of the family, especially her parents and husband. She was
the sunshine in so many lives. Tracy enjoyed gardening with
her mother and husband and learned much from her
mother-in-law and friend, Dorothy Phillips. She loved her
daughters as she loved her fresh flowers. She enjoyed
refinishing old rustic furniture with her mother and
laughing and joking with her sisters, niece Sarah and cousin
Jessica.
She loved so many with all her heart had to give. Her smile
will be etched in our hearts forever.
Tracy was preceded in death by her loving father, William
Francis Bower; infant sister, Laurie Bower; paternal
grandparents, Dorothy and William Bower; maternal
grandparents, Gerald and Mary Finnegan Boney; and
brothers-in-law, Michael and Patrick Phillips.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, husband and daughters,
are brothers, William F. Bower Jr. and his wife, Cindy,
Mathews, Va.; and Richard D. Bower, Larksville; sisters,
Deborah Shultz and her husband, LeRoy, Larksville; and
Kimberly Geisinger and her husband, Andrew Fluke, Larksville;
and nieces and nephews, Glen Geisinger, Joshua Geisinger
Evanitus, Sarah Geisinger and son, Nicholas Rokitko, Richard
and wife, Laura, Jillian and Joseph Bower, Ashley and son,
Michael Harbick, William, Rebekah, Madeline and Mitchell
Bower.
Also surviving are her mother-in-law, Dorothy Phillips,
James Phillips and wife, Deborah, and Rocky Phillips, all
formerly Luzerne residents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from Andrew
Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St., Larksville. Interment at
a later date will be in St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Larksville.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and
from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday.

small flat marker that says Lee Wright. Which was
either, another unknown family member, or a PLOT marker
showing that this is the Lee / Wright plot.
Information posted on the FAG website gives Buddy plot
number as 5-22-3. Parents are in graves 4
and 5.
In a death record on the WV Culture website, there is a
Wright that died Jun 17, 1889 in Cabell Co., WV.
However, this document is so faded that very little
information can be extracted from it. I even did a
gamma boost in my graphics program to see if any other info
might appear. Nope. But if you stare long enough
you can kind-of see the date. |

date, June 17 , and the burial records for Spring Hill, June
19. This is probably Buddy Wright. Also, there
is a possibility that the death date was June 19, and we
just can't read it.
It would be helpful to know the age of the decedent.
Who Buddy Wright was, is also
unknown. Was he a baby that died young? Was
